Gee, I wonder.
youtube.com
I enjoyed it.
>realistic looking characters are a bad thing
>for something based on heavy realism and angst
The rotoscope sets the tone much better than the manga
Make a live action instead of an anime then.
That would have actually been bad though
Author did it to spite waifufags and guess what happened?
Rotoscoping. 3DPD.
>it's bad because they're not my cute anime girls
wait, this is Sup Forums I'm on. Nevermind
yeah who cares about respect for the source material
It was a live action with shitty filter over it anyway. Might as well remove shitty filter, because people playing in it weren't bad looking and this would be fine as another dorama.
>shit, its the walking part
>10 seconds in, its going to end anytime soon
>13,15 seconds in
>its still ongoing
The long walking part get me every time, looking back it was good shit since it was top comedy while delivering the dull boring town life they were in.
I liked it. Its very sad that we will never have a second season. Still waiting for it
That was the original plan, but then Animax would not agree to air it.
Majority of Sup Forums only can handle Toonami-tier anime experiences.
It's frustrating
Just because it strays from the original art style doesn't make it bad
It was genuinely an improvement. This scene had so much more impact than it did in the manga

Reminder that Aku no Hana is the best directed TV anime of the last 4 years. Only Mushishi (same director), Ping Pong and Space Dandy compete. It was so much better than the manga. Nagahama is a master director who executes atmosphere like no other.
I liked it because it was unsettling, which fit the tone of the story. But you have to admit, it looked bad. I hadn't read the manga before watching the anime so I forgave it for being off-model, but if you were a fan hoping for a faithful adaption then it's understandable that you would be upset.
I actually much prefer the art style of the animation to that of the manga based on that clip. Mind you, I've never read or watched Aku no Hana, but the manga looks like pretty much every other series out there. Isn't it supposed to be some super angsty story? The manga doesn't look like it'd be able to convey that well at all.
The backgrounds were amazing
I defend the Anime adaptation.
The Ambiance some scenes is truly perfect
The soundtrack was great. The ED always gets mentioned in the threads but it's the OPs l can't stop listening to.

Same,
I love that OP single so much.
It's not the backgrounds I was watching.
I never understood this. It pretty much looked like the second act of Aku No Hana was completed with that teaser. Why not just straight-to-DVD it?
They probably just had those specific parts animated to build up hype
Terrible end credits song.
Oh god, I remember that
>walking part
>i'll just bump to 2x speed
>ok 4x
>umm 8x speed?
>you have to be kidding me!
it had potential, but was certainly ruined by forcing an experimental technique and lack of funding.
