Why is there so much anger towards Oreimo?

Why is there so much anger towards Oreimo?
I watch the series and I enjoyed it.
I don't see the problem?

Typical worst girl wins.

Kuroneko was, literally, the best thing ever.
Like Rem level best girl.
And she lost. Horrifically. And then he went on to subsequently crush every other girl's hopes before going full 100% incest inside his little sister.

Oreimo was, to me, a funny bonding story about a brother and his sister who never really got along with eachother coming closer to shared interests.
So when it went full blown romance it was just meh

Fanfiction-tier writing, mostly (like Kirino being an obnoxious cunt to everyone around her being justified by...Manami calling her weird years before the main series?)

The fujoshit girl was unironically the best part of the series.

youtube.com/watch?v=PcG_h2JFVWs

I do agree Kuroneko was the best girl.
But simple because you are the best dosn't always mean you win.
This is a story on life and love, and so you don't always get what you want.

Loserfags are pretty vocal over their girls losing. But the real kicker is normalfags not pleased with incest ending.

I really thought that incest would of been a selling point.
Why else would you watch anime called what it is?

Is there? All things considered, Oreimo had a mild fallout when the series ended, especially compared to when the anime first started to the specials.

For a series like Oreimo, there will always be vocal minorities against Kirino aka best girl winning. It comes with the territory.

I know, right?

I actually don't care about who "won"--not like Kyousuke is much of a prize anyway. I just think it was a poorly-written, obnoxious, melodramatic mess. I've made the comparison before, but it's the equivalent of the trashy soap operas my abuela watches.

the incest

In one word, shipperfags. Just see this thread, even more than 3 years later people are butthurt their favorite girl lost. I enjoyed the anime too but it is not good, a lot of content got butchered or just cut.

All these years and the salt is still flowing strong

Best girl won. It was the imouto. The other girls along with their fans got shot down to the point of tears.

And Kirino, Sora and Mikan are old and busted.
Pic related is the new hotness.

Normalfags BTFO by the show.

Kyousuke and Kirino's relationship developed at a snail's pace and they only hooked up at the second half of the final volume. We barely got to see them interact as an official couple and the break up promise felt like a kick in the nuts. I'm well aware of the implications that the author left to hint that they're still together, but it still feels like a disappointment

The break up was one last attempt from Kirino for them to go back to a normal life, but Kyou proved that they were too in love with each other to go back to simply being siblings
I lay all the blame for the ambiguity on Fushimi's editors and publishers for pushing him.

It's just that faggots that have little sisters in real life project their own prejudice on this show and can't suspend their disbelief for a second to enjoy a nice incest story.

Like I said, I get what Fushimi was trying to do, but as someone who was hoping for more I can't help but feel pissed off at the ending

Because not only is incest the worst but kirino was a bitch. Literally typical bad tsundere won and the fact that it was incest dropped it even lower

In the end, we got the best we could have asked for. We got a positive ending, and we got confirmation that they were still together. It's just HEAVILY implied, rather than explicitly stated.

Fuck off with your NBR shit.

It just wasn't fulfilling to me. An incestuous relationship is a big deal, and the Kousaka siblings spent far too little time as a couple to face the consequences of their love. The only conflict they faced was the confrontation with Manami, and even that felt like a rushed attempt to address the wrongness of their feelings for each other.

It's my fault for expecting some Koi Kaze levels of relationship development from a Dengeki Bunko LN, but I can't help but feel that themes like that should go hand-in-hand with incestuous romances.

Because aside from being a blood related sister Kirino is complete shit with no redeeming qualities.

Incest is best but this was the one situation where it wasn't the best option.

Also Kirino's fan base is completely full of faggots. Sora won in YnS yet her fans aren't nearly as retarded.

If we had had more time with them after their relationship started and "ended", I think we would have seen some more fallout. We know that Neko and Manami know for sure about them, Saori suspects and disapproves, their parents POSSIBLY suspect and/or know, and Ayase and Kanako are in the dark, but might have guesses as to their feelings for each other. Knowing all of this, if it had continued then we would have probably seen some kind of conflict. Someone would have stepped up against them, probably one of their parents after Manami told them. It's why I love Hoshikuzu Namida so much, because it paints a realistic picture of both their relationship, how much they truly love each other, and what could happen if it was discovered

>Neko
>A retarded chuuni who lost sight of her own goal
>Ayase
>A fucking lunatic who is obsessed with Kirino
>Kanako
>A literal who
>Saori
>Not interested in Kyou
>Manami
>A boring cunt who psychologically fucked Kirino so badly she fell in love with her own brother
And Kirino is the bad ending?

