Why was the original Naruto series so much better than Shippuden?

Why was the original Naruto series so much better than Shippuden?

Familiarity breeds contempt.

It wasn't, they're at the same level, nostalgia is fucking with your head.

Because it had actual character development and interesting fights.

Eyehax were limited and were ony used on special occasions instead of being passed around like candy.

Naruto had to work for his respect instead of being some super god child winning everything.

>tfw Neji was right all along

Why do you keep spamming Narutard threads with your shitty mobile phone every hour, Narutard?

Fag

In part 1 a lot of plot points where veiled in mystery which made it interesting (Itachi, Uchiha massacre, Akatsuki members and goals, nine tails, Naruto's parents, 4th Hokage) There was more humor and it was well balanced with the drama. Also, the soundtrack was pretty good.

Naruto was good until the end of the Zabuza saga, then was alright until around the time filler hell happened in the anime and has been on a steady decline into shit until the very end where it became an abomination. Even the hard changed to match this, slow declining in quality over the years.

Somebody hasn't watched the latest episode.

Because Shippuden was eventually ruined by Uchihas, fights got ridiculous, and fate became more important than working hard. Neji must be turning in his grave.
That said the beggining of Shippuden was still good, I have no complains until past Hidan and Kakuzu's arc.

naruto will always be a part of Sup Forums and only colossal faggots like you would believe otherwise

Fuck off narutards

Neji was right but thats just because the writer is a hack that didn't know how to justify their characters having DBZ power level in a ninja setting

Because things were fairly balanced. Shippuden just became "Naruto - path of the chosen one and his equally chosen one edgy friend who doesn't consider him a friend back" and every ninja became a wizard.

It still had a soul

Who is that 'moot' guy?

He created Facebook.

It became less and less about ninjas and more about Jesus reincarnations, wizards, aliens and magic eyeballs.

It all began going downhill after the Chuunin Exams, and finally hit rock bottom after pain and all that "m-muh child of prophecy" bullshit started popping up

nukes got old very quickly

It was fine until Pain arc's ending. Seriously, Pain Arc is where Kishimoto completely lost his mind.

Why does every anime nowadays lead back to aliens?

One Piece is gonna end with it being revealed that the Devil Fruits were created by an ancient alien race.

They still felt like ninjas back then. The moment when Sasuke grew hand wings out of his back was the start of the slippery slope.

It's a handwave sort of thing, usually the sign of a hack writer who wants to tie everything together but can't think of a good way to do it.

>IF you work hard enough you can overcome anything.
t. Naruto

>IT doesn't matter how hard you work. You are born gifted and therefore will succeed.
t. Neji

>Naruto you are the chosen one.
>Boruto you shouldn't rely on something that isn't your own strength.

Neji was right all along.

So... Indiana Jones 4?

Everyone should've stayed dead. It felt like the only reason they came back was because Kakashi was popular.

Crystal Skull is awful.

Because manga authors don't plan for more than the first 20 chapters or so.

It's not their fault. They have no idea whether or not their submissions are going to be serialized. They have a story with some characters in mind, do the best they can, and if it sticks they keep going.

And on the off chance it becomes really successful and publishers want to keep the train going, well, now you have to pull shit out of your ass because you sure as fuck don't know what you're doing. So you make shit up. Delete your original ending because now it's gotta keep going. Add villains. Weird powerups. All that stuff.

Any long running series is inherently set up to fail because manga is a shitty industry. Not really the author's fault. Once a manga slips by its first "boss," everything from that point forward is totally unplanned bullshit.

That's one of the things that's always bugged me about the series since the early day.
>keeps going on and on about effort, hard work beating destiny
>Rock Lee keeps jobbing
>Shikamaru keeps getting cool moments and even when he lose, it's in a way that makes him look good
>Naruto is revealed to be literally destined

Like the whole idea of the MC being the underdog that gets treated like shit and wants to show off their hard work doesn't work in the same narrative where the MC is also the chosen one who is the descendant of [insert famous/powerful person/being here].

He still needed to work hard on getting rasengan, Oodama, Rasenshuriken and Sage mode/Frog Karate. Of course he found a loophole to make it easier but still even if he was destined he still needed to train. Only thing he was given was Fox Backup and Uzumaki Chakra Reserves. Im pissed kishi never utilized uzumaki sealing though. Naruto's Uzumaki genes couldve been a counter to Ameterasu, Susanoo and just the sharingan in general

Neji was right all along.

Yes, but his critical victory moments still hinge on the demon fox. He can work hard all he like, but without the kyuubi hax for final moment power up, he'd just job like Rock Lee.

Not about everything

This everything with that clans history and their sharingan made everything go over the top.

You bastard. ;_;

The Second Hokage was right, Uchiha are scum.

Guy should have been the one to kill Madara.

Sauske should have finished what he started when he went all edge lord and it should have been Rock Lee that put him 6 feet under.

They should have kept the dead people dead and or zombies that couldn't talk

Had they done that, maybe things would have been fine.

Naruto's big moment should have been when he killed pain and that's about it.

The original Naruto was only good through the chunin exam arc. After that it became shit.

>Sauske should have finished what he started when he went all edge lord and it should have been Rock Lee that put him 6 feet under.
Jesus, that's retarded, makes no sense story wise and reeks of self insertion.

>Guy should have been the one to kill Madara.

No. But he should have died though.

>Wake up
>See this
What do?

>some slav is about to rape me
I guess the Russians finally invaded

I think Chuunin exam was great.

because they didn't ruin it with constant filler arcs every 30 or so episodes. Yeah there was "filler hell" but compared to all the filler Shippuden gave us and when, it's not THAT much worse.

also the powerlevels hadn't gotten anywhere close to DBZ-lite yet, so despite ninjas still having flashy magic abilities, it was a lot more grounded.

music and set pieces

Fuck off Narutards.

holy shit

Because it was a story of the unorthodox & loud boy ninja desperatly trying To prove to the world he wasn't the demon fox sealed inside of him at birth.
It was about a boy struggling to get acknowledged by a town that decided to hate him out of fear.
Half-way Through shippuuden he achieved his goal with the entire town basicaly worshipping him, and technically he had a already succeeded before shippuuden happened by making a handfull of friends, it's impossible to make everyone like you after all.
This is why shippuuden feels empty and weak, the core goal of the protagonist had already been reached and we're just riding out some unresolved plot points to finaly get to the end. Plot points that kept going and going while powerlevels became of the charts. No one in their right mind would call anyone who reached the end of the manga a ninja anymore.
The series constantly proving neji right while trying to say hard work trumps skill didn't exactly help. The manga industry ruined naruto, zabuza arc was legit great, the exam was still entertaining and making naruto fail at the end was daring and interesting, not everyone has the guts to "end" a series on such a low note.

Fucking mechs. I enjoyed the early Naruto because fights were actual fights of strategy and outsmarting the other person. Shippuden was all about who has the bigger dick and who lucked out with the rolling of their abilities.

Shipuden is basically Seed Destiny, nothing more to be done with the main character but still need to keep going.

>and making naruto fail at the end was daring
I wouldn't call it daring. Even Goku lost the first two world championships.

I was more talking about the time he failed to get sasuke back at the end of naruto. You know, that thing that happened just before the timeskip and shippuden, not the result of the chuunin exam. That wasn't a low note.
Naruto failing to convince sasuke to come back, culminating in a right between friends, a fight that he lost as well, THAT'S the low note and daring.
There was never anything depressing or sad about goku losing the budokai or naruto failing his exam.

power scale became absurdly retarded

Sure it does, Legend of Zelda does it in every single game

You sure are desperate at keeping your shit thread alive.
