cmon Sup Forums don't let the fact it's a white man stop you from defending this cop. Clearly it was a good shoot.

Well like i said in a previous thread the guy did reach for his back/waist. So technically the cop did have the right to shoot him.
Judging by the cops behavior though he was clearly enjoying having power over them and is not right in the head. I would bet my left nut he has a history is mistreating people in his custody and likely has a fucking screw loose. No fucking way should this guy be a cop he should be fired and sent for phych eval before he kills agian.

based af
americans killing americans is a great thing
the world needs to be purged from vermin

Nice trips.

Seeing as he's been exonerated it's only a matter of time before he moves somewhere else and finds another job with a different police force. We can only hope it's a desk job.

As for the "right to shoot", I was being sarcastic. They could have cuffed the guy when he was on the floor.

>Well like i said in a previous thread the guy did reach for his back/waist.

he did, but the cop is also a retard

"crawl towards me " =/= "crawl towards me with hand in the air"

what an imbecile, cant you give proper instruction in such a high int situation when you know emotions are high?

this whole situation seems like badly played from the cops

>They could have cuffed the guy when he was on the floor.

WHY DIDNT THEY!!!!!!!!!

WHAT IS THIS BS WITH CRAWLING

is that standard procedure???

>Georgia-teen-holding-Nintendo-Wii-controller-shot-police-thought-holding-gun
>The eyewitnesses on the scene clearly state that he had a Wii controller in his hand. He heard a knock at the door. He asked who it was, there was no response so he opened the door and upon opening the door he was immediately shot in the chest,

many such cases! SAD!
you cant even answer the doorbell without getting shot

Because they are regularly drilled to assume that every single civilian has it out for them, they probably imagined a room filled with people armed to the teeth ready to bust open the door and gun down that whole hallway filled with cops.

As always, the lives of the officers are more important than the lives of the people they are supposed to be serving.

That was an execution. There is nothing to defend there.

It's called maximizing the death count . you get a pay rise for every innocent civillian killed

I won't defend the cops but I'm not gonna lie, this thread made me super stoked for LivePD tonight

Yeah they could have cuffed him where he was But the pig could have said he feared their were more people in the room to justify.
Don't get me wrong i think this pig is fucking sick in the head and enjoyed shooting a helpless man.
But in this case it seems he can hide behind police procedure and other bullshit.

Sounds like the most generic power tripping cop ever. You have a problem with our people America.

That physically scared me and sent shivers. Just the way he was talking to both of them like they weren't humans, the way the guy was scared and crying basically begging for his life , and how the man just brutally murdered him after it all. Reminds me of the ISIS video where they go into that village at night and murder the people with the night vision camera, they kill the dad and son and a bunch of people. disgusting.

Here's his address.

an unattached crackhead with no problem to kill for his habit can be a real bitch sometimes, huh?

The problem is that those cops responded to a call of a "possible firearm" like they were looking for Bin Laden.
If there was an active shooter situation I would back the cops actions, but watching the video is like watching that scene from Jarhead with the guy wetdreaming about having the chance of killing someone.

Pro Tip

Never follow a Cops command to move towards them. Keep hands in the air and say "NO" . They literally can't do nothing but go to you eventually. They can't shoot you either because that would be murder.

How the fuck could that cop not tell it was just a scared kid?!
Personally i wouldn't have taken the shot. I would've just advanced and cuffed him especially judging by the way he was acting.
Sadly a large portion of officers are scared of their own shadow and the kid did reach towards his waistband multiple times and was warned at least 5 times.

The crawling was BS, but why the FUCK would that kid put his hands behind his back like that? He was damn lucky the cop didn't waste him right then and then he did it again when trying to crawl. How hard is it to move slowly and keep your hands where the cops can see them?

Reminder that Arizona is an open carry state. Seeing a person with a rifle in Arizona shouldn't even warrant a police response. Any calls to the police about an armed man in Arizona should have the police responding in as calm a fashion as possible.

But instead they storm the place and treat a bearded nu-male like he's going to gun kata them any second.

This
Be as obnoxiously obvious as possible "my hands are in the air I'm not a threat"

This, i can't help but masturbate again.

It unironically was a good shoot, you're just a keyboard warrior dipshit who doesn't know what he's talking about.

Yeah that is weird we walk around NH with them all the fucking time and nothing happens. People even blast them off randomly in the mountains all day everyday

The way the cop was condescending to the women and the way he kept calling the kid "young man" I thought the cop was like a 65 year old vet or something. Nope just some early 30's millennial trash.

Fuck off shill.

Dipshit edgelord, I hope you burn in hell.

Your English is atrocious, Achmed.

I hope your batteries explode on your bean eating crotch

I hope you're on the receiving end of paranoid, murderous cops looking for danger sometime.

