flip flappers is dead and gone user

COCONA!
Best episode, prove me wrong

...

...

Stop calling her cockona

> Yayaka

9-12 was Flip Flappers at its best. Shame about the first 8 episodes and the ending.

It's time to move on, come join us in the LWA or Maid Dragon threads.

FUCK OFF

There's nothing wrong with acknowledging Cocona's penis.

Best show of its season

More like Flip Flopped

Yayaka is my wife.

...

I think we are still close enough to the time it was airing and not far away enough from that time to have interested and fun threads again.

A few weeks ago some user said they were running out of stock on the tapestry, so I bought it then, but you can still order them now. Was I being rused?

What ever happened to that postcard you guys were making?

I miss these threads.

It was made and tweeted to the director. He liked it.

Link to tweet?

Why does this image make my peepee hard?
They're little girls.

Trump deleted it.

Papika is at least 19, so you're fine.

Does anyone have the cropped tongue?

Use it wisely.

Thanks, sempai.

Fantastic

What is with this shitposting? I don't see people complaining like this about the Love Live, Yuri on Ice or Girls und Panzer threads.

At least use the one that's not just lazily cut out.

So what was Papika's wish and why was it a secret? She didn't remember Mimi in episode 4, right?

>She didn't remember Mimi in episode 4, right?
Don't be silly, that would be a plothole!

...

Dare you enter my magical realm?

Her wish was to be together with Cocona.

Papika remembered meeting her in the cocktree, but Cocona didn't. Instead of spilling backstory right there, she chose to keep quiet about it, probably intending to wait until they had collected the fragments before confessing.

Remember back in like episode 4 when we predicted that one day the series would be so dead that the only way to start a Flip Flappers thread would be with >Cockona ?

Yeah. ;_;

true but madmax ep is still my fav

It was Infinite who said so, possibly to encourage more sales. That said, February 6 is order cutoff, they won't be sold after that.

Maybe they were actually running low, but just never ran out.

Coconna?

so damn fluffy

Where do you order it? Cant find it at any of the usual stores.

Probably exclusive to the infinite store. They don't ship internationally, so you have to go through a proxy buyer.

...

...

We can revive it with meme magic

No memes pls.
Would really like to see his response

Cardguy's twitter account got suspended, so I imagine his reply is gone, too.

It's not, but the original post is.

twitter.com/binobinobi/status/815037323200999425

Atrocious.

What did he even do to have his account suspended???

Sup Forums shit

>tfw you can only spend about an hour on twatter everyday and get some new fanarts as rewards.

>tits
Heretical.

It's pure illusion, I ain't gonna explain shit

Someone can post that webm where the grandma is getting rekt?

you shouldn't though

daily reminder

...

I'd flip the flaps.

Seriously?

That would explain some shit but it's still a big leap to make without much to back it.

Papika is a growing girl after all.

I think he meant Cocona. We know that Papika won't stay flat.

Got my OST disc yesterday
Now, we wait for WonFest

I've been looking for a flip flaps thread for two days and couldn't find it because control f "flip" didn't show it up.
I was ready to accept that Sup Forums had forgotten this show and I wouldn't get to see people post about it again.

There have been nearly constant threads, but they didn't get much traction. Try the actual catalog search function next time.

Just like the old times.

In case you're interesting here is a list of major yuri shows Yuniko has worked on:
>Aoi Hana (2009), orthodox yuri shoujo manga adaptation
>Kin-iro Mosaic (2013, 2015), yuribait 4-koma adaptation
>Locodol (2014), yuribait 4-koma adaptation
>Girls Beyond the Wasteland (2016), Yuniko self-inserts as a yurifag version of Saekano
>Flip Flappers, of course, Yuniko's original yuri ship
>BanG Dream (2017), mobage advert, or how Yuniko yuri-ships SKE48 members

Kinmoza is one of my favorite shows, ever.

Now that you bring it up I can see the similarities between ARISU! SHINOO!
ARISUUU! SHINOO!

and COCONA! PAPIKA! COCONAAA!

don't turn this into Katawa Shoujo General #223232

Threads for this kind of series with no new content die down, then some time later get a monthly thread of quality discussion.

I know that's why I didn't make one, figured if people had nothing to post, there was no point in making one unless I had something good to post about myself.

why she became loli again?

She really wanted to that child.

>Canned from production less than halfway through
>"Yuniko's original yuri ship"
You seem to REALLY like this hack scriptwriter who's hardly done anything notable.
I hope you realize that a scriptwriter's role in a manga adaptation is simply to copy-paste dialogue from whichever panels are blocked as part of the storyboard and trim some excess. Anime-original content in manga adaptations is handled by the director, typically in consultation with somebody representing the mangaka. The scriptwriter is nothing but a typewriter monkey, they don't even have the barest minimum of creative influence or control.

Which means of the two listed there, she only managed to finish one non-manga role without being fired. What a resume!

Bait more, the threads need your baits.

>Vol 2 shipped today

The show's over Ange

Man I'm so glad I don't give a fuck about this show anymore, almost forgot about it

You guys gotta let go, you ran out of things to discuss weeks ago

No? You got screencap?

Was all the talk of some meaning or interpretation behind Cocona passing her rabbit to Yayaka when she embreaces her love for Papika a legitimate thing admitted by the author or was that just Sup Forums over analyzing it on its own?