>And Kirino is the bad ending?

Yes, it's amazing how shit of a character she is. Truly a modern spectacle of terrible character design all rolled up into one package.

Then why is she so perfect?

>rem level best girl
I understand rem is a nice girl but this meme needs to go

It was just a meme that got spammed into creation like Keit Ai or Evangelion.

>Hoshikuzu Namida
It hurts to remember. The fact we might never get the final part because the author disappeared off the face of the Earth is infuriating

These two seconds were the only redeeming part of Oreimo.

It's honestly a good thing Kuroneko lost as badly as she did. Remember how loud and numerous her fanbase was? Can you imagine how they would have reacted if she somehow managed to win? We'd probably still have daily character worship threads to this very day.

If 4 hadn't left off with such a fucking tease, I wouldn't be so angry. I think Fushimi had NIL killed for spoiling the true ending

...

I'm going to be unbiased here. We HAVE had almost daily Kirino worship threads, so the only difference would have been it would revolve around Neko, and the Rinofans would be the eternally salty ones
But I could have tolerated it if Neko had won. Can you imagine the fallout if, inexplicably, Manami had won?

>Someone saved my webm
I love you

Oh god I can watch this gif all day and I won't get tired of it

...

I shall aswell.

Oreimo is amazing and like most popular anime including NGNG and SAO Sup Forums loved it so much and talked about it nonstop but the second it ended acted liked they hated it because its popularity with normal humans. If the series was "underground" and didn't do that well or didn't make very much money it would easily be one of the best shows here but because it hit so well with the norm and people liked it in the real world despite there being incest and other typical anime things that were used to but we perceive normal people would never accept and then accepting anyways most people here find that scary like our precious gem we hold so close into our hearts and feel like only a select elite few or the national population can understand and accept is being taken from us by people who have no idea what they're even truly viewing because even though they may have watched Oriemo they will never understand anime the way we do because of how much of out lives we've invested in it which is misguided in my opinion because yea even if these people will likely never understand anime like many of us who grew up with this stuff and know all the memes and literally hundreds of shows anime is a beautiful thing and people should experience it. The fact that Oriemo got the attention of these normals is actually a good thing in my opinion and maybe it's because I love showing people with no experience anime and blowing their minds with the whole new world but I think it's something we all must do for the very fact that we love it so much if not for anything else. I remember my mom at one paint hated anime and I finally convinced her to watch Death Note which may seem word as a first anime and I realize death note isn't underground or anything special but based of the types of shows she likes I felt like that would be a good place to start after about the third episode she literally couldn't stop watching it and finished the entire thing in a couple days. Kuroko is best fyi.

Sorry for the grammar. I had to cut corners to make space to the cap.

That was a mouth full, but I bet you're use to that sort of thing, thinking that Oreimo is a good show and all.

Maybe I'm being biased and misremember things, but if I remember correctly, Kuroneko was by far the most popular girl on Sup Forums, more popular than all the other girls put together. I imagine a decent amount of people who have jumped on Kirino train have only done it to be contrarian and spite the loser's fanbase.

user there is so much anime on earth and to say Oriemo is bad is a valid opinion but the quality and story are good in my opinion and many others and the character designs are cute but I'll personally say that I think Yusuga no Sora was a much more beautiful story and even though it wasn't as flashy and that might be an unpopular opinion but it's one of my favorite anime ever and I'm perfectly okay with that because anime is so vast and different it's amazing and there's something for everyone. I like so many shows that are so different people wouldn't even believe I'm the same person if they read them on paper. Anime is just one of the best forms of entertainment in my opinion and I love it so much that I can't really hate on any series. Ive watched so much anime from the time of being a little kid up until now and I've never dropped a dongle one no matter how bad I thought some may have been. It's all beautiful and takes a ton of work to create and I can respect that at the very least.

Never dropped a single one*

You sound like a person with terrible shit taste.

Nice punctuation

I understand that frustration, they dated for 3 months and we got barely anything about that time which sucks. I think he couldn't do that for the obvious censorship reasons though, I'm content with how it turned out.

Fuck off namefag.

>muh neko

I know I honestly need to take the time and go back over what I write but when I'm excited about the topic I'm usually pretty eager to hit post which is a problem I need to work on.

Cute dubs. Two is my favorite number so be proud of them.

The ending was a train wreck and it wasn't only a matter of who won. Kyousuke had a variety of relationships growing naturally from participating in his sister's hobby. Then once the end was getting close everything was accelerated into a gauntlet of love confessions that was absolutely out of character for everyone, especially Manami who randomly became a villain. Was that really necessary? It ruined all the girls a bit.

