He wasn't even that wrong, I think most people living in 1st world countries prefer internal reform to violent revolution. He almost made it too, if Euphemia hadn't died or if he had become the Knight of One he would have succeeded. He just allowed his guilt from killing his father blind him to how awful the system he was trying to change actually was. His methods would have been appropriate had Britannia been a democratic republic that didn't regularly slaughter entire ghettos.
