Set up a future element that will probably have a very dissapointing resolution

>HxH
>disappointing
lol

>implying he won't meet with gon to give him his nen back by making gon chimera ant

That would be incredibly retarded and I can see it happening.

>HxH
>resolution

Final antagonist, he and gon will fight then talk about life and death and what it means to kill.

Second to final arc of Hunter x Hunter

What's the final arc please tell me

Leorio vs Hisoka.

The last arc will be about Gon's kid.

I don't know.

It took years for him to setup NGL and he didn't have any worthwhile nen abilities while he was human.

Now he's starting over from nothing again with no one to help him (like Pitou with the other chimera ants) and Togashi expects us to believe he's some important plot point?

Honestly I think he's going to be dropped completely or resolved quickly in one chapter.

He will conquer the known world while every one else is in the Dark Continent

Meteor City arc

Considering the anime didn't even mention how he is supposed to meet Gon someday, I kind of expect him to be dropped. Not saying the anime is more important, but I feel like Togashi doesn't want to bother with the character anymore.

That's pretty stupid, user.

The only noteworthy thing chimera ant Jairo has done was leave the Queen's influence but every other chimera ant did the same.

He also thought of himself as a king but so did every other chimera ant who left the nest.

He didn't learn any nen from Pitou's group either.

He has literally NOTHING going for him and yet people are hyped about what will he do when he shows up again.

Yeah it'd have to actually progress anywhere for it to be able to disappoint.

I'm saying that your fear of Togashi dropping Gyro because the anime didn't give a shit is stupid.

Didn't the anime had a whole chapter based on gyro backstory?

He's going to be a major antagonist or ally in the future. Togashi had never gone into depth on a character's background like that before so I don't think he would do it on just a throwaway character.

It did.

but it skipped the part where Gyro was said to eventually meet Gon in the future.

>Now he's starting over from nothing again with no one to help him (like Pitou with the other chimera ants) and Togashi expects us to believe he's some important plot point?

What are you talking about? The last time wwe see them, Hina, Welfin and several other Chimera Ant survivors are chasing after Gyro to meet up with him.

It did? Lol that was the best part. Something about them meeting right now wouldn't be good for gon or that nature. Main reason people are hyped.

Hina was so cute! I want to marry her!

He had nothing when he left.

and Welfin being so optimistic about when they finally find Gyro is a bad sign in Togashi's story.

Yeah. They'll probably find Gyro dead in a ditch. That's why Togashi spent so much time on Gyro's background.

But him leaving the nest was important, because he did it immediately, whereas the other ants left only because the queen had died and the king was born.

Setting up a future villain. But it'll take another decade at least for the Black Whale and Dark Continent arcs to end before we get a Meteor City arc with him in it.

I wanted a Meteor city arc but it will never happen

What the fuck has Togashi been doing the past 5 or 6 months?

He's been doing chapters so they can release them when he next needs a break so when he continues they can hopefully not have a break again for a while.

anti-thesis of gon

That's great. I heard that it'll be coming back in the middle of 2017, is this true?

I haven't actually heard anything about a return date yet, but in the interview last August his assistant said they had about 6 months of content planned to release so Togashi can have up to 6 months off and when he continues he can hopefully not have a hiatus between the end of that premade content and the new stuff. My guess is sometime this year, for them to get 6 months worth done it'll probably take 7 or 8 months given how Togashi can't sit still for extended periods and even then it hurts.

There are a lot of sites reporting that it's coming back in February but they keep citing other sites which cite other sites which then have no citation, so it's probably just a rumour. Also that his wife who is the creator of Sailor Moon will take over doing the art while he just does writing and key line work and composition for the panels, but people start rumours about that every time we get a hiatus, so it's probably bullshit. Some time this year seems pretty likely but when I've no clue.

Some are even saying that WSJ are finally tired of him and are assigning another writer to it.

you shouldn't be giving rumors citing rumors a second thought.

did that cat die

I'm not I'm just hypothesising, I just like to mention rumours for context, and spitballing potential scenarios. 99% of the time uncited rumours are bullshit so there's no reason to believe them but it's fun to speculate.

It was extremely painful.

no it evolved into catbro. didn't you ever watch digimon?

HxH is shit

I-I'll f-fight you

This isn't possible unless Togashi agrees to it, the original creator actually has a lot of power over how their works are portrayed in Japan (in theory, but reality isn't always so kind). This type of thing could only ever happen to a mangaka who was forced to agree, but Togashi holds all the cards in his relationship with WSJ.

He parallels Gon and Chrollo.

he's a villain for go to face while everyoe is away o the dc

>implying Gon hasn't stowed away on board the Black Whale after Ging told him about the Dark Continent and hyping him up on it
>implying the Black Whale arc won't be a total bloodbath and right as soon as the slaughter is over Gon will find his way out onto the deck after getting lost and be totally oblivious to what just happened, ready for fun adventures

I will laugh if this happens

I hope Kurapika has just brutally killed someone and and the fight is over, only for Gon to pop out of nowhere and be excited to see him then notice he's covered in blood and the chapter ends there comically with neither knowing what to say.