Mostly anime only problems.

The only out of character confession was maybe Kanako's. All others were perfectly understandable

Yeah, Kuroneko had the most fans during S1 followed by Kirino, Manami and Ayase in that order. I wouldn't say that it was "more than all the other combined" but it was up there.

Neko, though, had the issue of being a literal seasonal waifu. She's basically the poster girl for that now. A lot of people just didn't bother with her in between seasons and never actually returned. Others ended up jumping ships. Ayase got most of those ship jumpers. Manamifags disappeared and Kirinofags stayed and recruited more faggots.

By the time S2 aired, there were more Kirinofags than Kuronekofags around and Ayasefags were a distant third.

Because it's hot fucking garbage that people insist is better than it is only because of the incest-ending.

It's fan-fiction tier shipping bullshit that's canon, and instead of being lambasted as it should it has a cult following that people take seriously. This shit shouldn't exist outside deviantart.

People can't comprehend the fact that the whole series was based on the siblings' longing to simply get along with each other

>muh neko :'((((((
>incest is disgusting11!!!11!!

What hurt you about this series the most because I don't think it was the incest user because in anime terms that not really weird unless you're a new fan. I think what's bothering you is this "cult fan base" you mentioned which brings me back to the original point. Just because this series is popular isn't a valid reason to discredit it. If you take the time to watch the series for what it is you'd most likely enjoy it but something inside my heart tells me you have already watched it all the way through and enjoyed it already.

>i wont read things and ill interpret my own meanings to words

Okay, I'll spell this out for you guys so it's easier for your brains to handle it
1) It's not actually a good show. The animation and art are solid, but the story is absolutely vapid and so stupid that it can't be made up for.

2) The only reason anyone remembers it as being good is because it's a mainstream anime that has an incest ending. That kind of stuff almost never happens outside of actual porn or crack-shipping. It's the only interesting facet of the entire series, that the author had the balls to go through with it. BUT it's still not enough to make up for how fucking terrible the story is.

3) Because of it's fan-fiction tier meme ending, it has a cult following. The incest ending is literally the only reason it's popular. If the author had paired anyone else, no one would remember or give a shit about the show, because its fucking bad.

I hope that makes sense for you, but probably not since you're an assumptive jackass and a fucking namefag.

Maybe I was deluding myself but I felt like Oreimo was above being cliche haremshit even if that was a big reason for its appeal. The scene where every girl in the story is arguing over who gets to prepare his lunch, even Saori, dispelled that. The interactions were amusing back when it wasn't explicitly about romance. Making every girl confess her love was a contrived way of giving some shitty abrupt closure for each "route" that made it really obvious this is a LN.

I Love Live Oreimo and I don't care who knows about it.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=EuHqFjqq4Y8

Thanks for your opinion.

Because it's incest and that's disgusting.

>purest form of love
>disgusting

>2017
>still not getting the ending
It really is incredible how Oreimo actually is too deep for some anons.

Literally the only thing to get is that benis in bagina is still occuring

Take a minute and try and see the story from the characters in the story and their perspective and put yourself in their shoes and you'll see that Kirino isn't as bad as some of you all see her. She's hurt inside and lashes out something similar to Asuka from Eva although I realize it's much different but she is actually very sweet and the fact that you have to work so hard to break her shell and see that side of her is amazing in my opinion. I think Kirino is easily 100%.

Seriously fuck off with your namefagging.

i want to marry kirino

Yea but seriously how about no. How do you feel about that because I bet you don't like it very much.

It was hilarious seeing Manami getting destroyed for her meddling but the whole series is extremely stupid. I would be more satistfied if they didn't do the "lmao we were merely pretending I turned down all those girls for 2 months of bullshit"

Once again if you look at the story from Manami's eyes she wasn't out of line at all. Her love was being stolen by somebody who shouldn't have been a threat to her and although it sounds pretty and Manami isn't perfect by any means she was probably severely hurt by this and other things she's gone through in her life including how she's treated by her love in the first place. I feel for her character deeply and didn't like the fact that her and Kirino had to come down to blows. I honestly felt disappointed in them and it hurt because I know they both have differences but inside they're bolth suffering and the true evil in this whole situation that nobody really talks about is her brother for letting everything escalate to that and in not talking about that moment I literally mean everything. Manami also has a soothing voice.

Of course he's a self absobed idiot who doesn't know how to post. Also a Narutofag and a crossboarder, how surprising. is that way.

>Her love was being stolen by somebody who shouldn't have been a threat to her
That was her fault
>she was probably severely hurt by this
Good, I'm glad

I've said I pretty much like all anime user. Why would Naruto be any different?

