I hate it...
I hate it
Zawa Zawa
HE HATES IT
FUCK THAT BOG ARC
How do we make S3 happen?
Pachinko was fine but I can see why people hate it. Kaiji is the only anime I watched that can make something like that engaging despite it lasting so long. The ending of the arc is pretty good too because you could see it coming but you just didn't know how bad it would be.
DAGA
I want Kaiji to catch a break
Most of Kaijis problems in the games he plays only happens because of Kaiji.
>cosigns a loan for a friend with a gambling problem
>trusts idiots with his life with no strings attached
>decides to challenge an insane gambler who probably got to where he is through his cheating, instead of just walking away with the money
>decides to take out a loan without reading the application at all because he trusts a loan shark that fucked him before
I haven't read the manga but the only arc where Kaiji came out gold was Chinchiro it's my favorite arc.
I love it.
>I haven't read the manga but the only arc where Kaiji came out gold was Chinchiro it's my favorite arc
That was absolutely satisfying to watch.
>Watched about 20 episodes about two guys trying to shoot a ball into a hole
>My aniface when it was amazing from beginning to end
...
KUYASHII
You called?
I was kinda disappointed that the subs I used translated it differently.
ANDOOOOOOOUUUU
I want to fuck that dragon.
Tense as hell as long as you didn't try to marathon it.
The problem wasn't Pachinko itself, but the pacing of the arc. It dragged for way too long and Kaiji getting desperate to then come out on top again was losing the affect on me after it happened so many times in the same arc. Most episodes of it consist of literally the same thing happening and Kaiji losing all the money at the end because of his stupidity felt very forced, I knew that would happen because it HAD to happen for the story to continue, but felt like bullshit compared to the other times he lost money in the anime, especially because it had happened so many times already.
To me S1 is SO much better than S2, it's not even funny. It's like S1 is a 9.5 whereas S2 is a 7
Well said.
SHIKASHI
He just keeps goin'.
anyone read the manga recently? He really super duper fucked up right there.
any ideas how he might recover? he won't, right?
Where can I find all of kaiji to download?
forever and ever more
Nyaa, like it's usually the case.
Bakabt for older series in general. Better than wasting your time trying ten different torrents.
Nutbladder subs are dead, can I find them somewhere else?
Imo it will end like this:
>He is utterly fucked
>Bets his life (possibly also lifes of chingchongs)
>za wa is high but he bullshits his way throught
>everyone and especially kazuya has an epileptic seizure
>Where can I find ______ anime?
Guide to finding ______ anime:
>nyaa
>bakabt
/guide
Nutbladder subs are shit, use Canzah
>mfw we lost(eliminated?) by Kaiji's own goal back in like 2012
That shit was like the anime.
so obviously kaiji will bet his and others lives and beat kazuya somehow
Do you think Kazuya is cheating? Im almost positive he is, I forget how the decks are shuffled / distributed but it would be incredibly easy to memorize the deck order beforehand.
While Hyodo doesnt cheat, Kazuya had no issues cheating during the human survival game previously.
BUY MERCHANDISE
Sell me merchandise.
I know things might seem hard right now user, but I love you and want you to succeed. We're all here for you. Follow your goals and work hard and we'll be waiting for you at the finish line to congratulate you.
he is going to die guys, and even the chingchongs
The only reason I fucking hate this show because he gets betrayed everytime after he won. Like, I know this fucker will get him backstabbed.
I might be in wrong place to say this, but would someone sellout his friends that easily for cash?
Not my extremely close friends I've known since I was a kid.
And I probably wouldn't in his shoes because being betrayed is basically killing someone and I am too good of a person to send someone to basically their death.
When are we getting a new Zero manga? I love Kaiji but I was really invested in Zero.
Also, is One Poker finished now? Just checked and the last translated chapter was called Conclusion. If it's finished I might just catch up tonight.
Are the chapters that the anime covered worth reading?
Not sure if I want to read the manga or just rewatch the anime, since the music adds a lot to the show.
I wouldn't recommend it. The adaptation is pretty 1-for-1, you've seen all there is to see. You can start the Mahjong Arc right where the anime leaves off.
That said, be prepared because the Mahjong arc is slow and taxing.
Intentionally deceptive title. It's "finished," but not really. According to people with access to the raws (several dozen chapters ahead,) One Poker is still ongoing.
...
Huh, I just caught up. Interesting.
Wonder where this is going. He's gonna beat Kazuya, right? Please?
He becomes rich in the manga.
Context?
One Poker is such a piss easy game, i guessed all the choices Kaiji would make, but i havent read what happened next in quite some time.
>tfw I'm the only one who really liked that arc
2012 Sup Forums cup, we were undefeated for like 3 seasons but then Kaiji scored an own goal and got us eliminated.
Great fun was had all in all until the mods decided to ban the threads, which was fucking lame.
The fuck? You did an Sup Forums football world cup thing? I must've completely missed that. How did it even work?
SHE HATES IT
>tfw cheating on a rigged pachinko is the pinnacle of anime
S3 NEVER EVER
We made threads to specify things like rooster, anthem and uniforms.
The games were AI vs AI, I think its still a thing look up 4chancup.
>youtube.com
>that nose on the jews
You fucking guys. I must've missed this because I find football inherently boring, but I'd like to see something like this in 2020.
>would someone sellout his friends that easily for cash?
I think that, if it were me, I'd run it by them to see if we could make more by deceptively losing. A hustle, really. But yeah, if that betrayal hurts, don't read the third part. So enraging.
>It's like S1 is a 9.5 whereas S2 is a 7
I agree if you qualify S2 as the Bog arc. Fucking Chinchirorin is 10/10.
>Dealers go twice.
Had me practically cheering from my seat.
I tried to continue the manga after the anime ended but I have no idea how the game (mahjong?) works and it got quite boring without the tense zawas and music. Is it worth powering through?
>I have no idea how the game (mahjong?) works
It's basically a drafting game with extra rules for discards and timing. You almost get a handle on it reading it all the way through, at least I did. You just need to remember the sets somewhat and trust the narration. The best sports shows you don't need to know the rules because the players sell you on the tensity.
>Sit the fuck down.
Best Kaiji moment by miles. I like both seasons equally but that moment just made me fucking scream.
Kaiji inspired me to cheat at all things in life whenever I can get away with it.
This and the moment the ball goes in during the Bog Arc are the two greatest moments in anime.
SAY IT WITH ME NOW BOYS
DID
Someone please answer me.
Is the second part of Kurosawa worth picking up or does it all just pale in comparison to the amazing, bittersweet ending of the first?
