The sixth-largest pyramid in the world is a Bass Pro Shops in Memphis Tennessee, the merits of capitalism speak for themself.
kill yourself.
OOH BIG BILDING WE R PROSPER AND STRONK
you are the definition of a pleb.
Is it made of 30-ton granite slabs and decked with secret chambers and encoded knowledge of the stars?
Will it last 5,000 years? What about 30 years?
delicious assmad, the great pyramids of giza look like shit btw. Restoration when?
Just a bunch of soulless uniform concrete blocks, all of them.
Seriously, we need to return to our traditions. Nazis claim to care about their respective cultures, but they're too collectivist to have real imagination.
Seriously, get your shit together.
...
underrated
It'll last millennia gleaming under a baking Dixie sun, dispensing billions of weapons, tools, and survival gear to Southerners.
...
You are wrong. According to Albert Speer, Hitler insisted that every German city should retain its particular architectural character.
so much tradition
wow not a resemblance of commie blocks
muh degenerate modern architecture
Beautiful capitalism
Are you blind? In what way are commie blocks the same as traditional gothic architecture?
all i can think of is roof Koreans
Communism really is fascism for brainlet proletarian plebs. That's why it clicked so well with Slavs. Even architecture and sculpture speak for themselves, looks like something children would design, no aesthetic, just a bunch of stronk cool looking stuff mixed together.
Fascit architecture is aesthetic bong nigger. This was a doing of Franco.
>Both from the Art Deco era
I miss Art Deco. Craftsmen can't make any nice shit anymore.
see the file name
>Seriously, we need to return to our traditions.
This board is so far up europe's ass in the most contradictory ways it's hilarious.
Everyone here has a massive disdain for europe because they are constantly elevating new ways of cucking themselves, yet Sup Forums wants to preserve it. Preserve the architecture and culture of men that let their society be invaded, demolished their treasured buildings and replaced them with aberrations, forsake their religion, and let migrants rape their daughters.
Every old architectural style was perceived as too modern and ugly by people of their time. Art Deco was seen as aberration back in the day by conservatives, so was neo classicism, etc. The only way to achieve greatness is defining a transcendent art style based around an idea it tries to convey instead of visuals, which can change based on fashion. Architecture is a mess because we went from building stuff we wanted to appear threatening to stuff we wanted to appear luxuous, then raffinated, then aesthetic, then efficient, then ugly because muh anti comformism. Nazism was the only political ideology to get that and instead of visuals they based it on the feeling they wanted to convey, which was greatness and order, to make the individual feel little compared to the surroundings yet important because of it, much like the church and cathedrals all meant to make men feel little before God, only it's the state in this case. This is why different fascist states adopted different forms of visuals to convey this message based on their populations sensibility, Spain based on Catholic architecture, Italy in Rome, Germany in a mix of Roman and gothic/Prussian.
This
>Implying Europe today is the same Europe that constructed those landmarks
That's like saying if you built a house, and your children burned it down, you should go to prison for arson.
Or rather
>Your wife's 56% children
I've never heard of that interpretation before. Do you have a source to show people considering their cultures respective "new" architecture being ugly? I can imagine that with styles like Art Deco, but what of Victorian or Edwardian styles?
He said we need a return to tradition and the picture he posted was gothic not nazi.
Honestly i think both are good.
>The elevators do not work since the shafts do not line up.
And they Americans have no culture
I love brutalism
I thought the commie blocks were disgusting when I was in East Berlin. Any communist architecture that doesn't emphasize utility and soullessness?
>wanting to have prison blocks scattered through cities
Why?
The italian fascist designed the best buildings
will post examples of 30-50's soviet architecture
All the better to deal drugs in my dear
Ever since a child I've associated it with the lower class and immigrants. Smelly, ugly shitholes

>It's a square

Don't you get bothered from posting this thread everyday?
The Moscow metro is filled with beautiful artwork and statues. It truly is - the - best looking metro in the world.
In terms of actual buildings though, I do have a slight fondness for Tallin's national library. It's kind of blocky, but I believe in a good way. Like a fortress of knowledge.
WE
here some documentary about it

Forgot image. I think the colour of the brickwork and the giant window do enough to soften it's harsh edges.
>Fascist architecture...
Okay, pic related.
I bet it looked real nice before they got REDDED.ussr, you're truly the master race.
I decided to be slightly less annoying and not show anything from the hall-of-cost.

Well I only know about Paris because a friend wrote a thesis about it but the whole history of Paris is a gorillion affluent rich people screeching and signing petitions against new buildings or reformations. They screeched about Haussmann, about painting grey/black shithole Paris with brighter nicer colours as we know it today, screeched about the Eiffel tower, screeched about the Sacré Cœur being too modern and not in the spirit of the church like Notre Dame, screeched about the whole Montparnasse neighborhood, about Montmartre/Moulin Rouge, etc, etc.
Fascism focuses in Imperium, an everlasting conception of the state in all matters as a conjunction of individual wills to form a collective that doesn't take interest in petty human individualistic matters such as politics, freedom, societal issues etc. It's the closest ideology we ever came up with to jus naturalis, transcending human existence and construct our world as paradise on earth, Humans being all deities existing in the greater common goal. Basically Japanese moral code and stoicism made one.
Fascist Italian Architecture

Capitalist reportin'.
That's not really communist desu. It has a tsarist vibe.
I just perfer utilitarian designs over decorative not to say i dislike decorative design. I like being able to see the raw design rather than have it hidden behind pretty pattarns.
Nothing beats 1920's-30's american art deco.
Slovakian socialist era architecture looks like they were going for a "give me that galactic federation communication tower" look.
>art deco

early 19th century American is clearly the best ever and capitalism wins. Thread over
My friend, your tastes is horrendous.
Go watch "Shock of the New".

The one in the right is from Tirana Albania. Albania has some really nice retro-futurist buildings and more recent neoclassical ones.
Empire State Building lobby.

Fascists want to "return" to something that's never existed, "tradition" purged of anything they disagree with.
Unnnnf can every office building have an entrance like that
Early-Mid 20th century New York design is the best
That it's inspired by the aesthetics of your dead royalty palaces and decoration. It's really russian but not at all communist in style.
...
1870-1914 was peak architecture
1970's-1980's Capitalist architecture is the best.
It means you're a little bitch, I thought that metro was made in the 50's
honestly that's pretty fucking cool
Indeed.
Portland:
*Artificially restrict housing supply by limiting
the urban growth boundary.
*Extremely generous homeless benefits
*No enforcement of "no-camping" ordinances.
*Multiple redundant layers of bureaucracy (WTF
does METRO actually do, anyway)?
Real fucking capitalist paradise.
>the jews and leftists are importing thirdworlders where socialist movements have fucked the economy
>it looks bad
>this is capitalisms fault
You wanted them there veggieburger

mooooneey
That's interesting to look at, but it'd put me on edge to walk under it.
There wouldn't be anything intrinsically wrong with that if it weren't for the fact that societal values are so plastic in nature. They seek permanence and ideological purity, but the extent to which that has to be socially enforced is just a testament to how impossible that is.
Every culture had an idea of progress. I think trying to erase it, and purge it in favor of whats new is so short-sighted. That seems to describe the 20th century far moreso than the others, perhaps because of how quickly things have advanced.
^ However, whilst tradition may be confused with Fascism because it desires to eliminate "false progress" in trying to do so, It kind of misses the essence of what those traditions were. It's no less lacking in cultural roots than other ideologies.
it is
while on an engineering point of view it might be interesting, aesthetically it's an atrocity