A BATTLE TO END THEM ALL

What is this?

animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2017-01-03/hunter-hunter-yoshihiro-togashi-draws-avant-garde-musicians/.110564

>togashi draws jun togawa
Fucking based, great taste that man has.

Togashi had to stall while he figured out how he was going to use the chimera ants and wrote a backstory to keep readers saatiated for a little while. NGL also needed a leader, just not one who could stand up to the ants.

Why do the so called "normies" hate the Chimera Ant arc so much? It's like everything that happens in it goes completely over their heads.

Is it impossible to enjoy this series with an IQ lower than 120?

It's a dog you fucking idio holy fuck

Stop falseflagging.

Foreshadowing for a future that will never come.

Is Gyro a metaphor for socialism?

He's a metaphor for human struggle, and desire emerging from a lack of direction and pressure.
It's sort of an opposite to Gon's single mindedness about his goal and general neutral attitude towards most things, with his short term near-obsessions.

Do you even know what falseflagging means?

Yes, the country he's running is a reference to Cambodia and Khmer Rogue. So he was Paul Potts, their leader.

Communism since he is the sole leader instead of a democratic party.

No idea but whenever it's brought up HxHfags get very defensive. Pretty sure Togashi completely forgot about him and left the set-up there for the future. I thought he would be the end game or play some role at the end of Chimera Ant Arc.

I'm still upset that shalnark and kortopi are dead. why couldn't they kill off Franklin or something

Dark Continent is pretty much gonna be the last big arc. Maybe a tiny arc after it to end it properly but if is gonna show up, he will definitely be on the dark continent arc. After all he's a chimer ant now, not too far fetched to assume he'd like to go where the original chimer ants are for whatever the reason.

Which characters do you want to see interact with each other on the boat?

Togashi said he had like 3-4 arcs planned for after Chimera Ant in an interview but I think you're right in saying it's the last big one.

I think we'll have one more gon arc and one more zoldyck arc afterwards

Morel and the troupe

Because your butt wouldn't hurt nearly as much.
Morel+Knov VS Beyond's team VS Phantom Troupe
Phantom Troupe VS Rubber Ghoul VS Kakin Royalty
Don't care about Zodiacs but whoever they fight it's fine by me.

I just want my boi Morel to style over some bitch niggas with Knov.

I just want more Ryodan shenanigans.
I wonder if Kurapika and Leorio remember Kalluto at all. Seeing their reaction to him being a spider would be interesting.

There's many I want, but I really want Ging to bump into some of the troupe.

I want to impregnate her so badly

I don't doubt he has a lot planned, but I'm just sure he is FUCKING DONE with this manga, he still has a lot of pride as an artist to rush the ending so he definitely wants to make some good out of the DC arc, but as for the others I suspect he'll either condense them, scrap them or likely fit them or the main ideas into the DC arc.

Ging/Kurapika
Ging/Troupe - especially Chrollo
Pariston/Beyond
Hisoka/4th Prince
Ging/Hisoka - I'd love to see Hisoka just try to start something with Ging and get BTFO

I'm sure he's done with manga in general but he's gonna finish this shit eventually

I can't even think of what he'd do after hxh

post best girl

Do people really believe that all the hiatuses are solely down to back pain? I personally think Togashi just can't be bothered with being a mangaka anymore. Especially since he's set for life.

I am still fucking mad.

Way back when I watched the first Hunter x Hunter series and they introduced Kortopi I thought he was fucking cool. He had a creepy character design and a really cool power.

I literally spent the next 15 fucking years waiting for more information on this guy. He was one of those creepy mysterious characters and I just knew Togashi would have a cool reveal on his past.

And then fucking 15 years later we finally see him again. And what happens? He gets ganked while taking a shit on the crapper.

Damnit! I want my 15 years of waiting back!

Art book money, anime money, boxset money, one shot spin off money. He won't really much shit after HxH.

Old and busted. Here's the new best girl.

When did Ging consider her the strongest?

Fucking this. I need Ging BTFOing the troupe and especially Hisoka. This arc has so many juicy possibilities.

Heard something about the Tokyo Ghoul guy being set to take over the series

Chapter 343

>another puppet girl
I guess Togashi liked Pitou

>Create this awesome setting and world
>refuse to finish it

If he dies, someone else will pick up the series and continue right?

Oh, please God no. That guy is fucking garbage.

I've never read tokyo ghoul, but the guy interviewed togashi and is a huge hxh fan, having spent hours studying costume design and symbolism for the series alone

that says something right?

Meteor City as a concept just makes no sense to me.

Yeah, but I don't trust him. Especially considering the abomination TG has become.

I just want Hisoka being Hisoka.
And more best boy Morel of course.

Why is he such a shit father and human being?

Pariston and Pika.

And of course, his wife's Sailor Moon money.

Because some whore left him a baby to take care of.

No. Togashi is a fan of Tokyo Ghoul and is friends with wthe author, so he let Ishida draw the Hisoka origin story because it's something Togashi thought was neat but wasn't interested in drawing himself. But that was it. He hasn't said anything about letting Ishida take over the series.

>Implying Gon wasn't spawned from a pregnancy stone during the beta testing of G.I.

Between him and his wife Togashi is worth several billion yen. These days he only draws because he enjoys it, not because he gives a shit about money.
