Tell me how you like your romance served Sup Forums. A major focus? In the background? Confirmed or subtext? Straight or homo?

The problem with many straight romances is that I usually feel that one of the characters doesn't deserve the other.
Either there it's because one of them is a one dimensional and boring piece of nothing. Or it's because the levels of competency and agency are just too lopsided.
This same thing can also happen in homo stories, but it's much rarer, I find.

I can like anything if it's executed well, but generally I don't like it as a main focus so I tend to go for side characters and subtext. If it's a purely romance oriented series it all hangs on there being minimal MISUNDERSTANDINGS and it not being dragged on for ages.
Tamako LS made me want more good anime romance movies.

Major focus and homosexual.

I don't care as long as it is het.

Major focus,no love triangles,no harem bullshit.
KISS AT THE END

Side plot ala R;N

Full on drama

If I wanted good I'd read a book, anime does over the top drama much better than it does subtext or subtelty

hard to see at first

An excuse to have two complete idiots do funny things and silly faces. I don't care about genders.

As long as I care about the characters, it can be any type of romance. Straight, yaoi or yuri, I don't care. It doesn't even matter whether it's a main focus or not, I only care about characterization. Due to this, I tend to prefer josei when it comes to romance because they usually focus on people. Shounen etc. tend to be bad in this aspect.

I grew up and got too bitter to watch any romance anime.

This is a good opinion

>I love fireworks too
ANYTHING BUT THIS

Between two cute teenage girls who are biologically related

Why is this a question. Just look at Sup Forums's most discussed romance anime in the past like White Album 2 or Amagami SS.

Also, why even bother asking about yaoishit.

I want to rape Mochizo and let Tamako to witness it

I like homo subtext with no hetshit to interfer. Once it becomes confirmed shippers become unbearable, so it's better it stays strongly implied but not explicit. Besides, once a couple is together they immediately become boring.

Figures a fujoshit made this thread.

Fuck off back to tumblr

...

Like Amagami
ignore /u/ and /y/

thank you

I love romance, 75% of the anime I've watched and manga I've read have a romance tag. Mainly prefer drama and no gay shit. Subplot is also nice.

I want to erase my memories of Shirayuki and watch it again.

This guy gets it.

Mochizou is the cutest girl.

No misunderstandings, no cheating drama (usually a misunderstanding as well), constant displays of affection. Shounen-ai/Yaoi is disgusting, but if it's between two cute traps I'm okay with it.

I watched Cross Game a while back and cried my heart out to that shit, ever since then I've been in a romance anime/manga spree. Drama, love triangles, misunderstandings, smut, harem, shoujo, I really don't care, just gimme more of that shit.

I really don't care if it's straight, homo, subtex, confirmed, in the background of a major focus as long as it's well done.

/u/fags are cancer for hating anything that isn't gay.

Major focus with realistic relationships and above all with no implicit/unresolved bullshit.

The romance was the worst part of TLS.

Pic related was the last good romance in anime.

If the genre is romance then of course main focus.
Any other shows either very minor subplot or none at all. Romance attracts cancerous shippingfags and ruins series

>letting your opinion of a show being affected by anything that happened outside of it
Absolutely pleb-tier.

I usually like it in the background but there are exceptions.

Focused on keikaku
