Saki Tanoshii

Akio translated Saki 169 and Toki 7 (dump in last thread ).

There was also a dump of Saki Biyori 62? (untranslated) and Toki 8 (live translation), but no Shinohayu dump (some leaked panels and pages were translated).

Dumping Shinohayu now.

STOP RIGHT THERE I HAVE A TRANSLATION
So please allow me.
>The day when Shino and Chihiro will stand against each other is close by.

Chapter 41: Trailing
>Yue...
>[TSUMO!]
>Riichi and menhon, dora 1, (Menhon means closed honitsu but you should know this already)
>6000 all!

>RON!
>TSUMO!
>RON!

thanks, stopping now.

>Keeping winning with closed honitsu like that...
>What the hell is she...
>We played together in elementary, right...
>Was she ever that strong?
>Dammit.
>If only it wasn't for that hanchan...
>If only I had more points in total!

>But...
>At least I made it past the city level.

>Oh.
>So what was that, about a talk?
>Being so formal about it too.
>Since there was a tournament yesterday, it was a little hard to say it back then.
>It's about this.
>About the time you didn't let us use the clubroom last week.
>It was right before the city tournament, so we wanted to get more practice in.

>Well, look at it like that.
>You know, first-rank athletes...
>First rank athletes!
>They say they regularly do a day of rest after two days of practice.
>Yeah, but right before a match...
>ALSO,
>I've heard that if you're using your head, it's better to do so before noon, and if you're using your body, after.
>You increased the amount of time for morning practice on your own, right?
>So you should take a break from practicing in the clubroom at least once a week.
>Practicing in some other, different way, wouldn't be bad for you.
>Well, it's not like we don't understand a little...

>Advisor, isn't it just because you want to play hooky?
>Don't get too cocky.
>Although, there's that too.
>Anyway, yesterday you all had a tournament.
>That's why today you're resting.
>Eeh?
>Go already, back home, you all.
>Restore yourself.
>So what are we doing? Today.
>Well...

>The hell's that advisor doing while skipping out anyway?
>Ooh!
>Makes you curious, right?
>You rascals...
>What are you planning?
>A secret investigation, right!?
>Like detectives!
>Alriiiight!
>Let's go trail her!
>...
>Haya...

>Now that's a problem... She's going on foot...

>You thought that if Sensei used a car or something Kanna-chan and the others would've given up, right?
>Yeah, exactly.

>A cafe!
>I've never been to that one.
>What now?
>Well, that's it then.
>Guess we'll just have to wait here.

>Well, time to go back!
>Pathetic...
>So, everyone's going to go home and practice on their own?
>That's a shame...

>I see.
>So that's why you're back so early today.
>Yeah.
>Now that I think about it, I haven't been to a cafe in a while.
>Want to go?
>Hmmm, wonder if that place is still open?

>Welcome.
>Woah.
>Well, looks like we have it all for ourself.
>Are you two on a date?
>EH?
>Well, kind of like that.
ShinoRicha is stronger than ever

>ARE YOU CRAZY?
>That's not nice of you to say, I just went with the flow.
>What do you want?
>Hmmm...
>A milkshake.
>I'll have one as well then.
>This is a pretty nice place.
>Yeah.
>Huh?

>Is that... Sakane-sensei?
>Thank you for waiting, here's your order.
>That photo... it's me in my middle school years.
>I'm on the left.
>Isn't that Yumachi's uniform?
>5th grade.
>If you know the uniform, are you from around here then?
>I am.

>So, if you end up going to Yumachi Middle after you graduate.
>Say this person hi from me, she's a teacher there.
>Umm, well... I enrolled there this spring.
>Oh, I didn't mean to!
>I'm sorry.
>Well, I was a grade-schooler just until recently, after all.
>That's just fine.
>It's fine.

>Chisa is an advisor for the mahjong club and they even made it through the city tournament.
>She was really excited about it.
>Just recently, she met up in Hiroshima with an acquintance who works at a really strong school.
>I guess she asked around about what kind of training they do and watched how they do it.
>Although...
>In our middle school years, we had this extremely Spartan advisor, you see.
>A lot of the club members broke under the pressure.
>Well, so did I.
>Because of that experience, Chisa was careful so her students wouldn't overtrain.
>But it seems that just made some of them angry with her instead.

>Umm... After hearing this much it's hard for me to say this, but...
>I'm in the mahjong club.
>Ooooooh dear.

>That woman...
>And her big mouth...
>How should I say it...
>Anyway, if you're going to train a lot, you mustn't forget about resting!
>Besides, the Japanese girls' devotion to their clubs is like an obsession, it's troublesome.

>Obviously, there are a lot of bright people to come out of that.
>Some end up squandering their potential too, that happens.
>Sometimes, you have to be brave enough to rest.
>Although I understand the mindset of "He who puts in the most effort is assured to win" too.
>We mostly get it.

>But could you please leave the room open on the rest days too?
>You can close it up when you're going home.
>Alright.
>I'll try to leave it open until it's time for the students to leave.

>Time until the prefectural tournament: 1 month.
>Yuumachi Middle School Mahjong club has more than enough spirit.
Cont. 25th of February, just like usual.
Also, a correction, I just realised how little sense this makes.
>Isn't that Yumachi's uniform?
>5th grade.
>If you know the uniform, are you from around here then?
Should instead be.
>That's not Yumachi's uniform, is it?
>Nope, 5 Middle's.
>Since you recongise the uniforms, you must be from around here then?
I don't know how I even managed to get that first one.
I really loved this chapter. Sakane was definitely one of the points that made me worried the most in Shinohayu recently, I was afraid she's be a bitch for cheap drama (In hindsight, kind of a baseless worry, Ritz didn't really ever do stuff like that), but her plot was wrapped up nice and clean, she just didn't want the girls to overexert themselves even if she had to force them to rest. Now we just need Kanna to get her shit together for the Nth time and we're set. A month left, I hope we get some Kyouka 強化 in preparation for the tourney.
Plus, more ShinoRicha is always like sweet nectar poured over my heart.
That being said, does anyone know where one could find scans/photos of the bonuses included in tankoubons?
I don't mean the store-exclusive stuff like the Gamers bromides etc, I mean stuff like the photos included on Shinohayu's cover or that part with Kyouka/Hayaya from the last Saki volume.

I guess someone could dump the proper scans of Biyori/Toki if they wanted.

The covers etc. are often posted on futaba together with the bonuses. On the other hand, not all are posted, I still didn't see a good pic of the Toki cover.

p. 42 of Saki Biyori vol. 6

bonus page from Saki vol. 16

tokii...

I remember someone posting a link to a blog that compiled all of the bonuses and volume-only stuff, but I can't find it.
By photos in Shinohayu I mean those kinds of bonus pages, the stuff that's on the cardboard cover under the paper cover on the book.

another one - hmmm, I should perhaps check if some volumes were completely scanned.

...

Saki biyori had a bonus chapter (some were also in color instead of black and white).

cover without the dust jacket (two versions, but I only have this).

first page

second page, without the TOC

what the fuck is this!?

The ending.

Is Nododad really Japanese with such light hair?
Perhaps it's just turned grey.
He's very handsome, Nodoka has good genes for aging from both her mother and her father.

...

Here's the translation.
