Scanlation thread

What are you working on?
What are you reading/translating/typesetting at the moment?
What are you being a lazy shit and not working on?

Is digital hosting of manga becoming more popular? Translating manga will obviously become a lot easier if so.

You mean editing? you don't bother cleaning them.

As for whether they are more popular or not, i don't know.

what manga is this

Are you talking about ebooks? Because that tends to ruin image quality

I picked up my first new scanlation project in a long time even though I had promised myself I would only translate for money or panda coins from now on. I don't regret it though.

Which one?

Sweaty ping pong girls.

How can I become faster at editing?

use a drawing tablet photoshop

>text directly over drawings
this is not tanoshii at all

What did you think redrawing meant?

What's really not tanoshii is when a manga does that with quiet speech and they do it a lot.

Civilized, western comics have thought and narration bubbles. I have no idea why those yellow devils don't use them.

muh aesthetics

It's pretty tanoshii to read.

Good thing I only translate. Sorry if I triggered any redrawing PTSDs.

So what's the worst manga to redraw? I heard Baki is pretty bad.

Once you've worked on something by Imai Kami, nothing really fazes you anymore.
That one's not even hard to redraw, it's all just gray.

Saint Seiya if you just mean overall difficulty to redraw, Baki if you factor in how hard it is to actually look at the art for that long.

i have several scripts lying around, i just dont have the motivation to edit and typeset them.

That's... I just have the greatest respect for people who do redraws.

Just write the translation INSIDE the kanji.
