let's see if anyone knows the show that is behind the famous webm
I like it quite a lot, it sucks that it only had a handful of episodes, but it's fine the way it is. The comedy is quite repetitive anyways, so one can't really watch all the episodes at once. It'd become too stale then.
Is the manga any different from the show? It also is still continuing, so is it still set in university then, what does the character do. Is there even any plot or character development?
It was amazing following it weekly. Sadly, no one on Sup Forums really gave a shit from what I remember.
Ian Smith
Best boy
Asher Anderson
I need a translation for the manga.
Thomas Clark
I liked the first half, but after that it just gets repetitive and boring.
Noah Martin
How the fuck is this possible, it's a show / manga about anime / manga. It's not like Bakuman which is shallow, tedious trash.
Joseph Jenkins
Very entertaining if you like older manga and the process of animation and the people behind it. The humor is typical Japanese overreacting and misunderstandings but is a lot of fun
Henry Stewart
Future Gainax have sent Otaking to Tokyo aiming to produce real anime, Honoo is published but not serialized yet and his editor arranged him to meet Tetsu Kariya (Otokogumi) to learn from him. The manga remade the anime original scene where Anno asks Honoo for an autograph. Those are some events in volumes 15-16, so yeah there's development.
Adam Moore
Sup Forums gave a shit. Not a big one, but still one.
Christian Gonzalez
Why didn't Anno make a cameo when they could get Otaking and Akai? Is it related to Gainax's downfall?
Hudson Hughes
Are you high? We had threads every episode.
Parker Moore
I can translate just need raws
Lincoln Campbell
They're readily available.
Easton Kelly
where
Joshua Russell
Nyaa. Sup Forums secret club manga site.
Camden Williams
it's a guy willing to translate, and not just a random newfag that wants to get spoonfed. You make an exception for cases like this.
Maybe too shy or his face it too iconic to be a side character in a story about him.
ah didn't know it was there. usually i'd have to dig on some nasty looking sites.
Jace Jones
Wow someone actually reads this shit? Is the comedy comparable to the drama? It can't possibly be better.
Dominic Bell
Isn't that Buddha from Yoshihiko?
Nathan Scott
The drama is probably funnier, characters acting like manga characters just is less out of place in a manga than in a drama, but that's what makes the live action good. It's still funny though.
Brayden Foster
Ok that makes me optimistic. And the art doesn't look half bad either.
Charles Gomez
Yes.
Julian Gonzalez
Is the show worth watching even if you don't get all the references or whatever? In the mood for some comedy.
Easton Anderson
This guy art is awesome in my opinion.
Nathaniel Martin
Not him, but the threads only had 20 or so anons.
Lucas Collins
I barely have watched any Anime at all. I don't know much of anything, so the over-the-top explanations are informative and still funny because they're out of place and make it seem so important. just don't watch too many episodes at once, the comedy is repetitive and it gets stale fast.
Blake Wright
Watch an episode and decide for yourself
Joseph Rogers
Doesn't mean people don't give a shit, don't discount possible lurkers.
Isaac Phillips
Also remember that there were /m/ threads too.
Isaac Rodriguez
It looks very much like an update to how most manga were drawn in the 70s , I think.
Austin Davis
It was big on /m/ for obvious reasons Also this
Blake Nelson
Did anyone have a list of all the anime and manga referenced?
Ryan Sanchez
It was great I actually really liked the ending
David Sanchez
>the creator has a cameo in the last scene talking about riding the bike into the future I appreciated the show more in the second run.
