/cg/ Christianity General - God Still Has A Plan For You, Edition

ITT: All pious Christians and those with an interest in the faith are welcome to discuss all aspects of Christianity!

Quick Rundown:

>But user, why would god love me or want anything to do with me? I’ve never been to church and/or I’ve done degenerate and/or truly terrible things in my life!

We can get past that, fellow user! Consider the following:

>Now it happened, as He was dining in Levi’s house, that many tax collectors and sinners also sat together with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many, and they followed Him. And when the scribes and Pharisees saw Him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, they said to His disciples, “How is it that He eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?” When Jesus heard it, He said to them,“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Mark 2 15-17

You see, it is not too late to repent of your sins and seek the love of Jesus in your life. ITT, we come together, and will help each other in any way that we can, so that we too might find inner peace, and a meaningful relationship with Christ!

God bless!

Papists explain this contradiction

For we are all lost, and previously-lost souls here in this fallen world, however if we choose to accept Christ into our lives, we will receive his blessings love.

>Sounds great, user! How should we do this?

Well, if you’re new here, I would start reading the Bible in the book of Matthew, the first book of the New Testament, which is when Christ enters the scene. It is often accepted that the KJV (King James Version) of the bible is the most accurate, however there are other acceptable versions also.

You can buy a KJV for ~$10-$25 on Amazon, or find a PDF for free, online!

Additionally, I always recommend “The Orthodox Way” as it describes the existence of God as we know him - what he is - and what he isn’t. This is an inexpensive, easy to read paperback book which is also available on Amazon!

These two things will get you off to a great start! I assure you that whatever you’ve done in this life, it can be forgiven of you. Christ was sent to us on this earth to pay the ULTIMATE sacrifice for our sins and transgressions so that we may know true happiness and eternal life, and something greater than the emptiness and evil found in this world.

I truly believe that God has a plan for each and every one of you reading this, that he loves you, and is “knocking at the door” to our hearts hoping to receive our acceptance of him into our lives…

This thread is here for the discussion of all aspects of the faith by all Pious Christians and inquirers who are of course always welcome. What’s on your mind tonight, my brethren?

Christ is risen, my friend!

Well, I'm not Catholic (although we do have quite a few friendly catholicanons here who might be willing to help you), but here is what I would say:

Basically, we SHOULD be baptized and live within the community of the Church itself! For Jesus himself started what we think of as the Christian church, saying:

>In Matthew 16:18 Jesus said to Simon Peter, "And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

And the followers of Christ should be a part of what they consider to be the true church (For me, this is the Orthodox Church, your Catholic article of course claims it is the Catholic church), however -

Many people debate if young infants who perished will be allowed into heaven - for they were never baptized nor did they ever consciously accept Christ into their hearts - but, they never really had the conscious ability to - nor did they ever really commit any sin. So, the general consensus here seems to be that yes, our loving, merciful God will allow them into heaven.

The death of someone who never knew the church but whom God viewed favorably for their actions and the aims of their heart - is completely different than someone who chose not to know God and the Church, and who turned his back to him/them.

In the end, it is purely up to God alone who "makes it" and who doesn't. Ya know, my priest sometimes quotes someone who said "And if you do make it into heaven... Expect to see some people there that you weren't expecting - and expect not to see some that you were!"

I hope this helps, user!

can god give me a girlfriend? I've been praying for a girlfriend and a sign but haven't recived either.

Orthodox is the best form of Christianity for the White race...

Am currently a retard agnostic doing an orthodox prayer/fasting experiment. Wish me luck!

Fuck off Yahwahist trash, HAIL ZEUS

>He browses Sup Forums
>Claims to be Christian
You guys should honestly stop LARPing, it's getting out of hand.

You should go and see the rite at your local russian orthodox church. If you like it(you will, its full of peace, love and serenity) you should convert. Also, if you get a russian girl, she will be the ideal wife if you marry her in the orthodox ceremony

Kek this is so fucking true lmao

ZEUS IS THE GREATEST ZEUS IS THE GREATEST ZEUS IS THE GREATEST ZEUS US LORD AND HESIOD IS HIS.PROPHET!

