Basics. >Guy is in pest control doing work in the area and staying in a hotel >he has a pellet gun used for work (pest control) >cops gets unsubstantiated claims about a man brandishing a weapon in his hotel room or something >Cops arrive, yell at man from down the hallway to come out of the room with his female companion >They eventually come out and are given a random set of instructions by the police. >The man fails to follow convoluted instructions >cops kill him because of this >he is unarmed
The cop who shot the unarmed man was involved in a rough arrest of some teens in a convenience store which made the news. It's unclear if the cop who shot the man was making the demanding instructions. It's unclear if the cop who killed the unarmed man fled the country or his superior.
Why do people think police have some magical sixth sense to tell if someone is lying about being drunk? I have a friend who can be completely wasted but you absolutely wouldn't know a difference in his speech or movement, only his breath.
Christopher Cox
good luck
Colton Flores
Reminder that the man hid his hands from the police twice after being told not to, after declaring he wasn't drunk despite being drunk, after failing to comply with the demands of 5-6 armed officers all aiming their rifles at him 2-3 times, after they successfully escorted a woman to safety, who was given the same orders, who performed without making a mistake.

The police created the dangerous situation and then used the situation they created as justification for killing a man. They were the instigators and should be held responsible.
Jace Barnes
Are you drunk? I never implied that. Just because he said he wasn't drunk doesn't mean it's okay to shoot him, the cop was a trigger happy bastard and no amount of >but he said he could comply! will change that. This is some precrime bullshit.

Yes but it gives us an insight into his mentality for instance from that i can suggest he's an edgy cunt looking to shoot people, just like cops talk about how violent video games were the cause of some teen who did something bad influenced him

You're implying that discharging his weapon was a mistake. The suspect appeared to be reaching for a weapon after being instructed to keep his hands in sight. That's great, but it doesn't mean he was wrong to pull the trigger, which is essentially all that matters when you're going for murder conviction here.

That's not what he meant. If cops get a call (unsubstantiated claim) they are NOT supposed to roll up with guns already out. The police issue AR-15 and even the shotgun are for special cases where the individual is known to be armed and dangerous. If cops get a call they never immediately pull out the heavy stuff.

It can be argued that having the ability to quickly see that inscription is an additional safety procedure the officer thought he needed. Plus in newkid speak: it's 'tacti-cool'.

>If police can't recognize a clearly drunk man isn't drunk then they are incompetent and shouldn't have even passed training.
Honestly arguing over whether they should believe he was drunk or not doesn't matter. These were orders you shouldn't give to a sober man. The instructions should be simple and standardized. No negative commands, tell someone to do something, not (dont) do something. No compound actions where a normal person would stop one thing to do another.
Oh yeah, and don't threaten the life of a suspect because calm suspects surrender.
Vid related, it's a normal detainment of a high risk suspect.
The guy was drunk and terrified because he was repeatedly told he was going to be shot

These bootlickers lack the ability to put things into perspective. At the end of the day we have a dead husband and father. It didn't have to be this way. The police made the situation more dangerous than it needed to be. They are responsible

American police holy shit man...... I would have been shot too, these instructions are fucking retarded. Why not just say stay on the ground and go hand cuff him. This shit is sad.
Benjamin Miller
I would say yes. Before you call me a bootlicker I'll say that I don't like the police as an institution, but their training isn't hard to understand. If they reach, you shoot. Any guy not even under the influence of morphine or something can pull his gun and shoot before you even get three rounds in him. They work the way they do to prevent wreckless shots being fired from someone who isnt trained and might not even care about collateral damage-- what if other people were down the hall behind the police? Not only that, but the police aren't paid to take a bullet. Potentially hidden weapon. Cops always take preventative measures, they don't wait to get shot or stabbed. That is procedure.
