If I were an SJW wikipedia admin, I would deliberately try to bog down articles related to the USSR's failings in an effort to avoid providing clarity and make it really boring on top of that so that the reader gives up.

In a free market, providing food in a time of famine is profit city. High profits would incentivize entrepreneurs to get the brightest minds and strongest muscles working on those fields, and they'd do that by offering higher wages than the workers would find in the city so that they'll come to the farms. A shrinking workforce would also raise wages in the city, thus allowing them to buy the food. This kind of shit doesn't happen in capitalist economies.