Well, God generally works through people. If you're looking for a wholesome, healthy relationship, and you're ultimately looking for a wife, then based Jesus might very well help you further your efforts.

I cant speak for God of course - but - here are some examples of how he might work through you!

"I wanna get in better shape"
>pray for a successful and profitable for your body workout
>pray for comfort then sore from working out
>if you're anxious about starting to work out, pray that whatever happens on your visits to the gym - things go well (Sometimes I do this for my work - I end up in a lot of situations where I dont know what I'm walking into)

Or perhaps we're talking about social stigmas here. Thats okay too - I was the most socially awkward kid one could meet back in the day, and spent some time doing PUA before I developed an interest in the faith. Its actually how I met my GF whose converting with me.

But thats beside the point. Whatevers standing in the way of you going out and finding someone - I truly believe if you pray about it and work towards your end goal - actively - and you're doing this for the aforementioned reasons - God will help you.

Many believe that he created us in his image in order to have a mutual relationship with us. It is said that one cannot truly be happy, without someone to love.

Yahwahist trash! Yahwah is a false God!
Worship ZEUS!

pic very related

Good luck user!! I'm so happy for you, I'll pray for your success, and that you find what you're seeking!!

ZEUS IS THE TRUE GOD ALL OTHER GODS ARE FALSE!

REPENT, STOP WORSHIPING YAHWAH!!!!

NUUU UUHHH! DIONYSUS IS THE SLAIN AND RISEN LORD! ALL HAIL DIONYSUS!

youtube.com/watch?v=2vLQtAxlark&list=RDQMPUaC9WV3Txg&index=3

OH LORD OF HOSTS, BE WITH US, FOR WE HAVE NONE OTHER HELP IN TIMES OF ADVERSITY BUT THEE

How do you pray? I don't really know how. I don't know what to say

Would you guys happen to know of any supplementary reading material I should absorb myself into?

If you guys actually want to discuss anything, we can travel down that path. What are you hoping to gain through your posts?

I remember that I was an ultra-fedora as a kid, lashing out at the world around me. Broken family, bad times, thats one way that I dealt with it. But do you know what? You're still a child of God, who loves you and wants to see you happy and healthy, and cares for you even as you turn your back upon him.

The door is always open for you all, if/when you're ready to come through it.

Its okay, pic related is an example! Is there something in particular that you're seeking? One could always pray as mentioned in Matthew 6:

But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.[b] 7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

8 “Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. 9 In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
10 Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
13 And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.[c]
14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Praise his holy name!

>Implying I'm atheist.

Critical thinking question - why is it do you think "tax collectors" are grouped with "sinners" so often in Scripture?

Yes, user! I always recommend three things, all of which are available very affordably on Amazon:

1) "The Orthodox Way" By Kallistos Ware (Introduction to the Orthodox Church & Beliefs

2) "The Explination of The Holy Gospel According To Matthew" by Blessed Theophylact, who was an Orthodox scholor around the 600s to the 800s. His writings have only very recently been translated into English, and they are DEEP. They explain the meanings of many things in the book of Matthew which are otherwise quite difficult to grasp, and his book, while it sounds intimidating, is actually quite easy to read/follow
3) "Beginning to Pray" by Anthony Bloom - Explains ways in which we can know God, and, well, what the title says. I'd also recommend this book in particular for If I were to help a friend or a family member with their interest in the Orthodox Faith, these are the three books that I would give them. I hope they will help you!!

CURSED NAZARENE!
IMPOTENT KING!
BEHOLD GREAT SATANAS!

BLESS THE LORD O' MY SOUL, AND FORGET NONE OF HIS BENEFITS

>i was an ultra-fedora
And i was once an ultra christcuck but then i became illuminated with the reality of race and how my people must be preserved at all costs, but I couldn’t be both a christian (egalitarian) and a racialist. One made more sense than the other.

Why does Matthew's first chapter contradict Chronicles when it comes to giving the Davidic line?

Its a good question! I researched this some a little while back, and one commonly accepted reason is, that generally, tax collectors then were basically state sanctioned thieves (inb4 ancap/libertarian responses), who were very undisciplined, and often charged you more than your taxes were, so they could "pay themselves", among other reasons.

