Millennia from now, scholars will be discussing Rebellion, holding it to equal significance of the ancient Greek legends.

true

No they won't. Millennia from now, they'll be calling it Paradise Lost 2: Electric Boogaloo and they won't even know why.

Rebellion was somewhat good until the asspull at the end, then it became shit.

New season when?

That's an affront to history as a discipline, OP. Why don't you just go kill yourself right now?

>Asspull
It wasn't an asspull at all though. Word of god stated that Homura had been in the time loop for around 100 months. Her madness is completely justifiable.

yeah, or OR they will be discussing twilight and pewdiepie videos, no mater what you think anime hardly even makes ripples in wast ocean of media we shit out every year

>only 100 months

small time.

Not that, the asspull is that she can somehow harass madoka's energy.

harness*, fuck auto correct

Imagine watching your own friend die once a month for around 100 months. Do you have a best friend?

I don't know what I'm talking about, but doesn't have to do with the fact that like Madoka, her karmic energy or whatever has been building up throughout the loops? That or the semantics of her wish lets her have this specific power over Madoka and no one else.

Cool story Homu.

...

>friend

pfft, that was hardly friendship by the end of the movie.

ay yo it was more

I go with the latter. Homura wished to have the power to save Madoka. Well, she actually decided to use it.

I am talking about pre Rebellion. There is nothing small time about watching your fried die around 100 times while being unable to do anything about it. Post Rebellion is straight up Ai Yo.

Yeah that seems to make more sense to me. Or maybe it's a combination of both, they weren't really explaining it in the movie.

Homura did everything wrong. Her "love" for Madoka was a ruse. She only cares about herself.

At the end of the anime, Madoka is omniscient. She can see everything that has ever happened in every timeline, and everything ever will. This would include the events of Rebellion. If she wasn't okay with Homura taking over, she would have picked an option whose initial conditions wouldn't have produced that outcome. Therefore, Madoka must not only have been okay with what Homura did, but planned for it. Homucifer is all part of Madoka's keikaku.

wasn't that the whole point? Homu and Madoka were near polar opposites, with Madoka's love being selfless and Homu's love being selfish.

She never loved Madoka.

what makes you say that

Homu and QB were opposites. Madoka creates a compromise.

It is funny to think that some day that anime will be some classic artform, studied by students alongside the classic novels we know of.

It is tough, yes, but if you think of it as going back and spending another month with your friend before they die it does not seem as bad. If I was given the chance to go back and see my dead friend again for a month, even if I had to witness her death again, I think I would. It would be so great just to hug her again.

Homu also had the chance to save her though which might be the real reason she went crazy. She became obsessed with trying to save her in every possible way that the two of them drifted apart.

Why don't Mods give !Bebe a permanent ban?

That's not Evangelion: 3.0+1.0

About as likely to actually come out as Madoka 4.

Who would post cute Nagisas then?

>your fried die
Do you like fried chicken?

We don't need the cheese.

Reminder that Homura did nothing wrong.

I thought Mami was the cheese though.

That would imply this movie was planned, which I highly doubt

You're so dumb. Nagisa is made from cheese. She is cheesier than Mami.

She's omniscient but not omnipotent, and didn't choose the particulars of her current form in the first place

Planned how? If you mean it was planned by Memebutcher, then no, I'm not >implying that at all.

What I am saying is that Madoka saw all the ways rescuing Homerun-chan could play out, and picked this one, for reasons we will find out if we ever get another installment.