Bonus points if you're drunk when it's happening.

He could had a knife
youtube.com/watch?v=Vix6-afHzMg

He was drunk apparently. What I dont get is why did they stop in a hallway and get them to come out instead of stacking around the door where there is several areas of cover or even breaching? Having a shootout in that hallway would be shitty to begin with but on top of that they'd be firing into the bloody street or adjacent rooms.

Yeah that cop was definitely autistic in the literal sense

Even the liveleak comments say the cop murdered the guy.

Also, THE VIDEO WASN'T SHOWN IN COURT OR ADMITTED TO EVIDENCE.

What is wrong with americans?

>The crawling was BS, but why the FUCK would that kid put his hands behind his back like that?
He was so scared, having guns pointed at him, being screamed at, and being threatened to be shot that his rational thinking was gone. He was just a normal dude with no combat training.
When he put his hands behind his back he thought he was being a good boy and getting ready for the cops to come over and cuff him like he'd seen on tv. He was thinking cops would rather have him put his hands behind his back than have his hands pointing at them.
Putting his hands behind his back at that point honestly should have been irrelevant: he had already been laying on the ground for minutes, and he was wearing loose basketball pants: if he had a gun back there cops would and should have seen it unless it was literally stuffed up his ass.
What they should have done when they had him laying on the ground prone is send one of the cops over to frisk and cuff him while the other cops cover him with guns.
But from the start the cops treated the scenario like they were raiding Bin Laden's compound or some shit, and this really needs to stop.

Did the guy who got shot actually do anything wrong that caused the police to be called in the first place, or was he simply in the wrong place at the wrong time?

If the former: play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

If the latter: murder

Fucking love it when muricans die

What I really think is pretty neat is the invention, and widespread use of police body cams. Even better is when people on a jury are not allowed to see the footage recorded by them.

Nah, they'll still put a round in you but maybe, maybe the bodycam footage will get them in trouble later.

Or maybe it won't matter one iota as in this case.

Took out his air rifle (that he uses to shoot pests with) in a hotel room to show some people and a couple saw it through his window from the spa and called the cops.

Reminder that even cops aren't safe from cops

youtu.be/--PH8pU6U0c

this, like holy shit if someone pointed an AR15 at me and told me to crawl (by definition your hands should be on the ground) after telling me to keep my hands in the air and he'd kill me if i fuck up, I would probably lose all composure, too.

i was thinking probably PTSD ex-military who thinks he should treat fellow countrymen like fucking Iraqi potential insurgents. one might forgive someone for getting fucked up in the war.

turns out he's just a manlet faggot who wanted to be a famous actor, didn't make it, and decided to be billy badass.

this little faggot should absolutely die.

so the former

Someone saw him with a gun through a window to his hotel room. Problem is it's an open carry state which means the cops shouldn't have even gone there in the first place. We're literally allowed to walk around grocery stores with loaded shotguns in this state let alone a private room

The jury saw this footage and agreed to acquit.

It was publicly released after. I guess the jury was not sequestered and they didn't want every sane person telling the jurors that looks like an execution.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Daniel_Shaver

>Shaver's wife, Laney Sweet, and her lawyer requested that the Mesa Police Department release body-cam footage of the event.[2] The request for the body-cam footage was initially refused. In a recording released by Sweet, purportedly of a meeting between her and Maricopa County prosecutors, Sweet was told that she could watch the video only if she agreed not to discuss its contents with the press.[1] Prosecutors and defense attorneys in Brailsford's murder trial asked that the body-cam footage be sealed. Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Sam Myers accepted the motion to seal the footage.[10]

>On 25 May 2016, Myers ordered portions of the video released. The released video omits the shooting itself. The edited version includes footage from Brailsford's body camera up to the time when someone exits Shaver's hotel room and footage from another officer's camera while he escorts a woman from the hotel. In accordance with arguments from Brailsford, prosecutors, and Shaver's parents, the court order had barred the public release of the encounter between officers and Shaver until Brailsford's case is resolved in order to protect Brailsford's right to a fair trial.[11]

>Simon Says all time high score champion

>What they should have done when they had him laying on the ground prone is send one of the cops over to frisk and cuff him while the other cops cover him with guns.
the only problem with that was they didn't know for sure there wasn't somebody still in the room on the other side of that door

People like to disregard this detail because they are legitimately fucking retarded.

I knew I wasn't crazy for keeping my blinds and curtains closed 24/7.

>crawl
>hands have to be on ground
Huh, I guess worms can't crawl because they don't have any hands.

Oh wait.

Owning and holding an air-rifle is not against the law, dipshit.

Pointing it out the window of a hotel after Las Vegas is kind of stupid, but not stupid enough to be murdered over. The cop was clearly not collected enough to be in this sort of situation. Or maybe he was just dying to shoot someone.

