We need to hype Chihayafuru dammit

We need to hype Chihayafuru dammit

S3 never

Chihayafuru is already eternal hype bro

Taichi ending: 1.0% chance
Arata ending: 0.1% chance

Bye.

The only other anime that got me this excited during a match was kaiji.

Karuta ending: 100% chance

That's good user. Very good.

What happens in the manga after the end of S2?

Arata confesses, get's ignored completely. About a year later Chihaya remembers that she didnt answer and then just confirms that all she thinks about is Karuta.

Taichi also confesses, also gets no answer. He doesn't take it as easy as Arata did though, so it results in him leaving the club.

It's mostly just Karuta though.

Harada Sensei became challenger only to be toyed with by the Meijin.
Chihaya went Supersaiyan once to destroy Arata and is very close to the Queen by now, even without transforming.
Taichi is practicing with the Meijin and is on the way to becoming Meijin himself, maybe more so than Arata.
Queen is trying to become the first professional Karuta player.
The final high school tournament just ended with Retro-kun leading Hokuo to victory.
And Chihaya started studying hard, because she wants to become a Teacher, so she can be a Karuta club advisor.

Christ, that sounds terrible. Maybe it's a good thing we're not getting another season.

What about it sounds terrible? I'm enjoying it very much. Can't wait for the next chapter.

>chihaya thinks about arata during taichis confession

arata has the upper hand atm

nah it sounds terrible but was pretty good, personally I found it better than the anime actually

>And Chihaya started studying hard, because she wants to become a Teacher, so she can be a Karuta club advisor.

I was also shocked, user, very shocked.

How many chapters behind raws are scans now?

Arata will win but Kurata is the real winner.

0. It's on hiatus btw.

>shoujo shit
nah

It's josei, you fucking newshit

Literally on hiatus for what 3 months? The series is slow enough as it is.

New chapter is out the first of next month.

Literal retarded

>melodrama love crap
>school setting
It's the same shit.

/Kanna/

Same here. Enjoyed the story much more after the point where the anime left off.

It always astonishes me how people can make broad sweeping claims about the quality of shows when literally the only thing that actually matters when impacting the quality of a show is its execution.

You could have a show involving any plot and if its executed well it won't matter.
>writing
>animation
>voice acting
>music
>editing
>misc sound
>directing

These are actually the only things that matter. Genre/Setting/Premise is basically irrelevant. Its fucking hilarious too whenever you see newcomers in any creative endeavor the thing they always zero in on and focus on is the broad idea.

>I have this movie idea
>I have this idea for a game
>I have this idea for a book

And people that are professionals, editors, creators, publishers... They don't care because they know its the biggest fucking waste of time worrying about ideas because execution is literally all that matters.

tldr: You're a retard for excluding a show based on any sort of broad sweeping assumption
>genre
>length
>artstyle
etc

Why is there like zero porn of this show?
Every fucking girl in it is sexy as fuck and there's practically like a dozen different NTR angles.

user, should I watch the anime or read the manga?

donut lewd the chihayafuru

You'll have to watch the anime or read moonrunes to get the entire story, a large part of the manga isn't translated.

Ahhh thanks user.

The anime is a pretty good adaptation. I'd personally watch the anime then pick up the manga where the show leaves off.

Then get used to the long wait between chapters.

I thought about getting into it back then, but I missed the train. Glad to see I can still catch up.

Why are you in the thread of series you know shit about?

Because it's not popular with men

I actually haven't been enjoying the manga as much with Taichi leaving. And there's so much focus on karuta that the who character interactions have been lacking. I am interested in how Taichi's training and development are going to play out, though. I hope he pushes Arata's shit in.

>I hope he pushes Arata's shit in.
Taichi has a complex when it comes to Arata. He needs to get over that first.

I mean it's been emphasized so long in regards to Taichi's effort vs Arata's natural genius, and how some people have seen glimpses of it (MILF-sensei from Fujisaki), and the training with the Meijin is supposed to be a device for that as well.

>we

i'm half way through the first season of the anime

is season 2 any good?

