>protagonist loves a girl
>never approaches her
>only watches her from afar, until . . .

Isn't this from a hentai comic where the father goes after his son who unsurprisingly looks somewhat like a girl with wide hips and nice ass?

Get your ass back in the bedroom, son.

sound hot

I'm asking myself the same thing

This is the story of my middle school days.

Meh, unless you're reading a depressing drama there is no real reason for it. Though I have seen a few war movies, like Saving Private Ryan, were not killing someone ended badly

Yes

>Protagonist loves a girl
>"She's too good for me, man"
>Protagonist is literally a world-saving superhuman

>yuri
Lewd.

I knew it

>If you kill them, you'll be just like them.
I never understood this. Some people just gotta die and gotta be killed.

Has anything other than Kagerou Daze deconstructed this trope?

If you kill your enemies, they win

Tell that to Zod's snapped neck.

>Protagonist kills pretty much everyone

>Protag refuses to kill
>sends enemies hurtling hundreds of meters down from the sky after incapacitating them
>enemies get caught in secondary explosions
>enemies getting left to drift in the darkness of space for all eternity as opposed to getting taken prisoner
>Nobody ever calls the smug cunt out on this
>He accidentally kills someone directly
>starts crying like a bitch
I will never forgive Kira Yamato for being such an utter failure after the first time he dies.

>"The greatest of feasts!"

>Main Character doesn't want to kill someone.
>Proceeds to incapacitate their enemies.
>MC doesn't know your breathing can stop when forcefully knocked out and you die.
>MC and crew doesn't even check and just leaves the people there.
>We didn't kill anyone.

It's much worse when it does bite him in the ass.

If it doesn't bite him in the ass, the setting is clearly one where throwing a guy in jail makes him stay there. Like it should. So he's justified in not killing them because fuck, who cares we'll never see them again.

He's only a retard if it does bite him in the ass.

I wonder how many pilots of mook suits in SEED and Destiny died of starvation, dehydration of asphyxiation inside of their disabled mobile suits. If the power was out, then they'd freeze to death, or maybe not even be able to send distress calls. And there would be no feasible way to rescue all of them after the entire battlefield got littered with trashed mobile suits, with their poor pilots stuck inside with no hope of being saved.
If I was in that situation I'd either shoot myself or just open the hatch to kill myself through decompression.

With how often anime have scenes of everybody flipping the fuck out when somebody faints, you'd think japanese people know that blacking out is a big deal.

Just some dumb trend making the rounds. It will go away at some point.

>mc has the desk next to the window
>next shot shows him gazing out the window, bored

>protagonist is madly in love with a girl
>does everything he can to win her affections

it must be strange living a universe where you can buy love for 298 yen

>MC is an asshole who rapes women, kills innocents and doesn't care about anything other than his own well-being
>but he still manages to defeat demons, unify countries and punish wrongdoings

>the choices of the protagonist indirectly end up harming or killing the people he cares about due to his own selfish desire.

>protagonist is literally famous for helping others
>is in disbelief when they are told that they are the reincarnation of a hero

had that seat in school once.

Fucking hated it.

Why?

>protagonist refuses to kill
>faces an enemy that won't go down no matter what
>enemy has a condition that makes him die, earning an empty victory for the protagonist
Fucking Shishio

>MC is a Japanese teenage boy who has to save the day/world.
>Any character over 25/is grown is stupid or too old.

>best girl in the show isn't actually a girl
>or even human

>the MC can outsmart and outthink military generals and everything goes according to their plan with zero fuck ups

Lemme guess, the sun would get in your eyes?
Would it bake your seat to an uncomfortable temperature?

spoken from experience I see.

seat wasn't hot, but damn, the fucking sun at 1st period was a fucking murder to my left side of my face

>protagonist is the weakest character around
>his powers just happens to be the most effective against the villain

>MC can outsmart and out think military generals
In fairness. Not all military officers/strategist are geniuses and can get their shit fucked up.

but we wouldn't have tsun vegeta without that happening

The random thing that bugs me is that the windows are invariably on the left side when facing forward. The only exception I can think of offhand is PMMM and it's bizarre post-modern glass classrooom-cubicles.

>he's rewarded for it even

That's just how japanese schools are built.

>All the best characters are minor characters
>Their past is only hinted about and it sounds way better than the current generation of characters we have now

>protagonist choose to compliment her girlfriend's dish
>she decide to become a cook and goes to Spain for 5 years

>Schnizel made an illegal move
>Ledouch still dodged it

Not dbz

>Military organization/Military anime
>Officers are unbecoming of their ranks and doesn't exercise their authority correctly.
>Enlisted are incapable of performing their jobs properly, and are lacking in proper discipline and stability that would've got them kicked out of them in BT.
>Everyone has whacky hair colors and styles.
>Operations conducted aren't planned like how real military operations are planned.
>Teenagers are placed in CO position of a squad.
>Teenage MCs are capable of beating the trained professionals of the organization in everything they do.
>There isn't those 3-4 shits that most of the people you know hates.
>Can't even stay in fucking stay at attention.

Protagonist(s) are about to confess their love But are interrupted by comedic nonsense.
>They don't immediately continue where they left off.

Or worse.
>MC is afraid of sex or female affection.
"Wh-wait!"

