Lovecraftian stories were often written as 'memoirs' of someone who went insane from uncovering some unfortunate truth you retard.

dammit now I might not feel like picking up the books. someone recommend me cthulu to read but never got around to it.

Looks surprisingly good. Barely even noticed the CG.

This is just a standalone story based off that mythos, I'd heavily suggest reading them to appreciate the production more. You can find them all online anyways.

alright but what name I should go with? I forgot what name the person gave me or was it just Cthulhu?
and do you have a link to reading it online? I usually like to read while im in the bathroom or before I got o sleep, alls me to multitask if I have it in my hand.

So this is like what? An original story that's based inside the Cthulhu mythos or a loose adaptation of one of his stories? Or is she supposed to be genderbent Lovecraft himself?

I suggest "The Call of Cthulhu" and "The Shadow over Innsmouth". From there just look up reading order yourself.
Are mods still anal about spoonfeeding? Hope I don't get B&

I hope so too user

Just google it boss. They're all kind of tangential anyways.

It's not an anime rec. Nobody gives a fuck.

>tangential
as In they're not a linear stories?

Personally, I really enjoyed the one about the German Uboat. Can't recall the title but I found it to be quite creepy.

>Force of Will anime

too bad the card game is fucking dead if you're not on the west coast

As in they're all sort of related and similar, as well as often being parallel.
Reminder that the MC is often not the same person story to story.

>It's a card anime
>Glasses QT will defeat cosmic horrors with card games

Reminder that Pickman's Model, Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath, and the Temple are his best stories.

Dagon and complete cheesiness of Re-animator as runner-ups.

Too bad she can't use R/R

Is The Temple the one where Houdini sneaks into one of the great pyramids? If so, then I agree with this.

I want a Magic the Gathering anime.

Also the second FoW film looks more /m/

You got one. It's called the Kamigawa block.

But in all seriousness, fuck MtG.

I will only accept an MtG anime if it's about cute Eldrazi doing cute things.

Duelmasters.

that's deader than the ps2.

>last PS2 game (PES14) was 3 years ago
It died a slow death.

Kamigawa was really underappreciated!

MtG is in a great place now honestly.

Ula-chan, Em-chan and Kozzy-kun would make for a great SOL anime.

I think it's funny that Jace and Bolas were in Duelmasters.

lovecraft stories were mostly about fear of sea and niggras, how is it remotely related to him?

I only ever play EDH. I actually do play force of will, but it is getting increasingly harder to find communities around me.

Art direction, shot composition, choreography etc looks meh, which is the biggest problem with cg these days imo.
From a technical standpoint though, it's there. Get a director with a vision and we could have some seriously good CG shit.
Lovecraftian is a shorthand for cosmic horror in general

Eternal summer happened.

pardon?

They are mostly short stories, some are better than others. He is also hilariously racist, something a lot of people leave out when talking about Lovecraft.

My recommendations from what I've read,

>At the Mountains of Madness
>The Color out of Space
>The Shadow out of Time
>The Music of Eric Zann
>Dagon

I didn't really think Call of Cthulhu was that great. There's another one about a monster in a cave that was alright but I can't remember the name.

CoC was fucking stupid. It literally ended with the bitch going to sleep again because a boat rammed into his head.

However, everything before that was great as it provided more lore for the mythos.

You forgot The Outsider.

Don't think I read that one.

I highly recommend you to read it.

>Little different, Force of Will the Movie is six omnibus movies put one to "Force of Will the Movie' and based on some myth, fablean allegory and folktale. This first movie is different catch with card game.
Doesn't sound too promising.

"In the Walls of Eryx" and ""The Temple" are worth a read too

oh that's a good one indeed

Thanks, I'll check those out.

Looks good. Really nail that "experimental" visual.

Yeah, the card game thing kind of ruins the idea for me...