You know what I'm talking about.
Always found that theory interesting.

Haven't heard anything. The rabbit was Cocona's "most precious" thing according to ep5. You'd think there has to be some kind of explanation in a show filled with symbolism like this. Same for the carrot thing.

Edgy Yayaka spinoff when?

The rabbit has been interpreted as a fertility symbol, meaning heterosexual in this case, thus Cocona throwing away heterosexual intercourse.

>Edgy action adventure where Yayaka has to hunt down more people similar to Mimi, who have all their own alternate realities and the power to change the world, turns out they were manifestations of ancients entities all worshiped as gods at one point or another and different organizations want to take their power for their own and she joins a group that must stop them.

I'd watch the shit out of something like that.
But to be fair I'd watch anything with Yayaka in it.
Fun post FlFl SoL, her own romance story , or that action adventure edgefest.

Yeah that's the one.

Fertility, heterosexual, maidenhood, etc all the gets thrown out as part of the rabbit's interpretation.

Also, the carrots being phallic symbols, Mimi liked her and she chose Salt, but Cocona didn't like her and she chose Papika.

A lot of DEEP user theories or actual things the they meant to sneak into the show?

Does that mean YYK was cucked so hard she became straight?

Where did it all go wrong Sup Forumsnons?
It started out as a 10/10 but became a 6/10 by the end

Nah. It was a 8,5/10 by the end.

They just threw way too much shit in at the end, like the loli who was built up to be yayaka's replacement but then was never developed

Were you expecting her to suddenly get involved in a fight and pull off some cool shit or something?

She wasn't a main character, she did play a role showing the organization was able/willing to pop out more kids and replace Yayaka and that managed to push her to her limits a bit.
And she did bring the gun that was necessary later, and scouted pure illusion with her floating donut. She even served as a cute addition to the dynamics between the twins and had some cute interaction with Yayaka.

They also hyped up Papikana as one half of the "direct drive" and that ended up being a lot of nothing, just an audio reference if you catch it and otherwise a crazy character just acting silly.

They also didn't do much with the concept of Papika and Cocona complimenting each other with their outfits and Yayaka also being part of the RGB scheme, for a while it seemed like they were hyping it up to them being part of some greater thing and all connected but it wasn't anything like that.

Two of them romantically compliment each other but that was just it.

I was personally more let down by the lac of cool well animated action scenes between the white henshin Cocona and Papika vs black henshin Mimi. They did have a short fight and there was some stuff there but it's nothing nearly as awesome of ep 3's fight or the fight at the memory dome.
I totally understand why it wouldn't go that way given the way they had to rush the ending, and it was still great, nothing particularly sloppy I'd complain about but it was not the 10/10 ending I was hoping to see for 13 episodes of the show and that's what was sort of a let down, the best parts had already passed.
Going from such hot action to something that was warmer made it feel cold, but it was still good.

I feel like I must be the only person that gives the whole show at 10/10. I don't think the last few episodes were anywhere near bad enough to compromise the show as a whole. There was a noticeable drop in some areas, and noticeable changes in others, but nothing so holistically damning as to bring the whole package down. Even a perfect show can sustain one or two imperfect episodes, and 12 was really the only one that didn't hold up to the exceptional standards the rest of the show set

kek blah

You'er not alone, I've got the same opinion.
I'd give it a 10/10 too and that's despite being able to write down plenty of stuff I thought they could have done better and a lot of criticism for the show because the good parts were so damn good and none of the underwhelming parts were actually bad or influential enough to ruin the rest of the experience.

Ep 1 through 9 I was always left with intense feelings after an episode. They were either awesome or really sad or really happy or fun, there was not a dull moment or a bad moment at all. It was all just so good.

Between 10 and 13 there was still a lot of cool stuff, and nothing was particularly bad, they just seemed to lack the perfect pacing and solid structure past episodes had enjoyed.
But it was still good.

Overall I'd say this, 10-13 are better enjoyed as a single long episode because the pacing was not as good in a self contained way, the way they lead momentum on to a climax or deliver a satisfying note wasn't as well made if seen one by one.
And that was probably one of the show's biggest strengths between 1-9.
The balance of atmospheres and tones, and alternating the crazy stuff with some comfy moments or something cool near the end while still leaving us wanting more but satisfied for the day.

Bait, bait, bait. We require more baits.

seriously, i think that's my favourite shot in general now.

Papika made a pure illusion in the real world.

the tsunderest.

I don't see why all of the last episodes get lumped together.
Like yeah, I suppose 13 was overdone on the spectacle angle but it was all to the service of a fantastic emotional and romantic resolution.

And yeah, maybe 11 missed the mark on a few of its emotional notes, but the core of the episode was an intensely dramatic confrontation that was executed perfectly and it wasn't really lacking at any point.

And 10 has absolutely no issues of its own beyond the awkward way that the flashback was introduced.

None of these are flaws that are particularly unique to the last sequence of episodes, they're well within the scope and bar of the rest of the show. Only 12 really had obvious scenes of "sorry, the schedule collapsed" and was the only episode where the normal attention to detail was lost and not compensated for with something else (like 13's spectacle)

I still don't like them as much as the earlier episodes but i have a feeling that the gap will get smaller with every rewatch
