I first watched the english dub of this when I was younger, I want to watch it again since they're going to probably ruin it with a 2nd season soon, I know Sup Forums usually prefers subs but as I remember the voice acting in this wasn't bad and most of the humor was vulgar and topical so its not easy to get lost in translation.
Or am I just nostalgia-fagging?

Yeah but I wanna watch it anyway. Its a short anime as I remember so it couldn't hurt. It couldn't have aged as bad as DBZ Season 1.

Go for the nostalgia op, you won't regret it I promise. The flcl dub is very good, one of the best, and Kari Wahlgren is one of the best in the biz.

Oh come on now, Dubbed anime aren't universally bad nor is Subbed anime universally better. There are exceptions where the acting in the original is not as good as the Dub even if some jokes are changed.

Hell the first FLCL was only mediocre at best and worked because it was a fast pace buck ass naked run through the rain while stoned kind of deal.
The slow and thoughtful moments were the absolute weakest part of that thing and showed how horribly flimsy it really was.
The TWO SEASON 24 EP FLCL thing is going to be mostly just long stretches of the worst aspect of the series.
Know the whole saying "brevity is the essence of wit"? Yeah...brevity is the strength of FLCL.

Don't rewatch it. You'll end up not liking it as much as you remembered it. It's for this reason I never rewatch anything.

I'll get a lot of shit for this, but I actually can't watch the sub after the dub. Everything just kinda fits well in the dub
The Last Dinosaur is the best song in the whole show.
Speaking of which this one if one of them but I forget the full title, something high school something and Bobobo both have dubs that are better than the original.
bobobo works because the humor is mixed with many wester references and if I remember has basically a script full of the VA's add libbing or it sure feels like it
That's actually the case for a lot of people. Whichever they see/hear first they prefer (cases of terrible dubs excluded) most people see/hear subs first because dubs come after so hearing English actors is weird it's the same the other way to. Example most people prefer Dragonball/ Z dub because they saw the dub on TV first. Either or doesn't bother me.
