That's probably not the voynich manuscript text, just something typed in the font that emulates it. If we map each character to the key they must've pressed to get it, it could probably be deciphered easily.

If you have an Sup Forums image for that very specific purpose feel free to post it. Stop trying to distract from the fact that you were too autistic to get a joke.

Interesting, this text definitely ISN'T just lifted from the VM. VM doesn't use periods and the letter frequency seems off, way too many H characters. is probably correct, this might be decipherable if someone wants to do the work. You'd have to transcribe all the visible text and do a letter frequency analysis.

I guess this isn't super anime-related, but here are a couple cool (but long) videos I found a while ago about one guy's theory on what the manuscript might be written in. Unlike most of these things, he actually presents some good evidence for his conclusion.

Pretty interesting, but I wonder why the text is considered untranslated? Tons of researchers have taken a crack at the text and made their own contributions. They have a good base for the alphabet, so why can't it just be read?

It's impossible to find out what the runes in the Voynich manuscript are because the script doesn't contain a key which would be necessary to decipher it and the runes don't seem to directly parallel any known alphabet. The only known languages that appear in it are several words and captions in Latin and German but written with roman letters.

If Sup Forums deciphered this it would be beyond belief. Things like Madoka are easy because those runes are invented allographs for existing writing systems.

I'm pretty sure that the manuscript is indecipherable with current knowledge. You'd need a key, assuming that it's actually a coherent language and not just made up runes placed semi-randomly. Even if it IS coherent, it could be an amalgam of existing linguistic constructs including ones that were poorly documented thus lost to time.

Unfortunately the author died like 650 years ago so we'll never find out for sure unless Sup Forums can somehow string together a series of miracles.

The guy in that video explains some of that. A lot of Voynich manuscript researchers use horrendously bad techniques, often just making things up to fit their own ideas.

If he's right and it is romani/romani-related, that also requires a researcher to find someone who speaks romani and has the interest and dedication to pursuing that lead.

Plus, academia has a lot of fucked up corruption and shit that really slows down a lot of research.

Have we legitimately reached a conclusion that it's actually text with meaning attached to it? Last time I read about it there were some not implausible theories that it's essentially an elaborate, old hoax and that the "text" is actually just gibberish without any meaning whatsoever and not some unknown language.