Its okay tho, I truly believe that based Jesus will forgive any sin(s) genuinely repented of

I've been thinking about converting to Catholicism.

>tax collectors then were basically state sanctioned thieves
That's because tax collectors ARE state sanctioned thieves! Thank you for playing senpai. But do remember - you cannot be repentant of things you *keep doing*.

youtube.com/watch?v=9SNIuHcg_zA&list=RDQMPUaC9WV3Txg&index=20

BLESSED ARE YOU O' LORD; TEACH ME YOUR STATUTES, THE CHOIR OF THE SAINTS HAS FOUND THE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE AND THE DOOR OF PARADISE; MAY I ALSO FIND THE WAY THROUGH REPENTANCE, I AM THE SHEEP THAT WAS LOST, CALL ME UP TO YOU O SAVIOR AND SAVE ME

Its your choice, user. They call it free will for a reason.

Where exactly does this contradiction take place? Often what is said in one part of the bible is in regards to a specific situation or circumstance, and seems contradictory to what was said in/for another situation at another place and time.

You should probably start with City of God and Confessions. There are a few things I don't necessarily find appealing about Augustine but City of God is a pretty good historical text and useful if you find yourself in an argument with a pagan.

Matthew chapter 1, verses 6-12 and then verse 17, declaring 14 (except giving 15 names) between David and Jeconiah. You look at the Davidic line given in 1 Chronicles 3 and you have several names that Matthew omitted for whatever reason, possibly because it shoots down his "14 generations" numerology.

If you feel called to it, user. IMHO all pious Christians are honorable, but I'm a little biased towards Orthodoxy, for we too have a rich history and no pope.

But whatever you do, I sincerely hope that it benefits you, and brings you closer to the Lord

Sometimes I feel racialist too. I must say that when I fill myself with hate of anything, I feel less loving and grateful. But remember, we are the result of the sons of Noah and the spread of the nations. Genesis 10. And like most families, we sometimes don’t get along with one another, or we get along with one half but not the other, etc. Friendo, I don’t think there are different sections in heaven for white Christians and black Christians and yellow Christians. We are one blood, one body in the Body of Christ. Yes we are different. But we are also the same.

Is it really? I've bought that book, but havent started reading it yet, unfortunately. Did you enjoy it?

Ah, a genealogy question! Honestly, unfortunately theres not much I can do there for you, I'm just a layman myself and no expert on any of the bible's genealogies. My apologies for that, I hope you find what you're looking for!

Catholicism cam, the pope is a devil. Join orthodoxy

Your post is precisely why christianity must be annihilated. It is the destruction of the white race.

I dont know, one must consider Revelation 7:

A Multitude from the Great Tribulation
9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” 11 All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:

“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever.
Amen.”
13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?”

14 And I said to him, “Sir,[b] you know.”

So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. 16 They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; 17 for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters.[c] And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

Which clearly states that there will be people of different races, languages, etc, taken at the end of the earth.

Heres how I see it, user. God made the races on this planet, where everyone had their own place, their own sealed cultures, etc, where they stayed except in very limited circumstances (traveling, etc). We were meant to be with people of our own type, which is one reason why the ((((((immigrant)))))) communities are just that, communities - instead of assimilating with the population at large.

What denomination closer follows the teachings of Jesus Christ?

>one must consider Revelation
Revelation has no bearing on how a Christian is to live their life. Whether the end of the world is tomorrow or thousands of years from now, how you're supposed to behave is absolutely unchanged.

Yes, it is pretty interesting. However, you should probably preface it with Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics and other works of his.

I feel that the Christian is in no wrong place for wanting to preserve the cultures and existence of Nations, as given to us by God to among other things, separate us from the animals.

Personally I'm extremely anti-immigration, anti-replacement, etc.

I dont hate these people. I just dont want them here. Especially when(((((((((((they)))))))))))) think bringing them here is a good idea, its their final plan to drown out white Christianity.

