Intellectual Property belongs to everyone-

but don't worry, this is not communism.

Lol RIP disney

there is no such thing as intellectual property.

>muh mind/body dichotomy
IP and PP both stem from the mind.
There is no muslce without mind, and no mind (aciton) without muscle.

duplication != theft

>
You are not making anyone worse of when you "steal" someone idea

>muh scarcity
Just as taking a hammer disallows it's owner form using it, copying one's idea prevents it's owner from selling it.

So, pirating music and films is cool now?

see

bump

>So, pirating music and films is cool now?
OP is satire.
Kinsella is a commie, not just in taking your physical belongings...but he aims for the mind.

who exactly does it stop him from selling it? how does this make him worse of.
Stealing someones hammer sure makes him worse of because he used to have a hammer and now he doesn't.
If you copy someones idea the one who came up with it still has this idea.

Owning a hammer means that you have exclusive rights to it. Owning an idea means that you have exclusive rights to it.

>who exactly does it stop him from selling it?
It reduces the market.

You created the hammer to use it, in the same way you thought of your IP to use it. In both instances you can sell the product of your labor.

>If you copy someones idea the one who came up with it still has this idea.
In the same way that you can use a person's hammer to do all the carpentry- and the hammer's owner can still use it.

>Owning an idea means that you have exclusive rights to it.
Exactly. Kinsella and his like seek to own your mind.

There's literally nothing wrong with claiming ownership of your own unique ideas. For example in the art world, artists have immediate, absolute ownership of their own drawings the moment they're put on paper. Should intellectual property be abolished, corps and criminals could easily steal the ideas of artists who aren't wealthy or experienced enough to defend themselves.

>There's literally nothing wrong with claiming ownership of your own unique ideas.
I agree. Enemies of IP somehow believe scarcity makes property...as though scarcity is what makes property important. When infact property is made important by it's necessity for life.

>It reduces the market.
does not make him worse of than he was before
>In the same way that you can use a person's hammer to do all the carpentry- and the hammer's owner can still use it.
when you are using it the hammer owner can't use it at the same time so he has to consent to give it to you or otherwise it is considered stealing.
Ideas on the other hand can be shared without making anyone worse of.
For example if you had the idea to use a hammer to shape metal you can do that. If some sees you doing it and also uses a hammer to shape his metal, the one who came up with the idea is not made worse of.
>Owning an idea means that you have exclusive rights to it.
As long as it is inside your head. If you don't want people to copy you don't release your idea for everyone to see.

>when you are using it the hammer owner can't use it at the same time so he has to consent to give it to you or otherwise it is considered stealing.
Scarcity is not the essential of property.
Property is that which a person created/formed in order to further his life. As such, unauthorized use of one's IP is not respecting the creator's life.
>If you don't want people to copy you don't release your idea for everyone to see.
"She was wearing a short skirt, she was asking for it."

When wasn't it?

Nice false equivalency

>think of an idea
>NOW THE ENTIRE POPULATION OF EARTH IS FORBIDDEN TO THINK THE SAME THOUGHT FOR 130 YEARS

inventions, literary works and drawings existed from the dawn of humankind and nobody ever concucted and idea so horrendously stupid as intellectual property until the bongs thought it would benefit their guilded mercantalism

damnit... that got a chuckle out of me.

Thats capitalism and democracy.
>jewnited states of america encourages taking of all advancedments from people wheater it be material possesion or otherwise.

You get blacked mailed for knowing or having something you shouldn't have or killed.

what do you call the things you create like scripts, drawings, music etc?

how is that person supposed to continue to make these things you want to 'steal'

you either don't find value in them, so why do you want them?

or they are valuable and that is why you want them

yes

when someone is getting your stuff for free, they aren't paying for it

you are a moron

No you fucking idiot.....only Pedophiles from the Leahy Smith Patent and Trademark Act think they can "Open Source" other people's business ideas

You invented a scam and live it for the rest of your lives....

You would steal a piece of Shew Bread from a Rabbi you low life.....
