Code Geass R2

>Decide to rewatch Geass due to S3 coming soon
>Give R2 another chance
>It's actually pretty freaking good. Way better than I remember.

Was R2 unfairly judged? It actually a damn good show and still blows modern anime out of the water. It's amazing.

So did you just ignore the China arc or what?

why did you think it wasn't so god damn good in the first place ? why did you think it was good when you rewatched it ?
i remember that i liked the plan of charles when i rewatched it but that was before i watched EVA and discover that it was ripped off from it .

what's wrong with china arc ? the only problem was that chess match . the whole arc was pretty good

What's the problem? How it wasn't really relevant in the long run for the plot? It was relevant at the time.

Why was R:2 so poorly received? I think it's becahse the shows 'foundations' were debased.

Lelouch goes from being the Underdog to owning the world

Suzaku goes from being a moralfag to nuking a city

The mechs start flying and shit when before they were forced to stay on the ground and do cable shit

The black knights turn on Zero

There are coherent explanations for everything but all the changes happen very fast.

I dont feel like wrting an good post

I just recently rewatched both seasons one after the another, R2s problems becomes a lot more clear when R1 is fresh in your head

>>There are coherent explanations for everything
>Zero why did you leave us during the black rebellion?
>To destroy Britannia
>'kay fine, welcome back!
There's a lot of really poor explanations/reasoning going on in that season

For starters, the whole opening of the season can be a bit confusing.
Even when you figure it out there are a few things at the start left unexplained and you sorta just have to assume a few things, and there are several silly things.

I remember the scene where masked man was allowed to travel back home and somehow a million people came out of nowhere.

The show also had like three endings in five episodes.