Since I've opened a can of worms here, allow me to dump the following Galatians redpill which people often try to take verses from out of context to convince others that Christians are various types of bluepilled. Dumping:

ITT: All pious Christians and those with an interest in the faith are welcome to discuss all aspects of Christianity!
Today I wanted to address something I've seen in many of the previous /cg/ threads as I'm sure you likely have also - that is; when people spam a handful of verses taken out of context, meant to convince Christianons and those lurking that, normally at least - God is a passive entity who favors open borders, ((((((((((((equality)))))))))))) as it is portrayed in ((((((((((((((((((((popular culture)))))))))))))))))))), and all sorts of general bluepilled nonsense.
Aside from the point that God created nations and endowed man with the power and ability and drive to create nations, and identities for the races which he hath formed, and even stated to us that Nations and by extension nationality and national identity will exist even up until the end of the world, when in the book of Revelation it is said that
>"After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands..."
Therefore the concept of a Nation, and a nation as we know it - with its own language, identity, etc. Will be - and is meant to be - with us until the end of time.
Additionally, the most commonly misquoted verse that these individuals spread is that of Galatians 3:28 which partially reads:
>There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female
Now, consider the entire passage from which this is ((((((((((mistakenly)))))))))))) separated from, when (((they))) misquote it, Galatians 23-28 as follows:

>muh free will
It doesnt make much sense when you christians harp on about freewill when in the next breath you espouse that God/Jesus/whoever is omniscient. If God knows all how the hell can you make a decision God doesn’t know you’ll already make? It seems to me that if you christians are correct in your faith then “freewill” is simply an illusion.
>See Romans Chapter 9

>23 Before the coming of this faith,[j] we were held in custody under the law, locked up until the faith that was to come would be revealed.

>24 So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith.

>25 Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.

>26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith,

>27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

>28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and
female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

As you can see, this is speaking to a non-physical, spiritual identity, stating that we can all receive the Love and Salvation of our Lord Jesus Christ.

To argue that, as they would - that the meaning of this passage is as they acclaim - is to argue against the existence of women here in the physical realm.

Its quite simple really. God has a plan for your life - for all of our lives, which we generally believe is more of a blueprint than an exact "user will order a #6 with large Dr. Pepper and Onion Rings on this day, at 12:13".

It is up to you, if you wanted to follow God and have his plan for you revealed in due time. And to follow it.

You could say "I will not have anything to do with this, I will be my own god, etc, etc, etc"

Or, you could accept Christ into your heart, pray for his guidance, and ultimately hope to inherit eternal life.

It's simple - you make all decisions that are possible, and thus God knowing all of them means absolutely nothing toward the proposition that you're free because you can and do choose everything possible, which is a state of affairs in which you can't possibly be *MORE* free.
Modal realism bitch.

You’re giving me YOUR personal interpretation but the way Paul puts it in Romans 9 seems to make it quite clear. God loves some and destroys others, yet Paul thinks those who are destined for torment should still give thanks to God. Lmfao you can’t make this shit up, pure insanity.

>before time God knew exactly what would happen
>christfag on 4chinz thinks you can still make your own choices
>doesnt realize that BEFORE TIME God already knew what would happen
>still claims there is freewill and it isnt just an illusion

wew lad

Doesn't matter what God knows if you can and do anything and everything you possibly can, because you can't possibly be more free than being able to make (and realizing) every single choice you ever could.
Suck my massive philosopher's cock you dumb bitch.

Lol nothing but word salad you fucking incel. Btw might wanna watch how you talk faggot, Ephesians 4:29 says you’re sinning :^)

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

God does not generally want to "destroy" anyone, for while these things have happened throughout history, they are typically the exception rather than the rule.

For God so wanted the souls of men to be saved that he sent his only begotten son to die for our sins, so that we may know everlasting life.

But aside from that. Why are you here if you have nothing but contempt and disdain for our faith?

>I can't understand what he's saying so it's wrong
Kill yourself brainlet. What's unwholesome talk is subjective and Ephesians is a Pauline book and Paul is an idiot most of the time.

I’m here because i dont want any anons lurking this thread to buy your bullshit hook, line and sinker. I know im no great debater but atleast they can see an opposing argument.
>inb4 athiest neckbeard
Im not an atheist.

