So if a business is forced to support a religious ceremony (a wedding) for homosexuals by baking them a cake does that also mean that for legal prostitution the prostitute is not allowed to say to homosexual sex since that would be discrimination based on sexual orientation?
Are they also forced to have sex with blacks since denying them service on the basis of race is illegal?
No. The baker already offered wedding cakes. He did not have a sign saying no gay weddings or a big quote from Leviticus saying sodomites are to be killed on the wall. They had no idea he was anti-gay. In the baker's mind gays are like Halloween, just generically sinful and he doesn't care to think it over more because it doesn't really affect him. He doesn't want it to affect him. Straight people don't have the right anymore to pressure gay people to live in the closet in developed countries.
Carson Long
What about blacks though? Are legal prostitutes forced to get BLACKED?
Evan Smith
"The prostitute was already offering sex. She didn't have a sign saying no gay sex."
See how retarded that sounds?
Alexander Ortiz
If they are legal, and operating out of a public storefront, than yes. I'd assume most brothels are set up as private clubs, which ARE allowed to discriminate as they are not public accommodation. So actually you raise a good point that has been addressed in the law.
Prostitutes are not typically offered in a public storefront in the United States.
Carson Rivera
Good point. The people suing Masterpiece Cakeshop could have easily gone to another business.
Charles Morales
Or the baker could stop offering wedding cakes since he cannot profit in Colorado at the expense of protected classes including sexual orientation under the law. That's what happened there. Melissa's Sweet Cakes in Oregon turned into a home business, and those ARE allowed to discriminate because they are not public accommodations. They also made back at least 3x what they were fined by the state in donations.
Xavier Howard
We will push homos back in the closet. We won't bake your damn cake you foppish fuck. We will just pay the fines and shoo you fags away.
Ryan Sanders
Ok so if we strip out all of the irrelevant hysterics you posted, I think your argument is >Under the law, sexual orientation is a protected class and therefore no public business can deny its services to gays for any reason. So do you agree that a sex worker working at a brothel, say in Nevada, would be required by similar reasoning to have sex with a homosexual, even if they didn't want to?
Parker Torres
Far worse it means ALL businesses can redefine the contract of employment to force ALL employees to be prostitutes.
LGBT confederates can't get Walmart to bake a cake with “love wins” written on a “confederate flag”.
Angel Williams
>I'd assume most brothels are set up as private clubs, which ARE allowed to discriminate as they are not public accommodation. Interesting Why don't Christian bakers just make all customers sill out a token form to become a "member" of the bakery shop? Then they can weed out people they don't like.
Oliver Ortiz
Brothels would have to be open to the public. They are likely set up as private clubs and therefore not subject to that law.
Brayden Jones
Well that or just put anti-gay bible verses on the wall. Or run at home businesses like homeschooling. But yeah Christian bakers should totally just charge 5$ memberships to "bakers club" so people who are unfamiliar with the bakery don't have to be sold to at all.
Tyler Lee
The baker offered to sell them a cake. Anything beyond that is a special request. You don't need a poster on the wall depicting some fag's AIDS ridden corpse to state that you disagree with faggotry.
Lucas Smith
I guess I'm wondering what is the legal definition of private club. Seems like every business in the South should do it so they can discriminate against blacks. I'm assuming that's how country clubs do it.
Dominic Howard
I'm from the South. Yankees are far more racist. I guess that's what happens when you live amongst them here, it's easier to determine the difference between a black man and a nigger.
Adrian Wright
I don't understand the distinction in your mind. A private club can't bar blacks, for example. And the Bunny Ranch in Nevada is effectively "open to the public."
So suppose Masterpiece Cakeshop changed its business model to only serve to "club members", and its only requirement for membership was that you had to be straight (which is more discriminatory than they want, they'll serve gays, just not gay weddings!). Would that be ok with you?
And you're still avoiding my question. Should a straight sex worker should be forced under law to have sex with a gay customer (or for that matter a gay sex worker having sex with a straight customer)? Is the next civil rights movement going to be "suck the dick, bigot"?
Austin White
No. We will keep doing what we do in public. Your homosexuality is a disorder. You cannot force Christians to go against their conscience because of your tender feelings over an aberration of the natural order
Joshua Reed
Quite different scenarios, desu senpai.
A cake is a cake, no matter if it is for a homo or a real man.
Sex can be denied to anyone by a hooker, homos, Muslims, old people, black people, Jews etc. This is no discrimination, but personal preference.
Brody Lee
>A private club can't bar blacks, for example Yes they can, many country clubs legally do
Jack Rogers
It's discrimination if you do it on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation, etc. Otherwise you can say baking a cake for someone is personal preference.
Easton Walker
>They had no idea he was anti-gay.
Bullshit. This is a targeted assault.
Kevin Sanchez
This is key.
Adam Hernandez
Not where I live, but maybe that's not a federal thing. Can you give me some examples?
Jack Martin
I always wanted to get a hooker but I’m aftaid she would laugh at me and refuse to eat my monkey
>Cypress Point According to wikipedia, they weren't refusing blacks, they just didn't have any. And when pressed by the PGA, they let in Condi Rice.
So I'd still like an example of something operating at all like a business and openly flaunting the civil rights act. The only thing I can even think of is Curves Gym. I can't find any examples of "no darkies allowed" from any organization that wasn't sued into oblivion.
Lucas Morris
I've been googling it and I can't find one openly saying NO BLACKS But there are still some that are whites only and "claim" they don't discriminate, just the waiting lists are too long. Which would be like businesses that hire no minorities and claim none are qualified.