His AR dust cover has "YOU'RE FUCKED" etched in it, by himself.

>"we're gonna shoot you if you do what we tell you not to do"
>do what they tell you not to do like three times
>get shot
Even if you think cops are assholes/the devil, I can't see how you could expect anything else out of this.
Like even if you switch the cops out with gangsters or a James Bond criminal organization or whatever, there's no reason not to expect to get shot if you do a thing and someone with a gun says they'll shoot you if you do that thing.
Sure the cops were retarded assholes for asking them to go through the crawling bullshit but the kid was obviously also retarded/suicidal
>tldr the shooting was justified but everything up until the shooting was dumb

Or you know the cop could of had him stand up and walk backwards, like nearly every other competent cop does in this situation?

>Create physically impossible orders.

>Shoot for non compliance

There should be a manslaughter for the cop creating the circumstances for someone to get shot

Cop acted like an absolute retard and in no way was that standard operating procedure for arresting a perp. He was on a power-trip and it ended with a man being needlessly killed. That being said, I cannot fucking imagine why the perp would reach behind his back after being warned MULTIPLE TIMES that he would be shot for doing so.

There is a lesson here: when dealing with cops, especially when they've drawn on you, ALWAYS assume that you are dealing with the worst cop in the country. Remain as calm as you possibly can, follow instructions carefully, and move fucking SLOWLY. Given the evidence, a murder conviction would be difficult, but I do believe the cop is guilty of gross incompetence leading to a wrongful death, and I hope the family ruins him in civil court.

>His AR dust cover has "YOU'RE FUCKED" etched in it, by himself.
Yeah and the guy he shot points airsoft rifles out the window. He's also
>fat
>has patchy beard
>balding
>ugly girlfriend
>wears basketball shorts that are falling down because they can't cover his fat plumber's ass

For the millionth fucking time, this happened nearly 2 years ago well before Las vegas

>PUT YOUR RIGHT HAND IN
>NOW PUT YOUR RIGHT HAND OUT
>NOW SHAKE IT ALL ABOUT

>keep your hands in the air
>crawl towards me

How do you do this?

big if true

I'm glad this guy's dead so all these Monday morning quarterbacks can come out the woodwork. You wouldn't have done a thing differently.

The Las Vegas shooting got you guys paranoid.
I assumed a lot of people were also paranoid of planes.

gud b8, i'm triggerd.

>I SAID RIGHT HAND BLUE
BLAM BLAM BLAM

He's also
>White
>working american
>had 2 young daughters
>no evidence of any degeneracy, he was drunk in his own hotel room
Fuck off you bootlicking statist fucks

he called him "young man" despite the shooter and the victim both being 26 years old. What a fucking piece of shit.

Murder is cool! those cucks in Europe don't understand how pussified their cops are. American cops are fucking manly and murder their own population, fucking awesome.

dude, the guy was sobbing like a scared bitch. he didn't act like he had a group of guys waiting to BTFO the cops. he was clearly drunk.

the reason he's on trial is because his instructions were weird and normal people watch this and are confused.

>>no evidence of any degeneracy,
pointed his airsoft rifle out the window like a retard. had it coming. now his daughters will grow up without a father because he is a fucking retard. congratulations.

>Owning and holding an air-rifle is not against the law
True, but shooting someone who is acting suspiciously and erratically and may or may not be armed, seeing how they were holding a weapon that may or may not have been an air rifle, making lethal force a reasonable response to what appears to be lethal force (even if it isn't actually so), is not against the law, either.

But the jury deliberated after Las Vegas.

It may have factored into their acquittal. Like here defending the shoot.

I was talking to my pops about this case today. It reminded him of a time back in the 70s in California. He had just purchased a pistol, and him and my mom, and their dog were driving back home. My mom wanted to stop and grab some items from the store, so my pops pulled into the parking lot, she went inside, and he decided to spend that little time taking a quick peek at his new gun. Someone saw him looking at the pistol, and called the police, saying he was waving it around like a damn fool. Mom finished her shopping, and they drove off. A few miles later, they got pulled over by the police, and my dad had no idea why. The cops stopped their car really far away from my dad's car, and were yelling instructions at him over the loudspeaker, while one cop has a pistol on him, and another had a shotgun pointed at him. The instructions were kinda dangerous, and my pop really thought he was going to get shot. I guess the side of the road was covered in big like 2" loose rocks. The cops made him put both hands on his head, and walk backward over the rocks to them. He almost lost his footing a few times, and he figured if he fell, he was going to get full of bullets. Luckily he didn't fall, the cops cuffed him, then threatened to kill their Golden Retriever who was barking at the cops. My mom had to lay on her and cover her face up to get her to calm down. They looked over my dad's paperwork, and sent him on his way.

