You know that moment where Nietzsche has a breakdown at the sight of a horse being beaten? I had that kinda thing yesterday when I felt intense sadness at me having to kill my basil plant for dinner.
It had been in the kitchen a while and was doing good. But I needed a shitload of basil for Italian I was making. So I had to harvest all of it. And I couldn’t help but think how I was extinguishing a form of experience or existence. I know I’m an intense faggot for being sad about killing a basil plant, but fuck me the feeling was real.
