>Two movies coming out this
>An unannounced TV project also in the works
What went so right?
*this year
>animekino
>the false flagging Kimi no na Wa Oscar threads
Can the Sup Forumsfaggots fuck off already
Just announce the GODAMN TV project already.
No one care about the kiddie movies.
This
Talentless Hack.
You don't have to be mad.
>the false flagging Kimi no na Wa Oscar threads
Nothing new, every year this board becomes infested with crossborders making threads about that Jew shitfest
Kill yourself
>muh mature animu for mature adults like myself
>muh kidshit for childish manchildren such as myself
grow up
Kill yourself.
Kill yourselves.
YEAR OF YUASA
ANIME IS SAVED
...
>discounting everything for kids
>implying a fucking Morimi adaptation is for kids
Kill yourself, Lelouch, you massive retard.
Guaranteed flops.
As long as he gets work, who cares?
...
Movies aren't late night slots for autistic otaku. Why do you think he's moving away from television?
Fuck off, cancer.
>Movies aren't late night slots for autistic otaku.
And yet Mind Game still flopped massively. Not like it matters, anyway - is right.
>Why do you think he's moving away from television?
Nice speculation.
Hell, it's about time.
I'm optimistic but revisiting Tatami Galaxy isn't terribly interesting, and his family movie looks more conventional than I'd hoped. It moves good though, from the trailer. Definitely what I'm anticipating most this year, though.
>revisiting Tatami Galaxy
Why do people keep thinking this? It's a different book by the same author.
Stylistically, plus they seem to share characters and similar narratives.
>Tatami Galaxy spinoff for cash
>Ponyo for hipster youth
>TV anime will probably just be another adaptation
Yuasa is fucking dead
Tatami Galaxy sold 7k on average and was one of the first noitaminA shows to do that well
Year of Morimi!
He's not working for Madhouse or someone else anymore, it's his studio.
This stuff better succeed.
>tfw when the TV project is a collab with Oshiyama
I hope Oshiyama doesn't drag the project down.
Hopefully he's only episode director.
>kino
Fuck off Sup Forums
People are being really fucking harsh on Oshiyama after one project, geez.
I loved his Space Dandy episode but after FF it's clear that he's not ready to be in control of an entire series.
Hopefully Yuasa is in charge.
watch out, we've got a yamakan here
I think a number of things were against him on that project. It's his first time, it's an original, he had to bend to producers, make compromises, deal with a 13 episode slot, etc. We know he's capable of more, we've seen him do better.
Fuck you for making me think we'd be getting another season of Kino.
>let's look no further than sales
What?
FF is a flawed masterpiece. Nothing to be ashamed about.
FF is a flawed mediocre product. Nothing to overrate for no reason.
pleb taste confirmed
Fuck Oshiyama, Choi's directorial debut when?
Science Saru has a third film in the works, probably her.
How old is she?
Kino is basically a Sup Forums meme, not a Sup Forums-only anymore.
Director, YOB, series or film debut
>Katsuhiro Otomo, 1954, 1988 Akira (34 yo)
>Hideaki Anno, 1960, 1990 Nadia (30 yo)
>Akiyuki Shinbo, 1961, 1994 Metal Fighter Miku (33 yo)
>Satoshi Kon, 1963, 1997 Perfect Blue (34 yo)
>Kunihiko Ikuhara, 1964, 1997 Utena (33 yo)
>ShinichirÅ Watanabe, 1965, 1998 Cowboy Bebop (33 yo)
>Masaaki Yuasa, 1965, 2004 Mind Game (39 yo)
>Kenji Kamiyama, 1966, 2002 GitS (36 yo)
>Mitsuo Iso, 1966, 2007 Dennou Coil (41 yo)
>Hiroyuki Imaishi, 1971, 2004 Dead Leaves (33 yo)
>Makoto Shinkai, 1973, 2004 The Place Promised in Our Early Days (31 yo)
Gunbuster doesn't count for Anno?
It was OVA, a different kind of production.
Hardly.
What is this list for?
Ikuhara became series director before Utena.
What was the point of the post anyway?
Why did you post this?
I love Yuasa's work, but that movie PV, Lu or whatever it was called, looked very boring. I hope he'll prove me wrong though
I agree, but in movement it looked pretty nice I guess. Trying to stay optimistic but it kinda looks like discount Ponyo.