"Do you need anything?"

"We only need God's mercy"

From a conversation in this video about inspiring Hermits:

youtube.com/watch?time_continue=94&v=ZqEDhKKPl-o

>claims to be a christian
>calls the apostle Paul an idiot
Fucking kek

Hey friend so have you been justified by faith in Jesus Christ? When will you believe? Jesus loves you and wants none to perish

>apostle
Paul never met Christ in the flesh. Not even once. If he's an apostle, he's an apostle of Christ in the exact same sense as every other Christian who has ever lived
Pauline morons gonna moron.

UNLESS YOU ARE BORN AGAIN, YOU CANNOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Repent and humble yourself before the Lord, lest ye be cast into torment where people weep and gnash their teeth.

What do you worship?

If thats how you view 2,000+ Years of the Church, and many people reborn with God's love, instead of the hedonistic, superficial material emptiness of this world in their hearts, thats up to you.

I would hope that one day you might answer Christ knocking at the door of your heart, and always know that you're welcome here.

>“The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord.”
Psalm 14:2-4 KJV

Repent all who don't believe

>Tfw genuinely repented of all previous sins for the first time when I was ~22 and accepted Christ into my life
>Tfw felt warm sensation all throughout my chest
>Tfw cried like a baby for the first time in my adult life
>Tfw fell asleep feeling the love of Christ and knowing that God is real

10/10 would accept Jesus as my savior and be reborn as a Christian again

>“Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the Lord, the first, and with the last; I am he.”
Isaiah 41:4 KJV

>“And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;”
Revelation 2:8 KJV

Jesus Christ is the Lord God

>“The Lord shall reign for ever and ever.”
Exodus 15:18 KJV

This isn't fucking politics, please stop the christard LARP spam.

I don’t particularly worship anything or anyone. I do hold natural law i.e: survival of the fittest, only the strong survive etc as the highest form we currently know, being that no one can go against it, the natural order of things always wins. Some say this force is itself God, idk i dont think we hold enough knowledge to say for sure. In this sense i consider myself agnostic.

Maybe there is a higher being, but no one (currently) actually KNOWS for sure.

This is garbage SJW shilling.

>survival of the fittest
So when Tyrone rapes your mother and dismembers you, you have no moral objection to that.
Neat.

Iktf

>In4uehCL
"God" is literally impossible to prove. Also, do you genuinely believe the story of Jesus Christ or do you just follow for the word written in the bible?

>"God" is literally impossible to prove
So is the validity of your sensory experience, yet you don't constantly bitch about that.

Goes for you also, user.

Zeus is fake as fuck just like all the other pagan gods, who were quite literally made up to explain nature around them. BEGOME ORDODOGS
t. Greek

Apply it how you will but i would apply it in the sense of racialism. We as whites must fight for the survival of our race, and any philosophy that speaks against this is itself against nature, i.e: christianity

How's 8th grade going? I think this website is 18 and over btw

Im not bitching dude I just really want to understand. I used to believe but it seems less and less plausible that God exists (especially a Abrahamic one) when im confronted with the facts of the universe.

>Apply it how you will
No that's just a necessary consequence of the belief you just espoused. I don't need to apply anything - it's your belief.

sorry

Christianity is the religion of Europe, which extends to the Whites

Don't pray for results. Pray for the strength to do the difficult labors that are required to get those results.

#NotAllChristians

>I just really want to understand
Then apply the same skepticism toward the proposition of God that you do toward the proposition that you're actually sitting in front of a computer monitor right now, because they're equally faith-based from an epistemological standpoint.

Just like you believe in a magic jew who rose from the dead. Yet my belief can be backed by real world experience whereas people dying, being buried 3 days and rising from the dead cannot be proven or supported by reality.

Just like you believe there's nothing inherently wrong with Tyrone raping your mother and tortuously murdering you.

>people dying, being buried 3 days and rising from the dead cannot be proven or supported by reality.
Not everyone is the Son of God, you ignoramus

>not an argument

...

I want to be religious but it's so hard. The Genesis is obviously a myth. so if it's a myth, the apple is also a myth, and then is the original sin, too?
