Youjo Senki - Tanya the Evil

>no defense in depth
>no attempt to flank the enemy
>no allies
>only one mobile force having to run around and fight five major campaigns in rapid succession
>instantly fucked if defenses break down on any one of five different fronts while your main force is elsewhere
this is a pretty terrible plan in all honest. Not going to win without liberally applying WMDs.

aren't there like another 2 threads already?

Also. Why the fuck are they spending so much resources defending in Sweden? They are no fucking threat. You shouldn't need a mobile defense force to defend against an army that needs to fucking land on shore. Just put barbed wire up and a token force and get some of the other fronts sorted out. Its fucking sweden.

Retarded tactics for a retarded show. What did you expect? And it will work!

>>no allies
Who should they ally with?

How the fuck did they get into this war if they arent allied with Austria-Hungry?

>Who should they ally with?
The Ottoman Empire
The Austro-Hungarian Empire
Hell, the fucking Soviet Union if they really have to. Just to avoid having to fight a war on five fronts completely alone.

>Plan 315
The other 314 plans must have been pretty terrible if this is what they went with.

It's Swedish and Norwegian nazis that started the war in the first place

Are you blind?
The empire is already a fusion of Germany with Austria Hungary

How hard can it be to defend against an attack from Norway and Sweden when you are Germany and have control of Denmark? Just mine the fuck out of the straits, and plant all your troops right on top of the crossing at Copenhagen.

That makes it even worse! Sweden and Norway attacking Germany/Austria-Hungry is fucking ridiculous. And Germany even has denmark. What a joke series.

I want to learn nip.

youtube.com/watch?v=_vqoDl9mkWM

Judging by the OP post the only people they can ally with close by are Italy, these germans must mean to win.

Sweden are the Nazis apparently so it can't be too diffficult considering that Sweden/Norway can't field the troops necessary to invade Germany/Austria due to geography.

so, like how it happen in WWI?

it's embarrassing that the character models fit that series far, far better then the actual series

No.

Don't invade Rusia and try to get Ukraine's support. That should free up the eastern front.

>It will work
Aren't they fucked because of this shitty tactic to begin with? That's one of the reason why Tanya keeps getting into shitty battlefield over and over to begin with right? Also I heard spoilers that the WN ends with them actually losing the war

What is wrong with nato symbols?

>GrossGermanium
Perfect

they did secured a non aggression pact with the commie, and allied with Itali, the show havent gotten to that part yet, it's just user jumping ahead and calling everything stupid

>this is a pretty terrible plan in all honest
It's supposed to show how desperate the situation of not-Germany is. They're at war with everyone (though notice that Yuguslavia is also part of their empire and Italy is neutral) and need to defend on all fronts with most likely a very limited number of men. Their witch force could probably cause a breakthrough anywhere, at the cost of defenses collapsing elsewhere. Under the assumption that manpower and supplies are limited, this is the best they can do (especially if we assume witches travel at extremely high speed).

>Why the fuck are they spending so much resources defending in Sweden?
Let's say Sweden manages to force a breakthrough. What reason would Britain, France and Russia have to not send marines there to exploit this breach in the German line?

They make perfect sense once you get the logic behind it.
That symbol you posted is cavalry, because Napoleonic cavalry wore a single bandolier
An "X" means it's infantry, because Napoleonic infantry carried double bandoliers.
An oval is a tank, as the oval is supposed to be a simplified drawing of the wheels of a tank
An oval with a thin line to the left is a medum tank.
An oval with a thick line to the left is a heavy tank.
An oval with an X crossing it out is mechanized infantry.

Your own troops are blue and the enemy troops are red (this is the French system, the British only adopted it after WW1 (prior to it they had their own troops as red and the enemy as blue, you can understand this is very confusing if the French and British are cooperating)).

If they can't stop an invasion from sweden while they own denmark, they are going to lose anyway. Troops should be concentrated on areas without big ass mountains to defend your also like on the polish border instead of spread out to a lot of easily defensible positions. This anime is retarded.

>If they can't stop an invasion from sweden while they own denmark, they are going to lose anyway.
Exactly, hence them dedicating troops to the defense of Denmark. Most likely significantly less than in the West or East, but still a neccessary force.

>Troops should be concentrated on areas without big ass mountains to defend your also like on the polish border instead of spread out to a lot of easily defensible positions.
You do realize they're surrounded by enemies, with the border to the South being the only secure one, right? Tell me, where can they afford to pull back troops to enforce other lines? The entire point is that they can't. The main attack force of witches is the only force they can afford to move around, and even then if they dedicate those to one front they run the risk of letting another collapse.

