Comfy /vanpol/ thread continued

Van/pol/ discord: ugVC8v

Ugh, I’ve got to download discord on my icuck again

you can use it in your browser tho

O shit I’m just retarded then

Bumping this. Get in here you faggots.

Cypress, Grouse and Seymour mountains.
I loved skiing them.

Never to Seymour, how’s it compare to the others?

tfw been skiing since I was 5 and lived here my whole life but only skiied on cypress or Seymour a handful of times cause grouse is too cheap to beat.

Bumpu

I enjoyed it, quite small runs though, but they all are. I'm definitely more into double blacks at Whistler, Silver star, and Sun peaks was my favourite.

>tfw only went skiing like twice in my life
>only thing I do for fun in the winter is get drunk with friends

That gondola ride is something else.
And the lumberjack stuff with the wild animals is pretty cool too in the summer.

I’m probably going to remake this thread sometime in the morning, considering most van anons are going to be asleep right now

Went up the first time this season recently, even after all these years the gondola ride up before skiing is one of my favourite things to do before any activity.

More into kayaking in the summer months now user, and I sure wish I had of been into kayaking back when I lived in Vancouver.
I was so close to Stanley park back then and all I did for fun was drive around the seawall, or bike it in the summer, also some crabbing off the piers by Lions gate bridge and a few others.

Is kayaking something you can start on your own with moderate physical fitness without dying, or would you recommend a course or 2 to learn how to do the re-righting maneuvers.

I wish I was wealthy enough to live here.

I'd suggest just getting one and heading out. Once you get into it they are very stable and I wouldn't suggest hitting any rapids or anything till you get use to it. I haven't flipped one yet ad I have been doing it several years. I haven't mastered rolling them yet with the wet skirt on yet but will be practising this summer on the lakes first.
I know they rent kayaks up in Indian arm at the park there ( can't remember the name) by all the boat docks.
Kayaking is really easy to get a handle on, and takes very little energy to just paddle around, it's a blast.
I'd pick a kayak over a canoe or other boat any day because they are so light to carry and easily transportable, and much harder to tip over..

Live in surry

Just seeing the mountains everyday is worth it desu

>Hongcouver

You dumb leafs sold your best city out to chinks. Sad!

I'm guessing that's the poor part of BC?

How many of you are degenerate Chinese?

It’s filled with pajeets

>ywn stroll around a comfy neon-blitzed late-50's Anglo Vancouver in a light rain before stopping by a luncheonette to eat a salmon burger and milkshake with fries for a pre-Loonie paper buck.

Welp; time to breathe helium until I breathe nothing at all.

I remember seeing very few whites when I was living in Vancouver and I left there around 2009. Hongcouver is right. Many esl students learning engrish and filling up the sidewalks.
I'd never go back to live in Vancouver now, I'd much rather north about 3 hrs above Whistler in Gold bridge or Bralorne area. Fucking gods country but not much going on

It’s weird being nostalgic for a time before I was born :(

At least it's cheap

>Why vacation in Hong Kong when I can just hop over the border?

This is like Austin's 6th street instead we still have our neon lights.

It hurts

Vanc-pol?

>Letting the invasive shitskin parasite make the thread

Go home you fucking wetback.

You gave every one of your cities to niggers, jews, and spics.

Nostalgic for a time when shitskins like you weren't in the country?

Get the fuck out and we can go back to that time. You are the problem.

Seriously Canada we had a nice thing going for 2 minutes and you let the shitskin coopt it within a single thread.

We had a huge vancouver pol thread. Wad comfy desu

Fuck this city.

What a beautiful place to live. To bad you fucks ruined it with multiculti ridiculousness.

>vancouver

>white

VOTE TRUDEAU IN 2019 UNIRONICALLY

Scheer is a continuation of Harper faggotry. He will import millions of Chinese and Indians into this country every year. Don't vote for Conservatives just because they aren't liberal. Trudeau's approval is falling fast. Everyone hates him. It's better to let hate for him fester for another term that let a faggot fuck over the Conservatives for the next 3 decades.

I'm going to vacation there later in the month. Recommendations on where to go?

>2019
>Trudeau wins, barely

>hate for him grows

>2023
>Far-right candidate runs
>actually wins

Meetup when?

Jeez, and I thought chinks were anti-social. Must be you get a bit more lively when you're talking inter se.

Vanity rep pin

This place is so dark right now I'm depressed as fuck.

Anyone wanna study together tomorrow? I need friends.

it will remind you of home with grey skies everyday and a bit of rain

if you can ski, go to the mountains
ubc museum of anthropology has a lot of native stuff, the ones right on the coast were more advanced than most in canada

Everyone's asleep now :(

I was planning on going to Whistler. I hope there's a place that does a mean hot pot when I get back

We need more comfy Van threads. Obviously there's a lot of us faggots on here.

Try the Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot, they do a nice all you can eat. It's expensive but that's Hot Pot.

No we don't. Die now.

Spotted the Toronto nigger

Vancouver aquarium is nice, but not sure if open all year long.

In Squamish there is a old mine that has tours.
You can go through the mine on the old mine carts and do the whole tour.
They also had gold panning afterwards where you could pan some garnets, and maybe get lucky and find some Gold.
You're going to see some awesome scenery on your way to Whistler, and Shannon falls is on the right before Whistler I believe.

Thanks! I'll check it out

Head up to the local mountains also, especially Grouse mountain, the one in the middle. You can take the gondola up the mountain and have a bite to eat in the restaurant up there.
