Most of the classical "characteristics" come from Hollywood and have nothing to do with mythological vampires or even Bram Stoker's Dracula. And she does drink blood, she just avoids doing so because blood is a drug to her rather than just sustenance.

It made me hate FGO more because Roman could be in a better series.

Then again, without being stuck with him for a year, his death probably wouldn't be as impactful.

Just a few things:

You go to Babylon to stop the goddesses alliance that want to destroy humans. There you encounter Enkidu first but he turns up to be a fake, it's someone possessing Enkidu's dead body (this tips Roman about who is this "Solomon") called Qingu/Kingu. Gilgamesh (Caster) has summoned a lot of Servants to fight the goddesses, including a projection of Merlin. There's some filler and foreshadowing, remains lightheartened and fairly harem-ish where you defeat the goddesses or persuade them to join you until the part you travel to the underworld to rescue Gilgamesh and bring him back to life because he died of being exhausted in general. Anyway, you kill Gorgon who was trying to do this Apocalypse against humans and foolishly awake the second Beast, Tiamat, sin II of "regression", nega genesis. This is the fellow beast "Solomon" tossed a Grail at to use.

Anyway Tiamat pretty much wastes most of Uruk and everyone including Gilgamesh's loyal secretary Siduri is turned into her monstrous children. From there is an uphill battle to fuck Tiamat up. Gilgamesh dies again to save your life, but returns as Heroic Spirit in the Afterlife to Ea Tiamat (who has gained a concept of Death thanks to King Hassan). It's got a general adventure tone and more or less a bit less serious. There are good moments like Kingu's realization of his love for Uruk and rebellion against Tiamat, even if he's not Enkidu, he realizes he wants to protect Uruk, his people and be with Gilgamesh, he sacrifices himself to become the chains that drag Tiamat to the afterlife. Or Merlin slipping through Avalon to help in the end.

So who was Roman?

The hints of Roman being more what it seems are very obvious. He acts more serious than usual in contrast to Merlin. Gilgamesh has some kind of mad respect (for his standards) for Roman and out of blue asks him his plan, counsel and shoos everyone to speak to him and do strategy in private. Ishtar is shocked Gilgamesh treats Roman as kind of a peer. Roman also gets set up as "Solomon" opposite and gives Mashu a really wise and touching advice after she has a nightmare with "Solomon" trying to pass as Roman. He explains what's the value of living and history. Fou's foreshadowing he's a Beast (actually Primate Murder, Beast IV) is here too.

It if serves any comfort, nips are speculating he'll be in Extella 2 or something because the butterfly representing his soul was seen flying toward the Moon in the PV. But I'm not sure if Extella is any better than FGO. FGO had brilliant moments and others which were trash. The good things were really fucking good. Roman is great. I'm glad Nasu didn't genderswap him.

I, for one, love FGO since it means I don't have to browse Type Moon threads anymore, setting me free from this decade old curse.

Also, since I hear it's topping even the likes of Granblue on grossing charts, I am glad for Nasu since he finally found what he was looking for perhaps since around Hollow Ataraxia: A way to make the maximum amount of money with the least amount of effort.

Roman was the real Solomon. During the Fuyuki's Grail War, Olga's father summoned him as Caster and they won the war, pretended Saber and their Master won so nobody would be after Mauricebilly's money (he wished for that). Mauricebilly befriended Solomon and persuaded him to make a wish. He made a wish: "I want a second life as a normal human being." So Doctor Roman was born. As he got his second life he lost his powers but the last thing he saw was a vision of destruction. So instead of leading a carefree life, Solomon as Roman dedicated his entire day to tirelessly save history and humanity.

The "Solomon" in London was Goetia, the first Beast, sin of "pity", possessing his body (who he resurrected after nesting there).

"Solomon" = Goetia, king of Demons, possessing his body. He wanted to remake the planet since before the genesis to make it without a concept of death, at his image.

There's only one Fuyuki grail War in FGO, Solomon Caster and his Master Mauricebilly won, but because Mauricebilly wanted to avoid problems with other magus now he had his money to support his Chaldea project, he reported the Master of Saber won.

He never lost his memories. He... is complicated. Think of Solomon like a mix of Artoria, Enkidu, Arc and the subplot of BB/Blossom (for Goetia's existence). In life, he was a kind, beloved leader who seemed a bit of a coward because he loved peace, but that "personality" was only like that because God willed it. He was an empty, ego-less and desireless vessel of divine will despite being an "onmipotent and omniscient" king: just an agent of providence. his first wish and the only one he made in his life made him Roman. He is naturally like that: clumsy and kind, without self-esteem (which makes Da Vinci scold him) who has no longer divine gifts or special genius traits, but he is full of perseverance. He basically learned to be human and then dedicated his entire new life to save humanity and history even if he had no idea what to do.

While Goetia, who hijacked his body, looked down humans and pitied them. Solomon loved them and forgave their shortcomings, having hope in their future and seeing value in their ephemeral journeys.

It's dead, user. Just wait for the new version to include SHIKI and Merem.

Solomon was a "system", he had no personality, it was empty OP vessel for God to move. Roman who was the human life Solomon desired, is naturally a dork. He's truthfully an airhead guy who sees beauty in life, even if death is painful, and has the biggest balls you can ever think of. Even Gilgamesh has mad respect for him.

The Lawful Good Alignment wasn't a meme.

Mashu dies briefly tanking Goetia's NP but was later brought back to life by Fou who sacrifices all his accumulated power and sentience and becomes a regular animal in exchange. She helps (you) out Solomon's crumbling temple. Fou gave her a regular human lifespan. Fou congratulates Chaldea for defeating the fourth Beast (him) without violence.

Fou and Roman were the true heroes of the finale.

Feels good that I'm the only one who like her so I can claim her as mine only
