Sadly lowering costs of care in the US would require the government to retract it's deeply rooted tendrils from the healthcare system which will never happen
And the answer is not price controls and forcing everyone to pay 50% of their income so fat niggers can get free healthcare
right.
wouldn't it be better if your healthcare system was tax-funded, like ours?
we have about half the health expenditure per capita, combined with a slightly higher healthcare index
The problem isn't who's paying for it. The problem is the high cost, which comes from the doctor's lobby intentionally constraining the supply the physicians to reduce competition on the provider side.
sadly I believe our country is way too big to have socialized medicine. But of course that won't stop them from trying
It's not about the size.
It's about providers being greedy fucks and lobbying for a shitton of regulations to limit competition.
sure. Extensive pharma lobbying is very problematic in the US.
Surely the system is scalable?

I haven't looked that much into it, but it looks like it works given the size of those countries

Socialism has worked perfectly since forever within the family unit. And it might even work up to the community level, maybe even the city level (very unlikely).
No way it will work across an entire country and not a massive country with unfettered illegal immigration and massive influxes of """refugeees""" like the US
But I guess that depends what you mean by "work". I'm sure it's working perfectly for border hopper Jose, he gets free healthcare and doesn't ever have to pay shit. "Works" great for him.
And going to a single-payer system will make the cost go up even more, because "free shit" always increases demand.
The deductible and copay/coinsurance system that we have is actually lowering cost, since it's keeping demand in check.
Not having health insurance sure sound like a genius move indeed.
good points
to be fair, I think the "Scandinavian model" would have worked perfectly if we just would have closed our borders to sandniggers
>is actually lowering cost
but the healthcare cost per capita is still rising though, right? as seen in what do you think will change it?
Getting rid of immigrants and changing doctor credentialing system to pump out a lot more physicians.
there would be no effective socialized medicine in ANY country if not for the expensive r&d that we, as world leaders, generously subsidize.
Well I could always pay $1000 a month to have insurance with a $10k deductible and then I would probably end up homeless
but at least I had health insurance
Life has never been perfect but some times have been better than others. There was a time in the U.S. (pre Obamacare) that the Canadians would come here and pay for health care, rather than get substandard care or die on a waiting list. To go back to one of those better times I propose we make corporate lobbing a capital offense.
Or just save the fucking money and pay cash for dr visits. Youre not going to get sick and die dude. The insurance scam propaganda "what if" bullshit is fucking gay
They get better standards though