Though personally I'd focus the entire witch force on breaking through to France, quickly secure a favorable peace with them and try to redeploy al the freed up troops to other fronts. Then again, that's probably what they've been trying to do for years, with as much effectivity as the Von Schlieffenplan in WW1

Mussen be grosser

>they did secured a non aggression pact with the commie,
They'll follow it this time, right?

>The Soviet Union

...

I didn't watch it
are there Poles?

>poles
No, but two main characters are slavs - Degurachev(a) and Serebryakov(a)

Its 1924, the monarchy would have lost power even without WW1.

>Nobody flying has SMGs
Why the fuck? Mp18 should have been invented already.

>inb4 tech didnt advance due to lack of war
They have tanks, fucking tanks.

Writing is abyssmal and full of holes like OPs mother

Visha is Ruskie whos family fled the commies and Tanya is a Kraut soldier rape baby

every fucking time

The point is on their "strategic maps" they look like they are dedicating the same troops to France and Denmark and Poland and Balkans. Which is absolute madness. The witch plan itself is dumb. They should be focusing on picking a front and breaking through until they are in a good position to hold so they can move troops around again. Also how the fuck is the Soviet Union a thing? I thought this was WW1? Communism hasn't taken hold of Europe because the Great Depression caused in part by WW1 hasn't happened.

>trying to make sense of awful military plans in a shounen and/or seinen
never going to work out. plus you might have noticed, but its not a historical documentary. no need to autistically focus in on the silly stuff

even the military strategy dramas have absolutely retarded concepts. why hold this to any standard?

She is so ugly.

Russia is always in state of Great Depression.

keked

The bolsheviks were fighting the civil war in Russia well before the Great Depression happened and communism was a thing since the early 1900s/late 1800s

This show has worse war mechanics than Victoria 2.

How would you win this war, Sup Forums?

How would you lose this war? You're fighting a land war against Sweden apparently.

This IP is a fucking crime against good taste and you're retarded for even thinking about it.

>The point is on their "strategic maps" they look like they are dedicating the same troops to France and Denmark and Poland and Balkans
Doubtful, I presume it has more to do with the limitations of the map. Let's say that for example they're dedicating 100 times the troops to the Rhine front than to the Scandinavian front. Can you even begin to imagine how the map would look? If we maintain the same scale we have right now, there'd be too many 'blocks' on the map to see anything. If we scale them down, we get an autismal map. The intention of the map is clear: a simplified depiction of the situation, it's supposed to clearly and quickly show that the German troops are spread thin. This would only be unclear to someone with severe autism.

>Also how the fuck is the Soviet Union a thing?
The Russian Revolution happened in 1917. In our history Lenin instantly argued for peace with Germany... but this entire show is alternate history. Do you know what that word means? It's basically the "what if" of history, one of those what-ifs being "what if the Soviet Union kept on fighting?".

Löschen Sie dies!

Doesn't explain why the witches are bothering with Denmark or the Balkans unless Germany-Austria-Hungry is run by retards.

Logistical fuck ups as a result of overcomitting in Sweden because the Germans didn't think the French would join in

Rough Summary of Youjo Senki's war progress, might not be 100% accurate

>notSweden/notNorway attack notGermany >notGermany see this as an act of aggression from notSweden/notNorway and declared war
>notFrance declared war notGermany and attacked which caught notGermany by surprise but eventually manage to stabilize the Rhine front
>2 years of stalemate between the battle of notFrance and notSweden/notNorway, notSerbia invades notGermany but was immediately crushed
>notGermany decides it's time to break the stalemate between the2 enemies, they start with notSweden/notNorway
>notGermany easily crush notSweden/notNorway however the enemy sacrifices their forces long enough for their government to escape safely before the country fell to notGermany
>notGermany then focus their attention on notFrance,
>notFrance was easily defeated, notUK offered refuge for notFrance to escape
>due to notGermany's internal politics getting the the way they could not stop notFrance army safely escape to notUK, war continues to drag on because of this
>notUS, while not fully committed is sending volunteers to help notUK against not Germany

How long has this war been going on? Germany had some of the best land unit transportation in the world. Also how does this alt history work without Belgium to invade?

This doesn't make much sense. Its a weird combination of WW1 and WW2. Starting with the fact that Norway/Sweden is somehow a giant military power in the modern era. And ending with France being able to defend against Germany to stalemate for 2 years and then being easily crushed. Its like someone took soundbites from movies and didn't think about why they happened.

It started because Sweden elected a populist leader that decided that brinkmanship in Denmark by making a show of sending an ultimatum to Germany while your military blatantly marching in the disputed territores in Denmark and planting your flag there before heading back home was a good idea. Until the Germans interpreted this as an act of war, the ultimatum certainly didn't help because the Swedes apparently don't understand what an ultimatum indicates.