You can have your opinion but she's just a little girl when it all comes down to it and being shut down that hard would destroy most people along with everything else she's endured. Im just saying I feel for her because I realize that in her mind she feels she's right but is seen by most as the bad guy which is relatable for me at least.

I've asked many times and have yet to receive a acceptable answer. It seems like we will never know for sure. We must simply accept it.

Manami set herself up for disappointment when she expected Kyousuke to change to be more suitable for her.

Infact, most girls in the series made this mistake. It wasn't until that someone was supportive of even the 'troublesome' aspects of his personality. With Manami he couldn't show gusto or it'd annoy her, and with Kuroneko he couldn't show weakness because she needed a supporting figure. Kirino loved him for both.

Kirino is love.
Kyousuke is life.

...

Fuck off with your lewd.

I agree Kirino deserved it more but I'm just saying I feel for Manami even though I fully realize she's not ideal because most people aren't even close.

Personally I lost all interest after Kirino went batshit crazy in volume 7. This series is for masochists who want a girl to abuse them I guess.

That was the largest turning point of her character so you missed all the stuff you were looking for.

You mean how she acted shitty out of jealousy for a few hours? You call that batshit crazy? Go away.

She had her coworker come to her friends big event of the year to cause a ton of extreme drama and then in the end she throws a plate at Kyousuke even after he does everything she wanted him to with her bullshit scheming(causing him to bleed). On top of all that she never properly apologizes for her continuous domestic abuse and rudeness (an apology wouldn't make up for all that shit though).

>in the end she throws a plate at Kyousuke even after he does everything she wanted him to with her bullshit scheming(causing him to bleed).
Talking in terms of the LN because that's what you mentioned, she threw cake at him. There's no plate and there's no blood.

>Kyousuke is actually a total siscon from the start and wants to make then-innocent Kirino into a full brocon
>tempts Manami into falling in love with him
>makes her jealous by spending time with his sister
>Manami takes the bait and confronts Kirino and makes her develop a brother complex
>intentionally fucks up so Manami can offer her support and calming him down
>turns into a slob so Kirino gets angry and the two distance themselves from each other, making Kirino into a massive brocon
>knows about Kirino's otaku tendencies from the very beginning
>"offers his help"
>grooms Kirino by spending time with her after so many years
>she wants the d but tsun is too stronk
>seduces neko so Kirino gets even more jealous
>takes advantage of neko's kindness for Kirino and takes a gamble
>neko dumps him
>pretends to be sad
>Kirino finally gives in and shows some affection to him
>dumps every other girl
>makes a confession in front of an audience so Kirino thinks he's serious
>makes a big scene while dumping Manami to make Kirino sure he loves her
>benis in bagina
All according to keikaku

Saori was there when Kyousuke confessed and was informed that they were dating the next day. She was surprised at first, but seemed pretty okay with it. According to the LN, Kirino also told Ayase, but her reaction was not shown.

I can understand that they would tell their closest friends about it, but when Kirino spilled the beans to Sakurai, someone whom she had never met before, without hesitation, I got the feeling that the author wasn't taking their relationship seriously enough. It didn't help that Sakurai herself accepted it pretty fast, and it felt like incest in the Oreimo universe had no weight whatsoever.

What the other user said, anime only bullshit. Also she did apologize several times, most notably in volume 11 and 12.

With all that being said Ayase is clearly best girl. Goodnight nerds.

>trying to reason with Tsunshit cucklets

Don't bother, it's like talking to a wall. They suffer from actual mental illness.

>>Oreimo was, to me, a funny bonding story about a brother and his sister who never really got along with eachother coming closer to shared interests.
>So when it went full blown romance it was just meh

Thanks for putting my feelings into words. I enjoyed it a lot more when that's what it was. The second season was just garbage, really. It went from a sort of cute and fun story to generic harem trash out of nowhere. It was so jarring when all of the girls suddenly and bizarrely fall in love with whats-his-face.

The worst girl usually does win. Nobody knows why this happens. Anime always usually follows the same romance formula as their Harem formula: The New girl he notices in episode 1 beats all the rest.

>pic related
Here's another example of a girl that will lose. It's a shame considering she's by far best girl.

You're wrong about this 100% but I cant quote it for you right now because they took it off baka-tsuki and the torrent I'm downloading cant find any peers. If you have any way to actually find this thing reread that part in volume 7 because I distinctly remember it.

People get mad when their shitty waifus and "best girls" loose. It's pretty stupid considering it was pretty obvious from the beginning that Kirino would win.
