I like this sneaky tactic they use. They find articles written by other publications and then put them on air, giving full credit to the original publication. If it's a good ratings segment or whatever, most people will be like "dude I saw on CNN last night..." but if it turns out to be like that ABC story, CNN can totally step back and pass the buck back down to the publication they aired on TV. Say something like "we apologize for airing an erroneous article by X group. They have apologized and rescinded it". It's basically just being a shitty company who doesn't need to do any work. You can take credit when it's good and pass blame when it's bad. No journalism required.