>MC is a fucking beta who doesn't recognize when a girl wants to pounce on his dick

>protagonist likes a girl
>she likes him
>decides she needs to go away
>he doesn't stop here

How well do you think people with 0 experience would fare in comparison?

>MC knows the girl wants his dick.
>Is stopped by another girl/character so he cant get his dick wet.
Every fucking time.

>character drinks beer
>PAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Please tell me Japanese people don't really do this.

>protagonist is extremely powerful
>"i-im weak"

>Not letting out a big ah sound after chugging a drink down your throat like its semen.
user.

I fucking love it, thanks user you and OP the best. This is exactly what I was looking for.

I had that seat once, I pused to pull the curtain and sleep through most of the classes.
Good times.

Be he already killed enough.

This never happened.

Yes exactly, pride on the battlefield is a the suicide.

i want to kiss you !!

>Protag refuses to kill first main villain
>Later on, fighting the most evilest big bad actually behind everything
>Refuses to finish him off too
>BBEG uses the chance to take MCs friends as hostages and forced MC to surrender
>MC lays down weapons and kneels while BBEG prepares for execution, laughing
>first villain beheads BBEG
>Turns to Protag
>"You're a fucking idiot. What the fuck were you thinking? Jesus fuck"

Because nobody is left-handed, ever.

>Protagonist refuses to kill
>It bites him in the ass every time
>Doesn't stop until he befriends the villain

>protagonist uses the services of a prostitute(male)
>he doesn't drug him, or blackmail him
>they end up in a loving relationship with lots of amazing sex

>MC thinks the power of friendship, muh hardwork, and muh dreams can get them through things.
>It does.
Damn it.

Why do people bring this up?
Kira is more "I'll try to keep deaths to a minimum but sometimes death just happens and that's war for you"

>protagonist is a teenage boy
>he looks like a hero compared to his peers
>the author makes him look like a petualnt fucking child compared to an average adult

It happens all the time in shounen you retard.

>Protagonist refuses to kill
>it actually bites him in the ass
>because of his loss, he changes his philosophy

...

the nail that sticks out etc.

Japanese cold is way more deadly than a blunt-force-induced concussion, user.

You should read a bit about Buddhism, a religion followed by 90% of the Japanese.

But I thought the biggest religion in Japan was atheism.

what manga?

>the role of protagonist change to another person after long time skip
>the previous protagonist now is villain

>protagonist refuses to kill as part of his moral code
>it appears to be a mistake when a criminal he let live continues to go around doing crimes
>turns out the criminal had a daughter after the mc let him go
>if the mc had killed the criminal then he never would have fathered her
>there was an overall net positive by letting the guy live because of the value in the girls life
>the movie then shows that all of our actions are just rolls of the dice, and that consequential ethics are pointless because we don't know how those dice will roll therefore only an absolute moral code makes sense
And that's why Trigun Badlands Rumble is the perfect rebuke of consequentialism.

I wasn't much of a fan of the TV series but that sounds pretty damn great, might check the movie out some time.

Shintoism (which shares a lot with Buddhism) is considered culture, so basically you can identify as an atheist religiously but still follow Shinto and Buddhist values.
>inb4 source: my ass

>current year

>still believing space is cold

Please tell me what show does this.

Yeah, a lot of japanese casually participate shinto/buddhist religious practices without any real attatchment or devotion to the actual religions. The values of each are still deeply ingrained in the society and culture though, so the value of "killing murderers just makes me no better than a murderer" makes sense.

Space is pretty cold, user. The temperature in Outer Space is around 2.7 Kelvins.
You won't immediately freeze to death, but that's because of the near-perfect vacuum meaning there aren't enough particles around to steal your body heat that fast.

No anime comes to mind, but I'm pretty sure there are a couple. I know that Prototype and its sequel did the whole protagonist into villain thing though.

>Protagonist agrees to kill
>It never bites him in the ass

>Protagonist refuses to kill
>Keeps kicking their ass
>Doesn't stop until she befriends the villain
>Yuri follows

youtube.com/watch?v=_pnfzt-MNYE

>Protagonist does action
>all of his actions don't come back to screw him over
Lazy writing, I tell ya.

>protagonist loves girl
>girl loves protagonist
>neither of them act on it.
I fucking hate Nisekoi.

Not anime but Immortal Regis very close to the description.

>Japan
>atheism
Although, yes, technically they are not theistic, that's not what atheism is about.
They're more like that lowest tier of agnostics - although they don't exactly believe in anything, they still will absorb any occult shit.

>MC about to confess love for villain
>All of sudden a train comes between them

Every time

You fuckers need to see the light of god more often

>not wanting your father to pound your boypussy
What are you, gay?

>tfw this actually worked out for me irl

The way Prototype did anti-hero into villian was RETARDED and make no fucking sense.

>The other main character always finds herself in trouble with murderers or crazies in general
>Never learns her lesson
>In the novels she is a walking bad luck charm

Sure, it was a huge mistake from the creators to try and make Alex into a villain because of the people he killed while allowing the new protagonist to also kill innocents without repercussion, as it cheapened the whole idea.
Also the new protagonist somehow managed to be even more one dimensional, while being a whole lot less interesting than Alex.
