Computers can now automatically color lineart drawings

Computers can now automatically color lineart drawings.

Japanese artists are going CRAZY

Give it a try at
paintschainer.preferred.tech/

Nice shilling thread.

Is this your school project? Because it sucks.

>Shilling something free

The nips are crazy about it. If this is made in python by some sucker, imagine what will happen in a few years.

Um, use the bucket tool?

Also, this installs a keylogger on your browser

It works!

So what, is this basically some smart color fill?

Use dots for better results.

Someone do pic related for me.

Ehm, okay?

i clicked and my pc exploded
thanks

Your scat looks wrong

You don't use digital art much, do you? If you're using MSpaint and are good with connecting your lines then yea, this works. But if you're sketching and want a painted look, or no linear look it's not going to work as well as you think.

That's what you get for using Windows and not Lunix.

how do i use this. the pencil does not work.

I clicked and my Richard Stallman box exploded
Thanks

it sucks

HOL SHIT

AYYYY literally garbage

>implying Dobson doesn't know what he's talking about

How subtle do you have to be with the guides?

>escolher arquivo
Se fode seu bosta, Bolsonaro 2018

Hmm.

BOLONARO WILL MAKE ANIME REAL

É NÓIS QUE VOA RATUEIRA

It doesn't work for me, and automatically starts "colorizing" when I upload the image.

This is blowing my mind.

Uh, I don't think I'm doing this right.

You're too young to post on Sup Forums, Chinatsu-chan.

>choose mostly purple and grey.
>she is suddenly green

I think you're doing it righter than anyone else.

Alrighty then

how?

use a different browser, i used chrome

ohhhh shiiiiiitttt

Trump style

Does not work on firefox. Use edge or some shit.

Fuck off, botnet

I think that's exactly how it's supposed to be done

What are the Nips using?
Internet explorer?

neat but how exactly do you use the hint thing?

There were things like that before, krita can do something like it, but this is a step further.

wew.
i usually suck at coloring, and i'm not too interested in practicing it either (as opposed to linedrawing) so this is pretty interesting.

epic

I throw down a challenge

i'm happy and frustrated at the same time wtf

Not perfect, but damn, that's impressive.

huh

S-Sauce?

I love technology!

How long until this and waifu2x evolve into a program makes every piece of art better?

Will color manga become the norm?

Getting there.

...

>not recognizing Denka

I love my waifu.

Teacher at an art school here.
This robit's work would earn a passing grade. It has a future as a mediocre graphic designer, which is more than I can say about some humans.

Can you say the same about yourself

...

He wouldn't be a teacher if he was a good artist.

Someone should colorize this thread.

Not working for me. Someone try a gif

I didn't give it any colour suggestion at all and it somehow knew to colour skin peach, hair blond, and shade the folds in clothing as well as I could do

Of course. If I were better than mediocre, I wouldn't be a teacher.

>Someone try a gif
Are you braindead?

...

Just try it

Not all gifs are animated.

Looks pretty good

impossible to do hair

That was a fun diversion.

Diversion of what?
How much do you hate your life?

how long until computers can draw too?

how long until singularity?

No colour suggestion on this one whatsoever. It knows what's skin and what's hair regardless. Don't ask me how.

I'm supposed to be working but I have no work left this week.

Give it 20 years.

>skin peach
>hair blond
This robot be raciss

Color suggestion work when you put more effort or have some experience with coloring , without that you can just fuck image what without suggestion is colored nicelly

Google is currently teaching them to compose music.
It won't be long.

...

>how long until singularity?
Never ever.

The second panel is ok.
The others are shit.

Yeah I've noticed they often turn out better with very little suggestion.
It thought Obama had peach skin kek

Pretty fucking cool.

Depends of the quality of the art.

For quick anime style with not that much of shading, a few years.

For realism on the level of the actual profesionals, a very long time.

hmm

The default detection is surprisingly good though I did need to help it out a bit because it somehow got the skin color and chicken clothes color mixed up.

ok

BTFO

cool now fan colorists are going to lose their jobs

Dear lord.

It says right in the instructions that .gif isn't supported.

You could try converting it into multiple images and recombining them as a gif afterwards though.

I'm pretty sure that's the eleven's goal.

So then they can produce anime like crazy and not have the animators kill themselves working.

...

Does this make the color thread at /h/ obsolete?

This is interesting. It's programmed in such a way to give output of some sort of impressionist watercolor effect. Amazing.

I'm not sure if that means watercolor artists are hacks though, since apparently now a computer can do their job faster than they can.

>anime becomes fully automated process that only requires input from storyboard guys and the director

is that a good or bad thing assuming quality remains decent enough and each animation studio is able to retain their specific style

Not bad

Best invention since waifu 2.0
