Everything within those categories are the same racially, with small genetic shifts that cause some of the groups to have slightly different features and slightly higher intelligence. so for example before the last ice age yes its likely a group like the iranians and northern europeans were far more closely aligned but when the world cooled, the effects were felt far more in the northern regions, so over time only the lightest skinned and smartest people could survive the new climate.