Germany decided to abandon the plan in the OP in favour of committing enough troops in Sweden to crush them an resolve their borders once and for all. France joins in the plan catching Germany by surprise and logistical nightmares ensue because High Command mainly relied on Plan 315 which is in OP's post which they abandoned to finish off Sweden

If it was Norway/Sweden/Denmark maybe I could buy it. Be real easy to explain to considering the union.

*France joins in on the fun
Fuck I can't type today

>Starting with the fact that Norway/Sweden is somehow a giant military power in the modern era
They're not, they were completely destroyed once Germany comitted.
Hell, their politicians weren't even expecting that the war will occur.
>And ending with France being able to defend against Germany to stalemate for 2 years and then being easily crushed
Their military HQ was nuked by Tanya, causing the entire chain of command to collapse.

>disputed territories of denmark
Fucking nips. Denmark used to goddamn own Sweden.

I don't understand how Russia/Romania/Italy/UK got involved in this. Were Germany-Austria-Hungry just incompetent diplomats?

Pretty much.
Tanya theorised that the uninvolved Great Powers ideally want both Germany and France to bleed eachother because if any of the sides won an overwhelming victory, it would lead into a continental hegemon which the Brits clearly don't want.

>mechanics

Well thats just what the Brits do and have been doing for centuries. They're bastards. The problem with combining Austria-Hungry and Germany is the chain of alliances that would cause a world war no longer make sense if Germany didn't just go "its time to take over the world with my facist friends".

The first turning point of the war is that Tanya have formed her Elite Mage Company by the end of the two year stalemate on the north and west. When Tanya and her company easily nuked the southeast invaders it's time.

After seeing the results in the southeast border, the next logical step is to either send Tanya's unit to either North or West and nuke them

Oh well if you just give Germany nukes who cares anymore.

CBT Doujins when?

Manga Tanya is so cute

It can still potentially develop into a Great War as things escalate and more neighbours join in

What escalation? Germany attack Sweden who was allied to everyone and their mother. This is no powderkeg Europe.

>due to notGermany's internal politics getting the the way they could not stop notFrance army safely escape to notUK, war continues to drag on because of this
What army would leave it's own country while being invaded? Most soldiers were conscripts that would never leave behind their family and homecountry

>Lets have one main force fight on a rotating basis on 5 fronts!

The fuck, why? This is beyond retarded. Even a grade schooler can tell you what a shitty idea that is. This is triggering my EU4 autism.

>People complaining about Sweden

Sweden didnt gain a great power status, nobody is claiming that. However, they did not lose it while waging war with Russia albeit they have lost Finland.

Yes,Sweden was a world power once, not notorious enough that americans would anything about it though.

Imagine being the HRE and attacking the Scandanavian-French-Russian-Balkan-British alliance with Italy to back you up. Balls to the wall man.

Sweden should be owned by Denmark.

That assumes your council allows you to fight a war
Which already makes the current Kaiser a genius diplomat

Shut up, hat

At least you'll get gifted magical nukes that no one else has to make up for your fuck ups.

I do not approve of that first one.

t EU4 player

Maybe Denmark shouldnt have gotten fucked by the swedish in 16th century and eviscerated during Napoleon wars

Why is Denmark disputed territory?

Just watched the first episode. Anyone else get excited and jump up at the end when she smiled and the chanting kicked in right at the end?

I feel like simulating this now.

Remember to give yourself Denmark.

I'm more disappointed that the praising to god the not kawaii uguu at all

Sweden sounds like a slut

Imperial Russia you mean. Also there is no fucking Austria-Hungaria, the Empire is the fucking HRE with Austria and all the way to Yugoslavia under it, not Prussian Germany.

I want mapgame nerds to fucking leave.

Where are the Ottomans? Did they agree to Germanys "attack literally everyone in Europe with Italy" strategy? Shouldn't they be eating the balkans?

Wasn't the German reason for allying with the Ottomans that the Sultan was supposed to call for Jihad against the French and British in their colonies?

The manga is superior anyway

That brings up a point. Who owns the netherlands belgium and danish colonies? Is germany a colonial power? It really should be given how much territory in mainland europe it has. Is colonial fighting ever even brought up?

Germany never had much of a colonial presence partly because Bismarck hated Colonies as massive money sinks

SWEDEN, YES

Horrible version. Who the fuck is responsible for that QUALITY?

That Demon-child trait finally paid off

That's a recording which explains why the panels with Tanya look a bit different

Will Germany win this time?

Can you rephrase that in English?

Also, the Ottomans aren't really left with any choice but to join in once their navy attacked the Russians without permission.
