Why have people forgotten about the masterpiece katanagatari
Why have people forgotten about the masterpiece katanagatari
Because it wasn't actually that good
it was retarded monster of the week with a shitty ending
I actually just started watching it the other day.
Did the episodes have to be 50 minutes long? This things a chore to watch.
its fucking worth it man.
No other anime has character building like katanagatari
best theme too
What if you don't like the characters being built?
I liked everything about it except 40 straight minutes of WORDSWORDSWORDS
It was like a drill to my brain and Vicodin at the same time.
Monogatari but not as good.
then go watch your baby anime like naruto and re-zero
But it is one of the few anime from 2010 that still gets mentioned by Sup Forums.
I don't like either
it never gets mentioned on Sup Forums.
I only stumbled across it from an anime thread on /wsg/
I don't cry against east every fucking day
Get on my level OP
6' vs 5'11"
But seriously, these proportions don't look right.
expecting a sword to have the proportions of a man
I still haven't finished this show.
Started it years ago and got like through to episode 7 or 8
Tried restarting it but couldn't
cry against east
I cant tell if Im too drunk or your just retarded
its a masterpiece
Because it is shit
Do I watch it before or after Owarimonogatari?
But re0 has character building.
Katanagatari was fucking great. There are threads every now and then, and people with shit taste will still post the same old shit like "muh words" and complaining about the fights as if they went in expecting their usual garbage shounen.
You should watch it before Kabukimonogatari so you know how much Nisio likes to fuck with his audience.
It's an intense scene but that's it's cheap and watered down by the length of the episodes only thing good about the show is Taku Iwasaki
You're better off watching Bleach or Inuyasha it's the same thing kid
Only worth watching for the godlike art. Dialogue and "story" got tiresome after a few episodes.
I stopped watching it after that episode where he duels that woman. It was around episode 4 or 5, not sure.
I mean it wasn't bad but I agree with the user that said it felt like a real chore watching it, which i feel should never happen if you're trying to watch something for entertainment.
It's definitely not the type of show you can binge watch, which is what I tried to do. I'll probably never finish watching it, but who knows maybe I'll get bored some day.
In general I think it was pretty eh with a few memorable moments. I always just like the last episode, where he goes ham on an entire cast of nobodies. Other then that, it's really not that great.
Art is cool, though.
Oh come on, you're overpraising it way too much.
Everyone Failed: The Show
Only ep I liked was the priestess. The ninjas were fucked up.... Pengin....
Everyone lost except the princess
Final episode Shichika is one of the most satisfying characters to watch that I've ever found. I've never seen someone turn up to 11 like he did. A true hallmark of a main character.
I thought she failed as well. Everyone was supposed to die. Including her.
FUCK why did he have to die?
But Hitei won.
I agree. I don't think I've seen boss runs like that in anime, ever.
That one girl who got the useless one though.
try throwing it
Shit show, dropped after Neesan got killed
It really isn't anything special. It has a distinct visual style that looks good, and it has some decent action scenes. Everything else ranges from mediocre to bad.
Most of its praise around here seems to come from people who confuse characters who use twice as many words with characters who have twice as much to say.
i thought it was good. Great fight animation minus one episode or so.
It's long for sure and there is a ton of talking but I thought it was bretty good.
7/10 plus togame a qt
Are there any other shows like katanagatari?
Yeah check out boku no pico.
In the end a new Shogun immediately came into power making her long ass plan worthless. Everyone in that show, besides the Kendo girl I guess, failed.
It basically just highlights how much better Shaft handled Nisio's WORDSWORDS. In Katanagatari when characters are talking it's just a wide shot of them sitting in a room and talking. In Monogatari series when characters are talking there's a look into a theory of relativity, or Coke commercial, or soft porn playing on the screen.
So yeah. Alright story, terrible adaptation.
Implying the biggest complaint about Re:Zero isn't the non stop words.
Because the ending ruined it.
The first two episodes are by far the worst. Stick with it.
non stop words
The ADHD really is getting worse everyday.
I have not and will never watch it because I heard Togame dies
ITT: People with ADHD complaining about WORDSWORDSWORDS
Where are my 20 minutes of non-stop action, am I right Sup Forums?
I'm still mad about how terrible that episode was, especially after how good the other episode about her was.
ITT: People making strawman arguments so they can feel superior
Fixed that for you.
I only watched the first two episodes, so far the premise is pretty generic (A cute girl meets a wild boy and they go on a quest to collect mythological macguffins! This is totally breaking new ground here), most of the dialogue was redundant exposition, the main characters are bland as fuck (the show even points this out several times), and it suffers from the same "fight for 5 seconds then talk about fighting for 5 minutes" bullshit you see in most shounenshit anime. It felt like I was watching the anime equivalent of the Phantom Menace. When does the show start picking up?
I certainly hope so, you just gave me a reason to continue watching.
The next episode. See
Fuck Nisio's character development.
muh logical fallacy
Try harder, please.
Sup Forums suddenly hates katanagatari
The Sup Forums you knew before and the Sup Forums we have now are two very different things.
What's with her eye? Did they ever explain that?
But they haven't.
Also, I felt that the ending was "refreshing" and non-cliche
Togame worst girl tho
hurr 50 mins is so long
Why do people have such short attention spans? Are you even capable of reading a book?
The problem is that they don't do anything more with their long episodes than other series do with short ones.
Yes. Last episode.
She's a lying snake