If you're enjoying the first season then you'll enjoy the second one.

so good

Loli chihaya the cutest

What do you have against Arata?

I so miss S2

He isn't Taichi. Taichi carries this manga.

Hosayan > Miyano

Nah.

Fine, Taichi and Desk.

Why do people argue about the pairing when it's told to us from the beginning?

Desk is more of an alpha than Taichi. But they don't carry shit.

Read Manga and Ruin watching S3 if it comes out.

or

Suffer forever.

I hate this feeling.

She's horrible to her friends

It's very overrated, and exactly like the majority of generic high school level sports series- fun at first when they're establishing the characters and their skill level, boring and repetitive as fuck once they get to the matches/games.

I'm gonna wreck you, mate.

I love Chihaya.

She's so stupid .

>I mean it's been emphasized so long in regards to Taichi's effort vs Arata's natural genius
Silly Taichifag, it's been stressed out at every possible opportunity that Arata has both talent and hard work going for him.
If there's any contrast being highlighted it's between Arata and the meijin; meijin embodying the isolation and Arata emodying the community aspects of the karuta society. Same with Chihaya and Shinobu to a smaller extent.

Taichi is going to win and you know it

Dropped when she weaseled out of the bet.

I had a Dream About S3 coming soon.

Is this show good in terms of mind games? Was looking for something similar to the likes of Kaiji and Death note

>Was looking for something similar to the likes of Kaiji and Death note
You're not going to find it here. If I remember correctly, there's some semblance of tactics in certain karuta matches, but it's nowhere near, say, Kaiji's level.

That's a pity, It's so hard to find any anime that fits this style.

Read more manga.

New chapter after three months, Taichi and Chihaya meet "somewhere" unexpectedly. Where is it going to be? Yoshino? To be honest I just want them to get to the meijin/queen qualifiers already, but it's still a few months in-universe.

>Arata emodying the community aspects of the karuta society
That's a funny thing to say, given that Arata shared Shinobu's views during most of the manga and only recently built a team. If anyone embodies community it's Chihaya.
And anyway, I could see Suou getting more in touch with other people, now that there's someone sticking around with him.

Every goddamn chapter makes me tear up, later chapters just feel so perfect save for some nonames who eat up pages.

So you judge stuff purely by summaries, huh? maybe this will be more your alley

A boy falls in love with a girl.
Unable to confess, he is gifted with by a deus ex machina with the girl’s phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.
But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day’s confessions to the girl, she only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the girl he called is not the same girl he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn’t exist in this universe at all. She is the girl’s alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC’s own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.

>I actually haven't been enjoying the manga as much with Taichi leaving.

True but it gives more weight to Taichi centric chapters so it's not all bad.

>That's a funny thing to say, given that Arata shared Shinobu's views during most of the manga and only recently built a team.
No he didn't, that was Shinobu's delusion. He never practices alone, he never intentionally holds back. Arata was always involved in his local community, participating in tournaments etc; after returning to the game he's becoming more and more of a central figure in the competetive scene as the story progresses.

There is a scene where Arata is talking to Chihaya and he literally says that he's not interested in team matches, echoing what Shinobu had said. Or maybe she said it after that, I don't remember that well, but the point still stands. Participating in tournaments isn't the same as getting involved in the community. It's mostly the older ex-players/readers who are putting expectations on him, that's why he's well-known.

Because Desk already won the Oe-bowl

Arata won his fair share of polls also. He got 2nd place in a Kodansha poll for favorite megane. He won a Yahoo Japan poll for character most likely to receive chocolate on V-day.

Also him and Chihaya won the popular pairing with 68,000+ votes and they were put on the limited copy of volume 25. This was back in 2015 which came after that ranking you posted.

There was also another poll where readers voted for their favorite scenes so far. I'll try and find that one.

Both boys are popular.

>There was also another poll where readers voted for their favorite scenes so far. I'll try and find that one.
Taichi's confession was first place in that one.

Yes, and I think Arata's was second. I'm not sure though.

I also wanted to find the translated comments from the poll.
