People eat up romance drama like hot cakes. Not saying its good writing, but it makes sense from a realistic standpoint. Mary is made out to be very beautiful. She also frequents bars due to "muh drama" from her old team. After Moguzo dies, her drama is renewed and she heavily drinks again. She got taken advantage of and has always been mentally weak so, shit was bound to happen.

In the middle of the night, Mary meets this guy at the bar. She is plastered and refuses his advances. She leaves the bar but gets lost on her way home, the guy follows her. She trips and he saves her from falling. She refuses his advances again but she can't resist because her staff is missing and she is plastered as fuck. The most she can do is push his hand away as tries to feel her up.

She hits him and tries to run away, but she is plastered and he grabs her. He pulls her into a nearby abandoned alley and really starts groping her, she fights and throws in a good kick, punch and bites his arm but, it only pisses him off. He hits her and she loses consciousness for a few seconds.

In a daze, she contemplates whether she deserves this because she let another team member die. She can barely resist anymore as her arms are pinned down and the guy unzips his pants and pulls out his member. She feels something about to pierce her and is deeply disgusted, but then a voice is heard (new tank) and he throws the bar guy off her and gets a good punch in. The bar guy runs away and that is how the new tank and Mary meet each other.

I might have missed a few more details because its been a few months but that is generally what happened. I could post the scene although it would be a few pages.

At some point during a mission, Mary and Ranta get captured by a group of bandits led by an exceptionally good fighter Boss guy. Mary is pretty much numb and out of it, so Ranta does all the talking and manages to convince them not to rape her like they were planning to by volunteering to join them as a fighter. Boss guy thinks Ranta's got style and agrees to the deal. Later, Ranta manages to get Mary loose and she gets found by Haru, whom she tells that Ranta's betrayed them and joined the other team, omitting that he saved her from the rapetrain that had been coming for her. Haru goes to the camp and issues a challenge, and Boss guy tells Ranta to fight him. Ranta, thinking Haru's here to bust him out, goes into the fight calling out all his moves, making it easy for Haru to dodge or block them. Then, right before the perfect moment for the both of them to make their escape, Haru knifes Ranta in the back and abandons him there, calling him a traitor and that he knew what Ranta "did to Mary".

At any rate, instead of letting Ranta die, Boss guy gets him healed up and starts training him up, so Ranta's now a significantly better fighter and Death Knight than what he was before being captured, and he's starting to look towards leaving this bandit gang and getting some revenge, this time without calling out his attacks in advance and with a mind to murder a certain priest for her treachery after he saved her. I think that's where the most recent translation ended.

Several reasons, one of which is religion. Ranta's deity Lord Skullhell is the direct opposition of the god of healers that Mary's a priestess of, so there's a duty angle there if they wanted to play that card despite there being a treaty that forbids open religious warfare among party members that all the class guilds signed. Plus, as is evident, Ranta makes it very hard to like him if you're not already inclined to like people like him, so she just doesn't fucking like him or want him around. She can't murder him herself, but she's not above using circumstances to do it for her and this would have gotten it done without causing friction in the party like if he had been wounded in a battle and she'd just refused to heal him and caused a riot. I'm sure we'll get a lengthy monologue as to why if that conversation ever happens.
