I know Sonic gets shit on for it's autistic fans, but what does Sup Forums think of the Sonic OVA? I think it's pretty amazing and does the series better than any of the american/canadian cartoons. It has incredibly detailed art that just looks gorgeous, and the animation is top quality, Uses the characters well as well as having some great action sequences. It even has awesome fucking music.

No idea who did the music but god damn, It seems like a lot of effort went into an OVA for a video game character. The story is good too and it's only about 45 minutes so it doesn't even feel like it goes on for that long. It's a really fun watch even if you're just casual fan of the franchise.

pfft amateur. Do you not have the slip cover case that comes with it? Thought about getting it on DVD but it was only released once back in the late 90's and now the DVD is expensive. I'll just have to wait for a future release. Hopefully a Blu Ray since it deserves a HD release.
You can always tell if a Sonic-related thing is gonna be good by how stylish it looks and the OVA is the best the series ever has.

I should probably go back and watch that. I've been a big fan of Sonic for pretty much my whole life, but I don't think I ever actually bothered to watch that despite knowing about it.
Sonic X was actually my first real experience watching Jap-dub, Eng-sub anime. I'll never fucking forget the time Sonic's Jap VA actually said the English word "shit," it's literally imprinted in my memory, it was so fucking funny at the time.

Animators have been worked to death since the 50s and still are, nothing really changes. Remember, though, OVAs weren't released weekly, so they had a lot more time compared to TV shit.