>dude, the guy was sobbing like a scared bitch.
people who are in fragile emotional states often do reckless and dangerous acts ;)

The only reason this shoot was not illegal because it was a cop pulling the trigger, you tard.

This is why the force attracts psychotics. They have a license to kill. They can do what they've always wanted to do, and they have powerful unions covering their ass when they do it.

...

I gaurantee you I wouldn't pump 5 rounds into a drunk guy adjusting his shorts while crawling towards me, which I ordered him to do along with 10 other asinine commands

>DEFEND THIS!
>Shaver, 26, sobbed as he begged police not to shoot and was ordered to crawl toward officers. As he inched forward, he reached toward the waistband of his shorts. Brailsford said he fired his rifle because he believed Shaver was grabbing a handgun in his waistband.
Done.
>youtube.com/watch?v=VBUUx0jUKxc

Cops are trash, but this guy was even more trash.

usually the police "murder" videos clearly show that an officer was in the right, but in this one the officer is obviously wrong
>terrible instructions and procedure
>barking orders at civilians like military police apprehending a man who possibly stole firearms from the armory
>shooting him without any gun pull
>not seeing that he was intoxicated
I think he should have been found guilty for the manslaughter charge

I just tried it and I could do it, albeit shakely. I guess if I couldn't I'd either fall flat forward or say I can't do it, in general just do my best to not get shot so I can live to post "fuck cops" on my internet blog or whatever.
Reminder that he was only in danger of getting shot when he kept reaching for his back/hip, even crawling on the ground was tolerated by the cop. I'm guessing if he just straight up stayed laid down, he could get cop#2 to cuff him.

>I gaurantee you I wouldn't pump 5 rounds into a drunk guy adjusting his shorts while crawling towards me,
You told the guy repeatedly to not move his hands towards his waist or the small of his back or he will be shot and he does it anyway!

Cops like this should be hanged

youre not allowed to brandish it though

having a rifle on a sling of pistol in a holster is different then waving your fucking gun around in the air like a moron. that type of stuff is how a loose round goes through the wall and hits some innocent kid on the other side. im pro gun, but they arent toys. you shouldnt be larping with your air rifle. thats the same as the kid in cleveland. he got what he got and so did this guy. its not surprising

Nigger for the umpteenth time, HE WAS NOT POINTING IT OUT THE WINDOW, he was showing it to someone and someone outside seen into his room

But you're saying he shouldn't do things with a rifle because of it, so that's makes your entire point irrelevant you drooling retard

and all the people defending the guy's actions because he was DRUNK. so why did he say "no" when the cop asked if he'd been drinking? Hmmmmmmmmmm

agree, but they don't often have an army behind them which is why he should've just laid on the ground, face down and they should have cuffed him without telling him to crawl and then screaming and threatening to kill him for uncrossing his legs.

i bet that manlet felt real powerful

>You told the guy repeatedly to not move his hands towards his waist or the small of his back or he will be shot and he does it anyway!

You mean, you hyped yourself up into kill mode before you even knew what was going on?

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Was probably pointing it towards the window thinking he was Captain Nigger Badass

Aren't Russian cops more prone to police brutality?

>The only reason this shoot was not illegal because it was a cop
>what the fuck is a stand your ground law
>w-what do you mean civilians (non-cops) can take advantage of stand your ground?!
You're a special kind of retard.

>5'8

He didn't listen to orders given to him, wigger got what he deserved.

You guys arm chair quarterbacking need to watch a couple hours of cops getting hurt by criminal trash. There are plenty of youtube videos.

youtube.com/watch?v=aXqoYMOkuYc

Start with this one at 1:00

If you think cops should stick their neck out for random slobs go ahead and become a cop.

We've got them beat now, desu

USA USA USA

>You told the guy repeatedly to not move his hands towards his waist or the small of his back or he will be shot and he does it anyway!
He's fucking drunk, he doesn't know what you said to him 5 seconds ago. I know that because I have common sense

Oh please. Being a cop doesn't even make it in the top 10 most dangerous jobs. Furthermore, its a profession of volunteers. No one is conscripted into the force.

Yes, move to Florida and try standing your ground against a cop and see what happens

Or maybe that's just a retarded assumption you made to justify your disgusting attitude

You disgusting myopic faggot, you really cannot see the ridiculous, deficient and harmfully incompetent police work the rest of us saw, can you?

>If you think cops should stick their neck out for random slobs go ahead and become a cop.

They should, and that's why I wouldn't be a cop. It's relatively thankless for what's expected, and required. Don't know if I can be that noble, day in and day out.

As long as they kill each other i am ok with it, stupidity shouldn't be passed down the line
