There is literally no argument, you are doing exactly what the author intended for you to feel, whether he also makes you laugh or not from his creepy exterior is just the effect of using him for gags to achieve laughter.

Kimura was funny only like 50% of the time. All the pedo (inb4 "IT'S EPHEBOPHILIA") jokes were shit and out of place with the rest of the show, but him just generally being bizarre and alien-esque could be funny.
His obsession with Kaorin was also funny about 50% of the time and awkward and unfunny the other 50%.
