only DIFFERENT LITTLE FRIENDS care.

post semen demons.

Fuck off spics

:^)

Shaka the man equal to God.

Saga, easily

Pandora was hot in lost canvas. A shame most of the porn is beautiful men doing each other.

I'm gonna go with "spunky" for the moment

Best Pandora was Hades Sanctuary Pandora.

>a lightning vs exploding fucking stars
you tell me jose

This.

I disagree. They hadn't gotten the kinks of her design down (either manga or OVA).

She was at least better drawn in the OVAs from that point even if they're immense piles.

Doesn't matter the spinoff-verse and the particular saint. SS's system is based on specific zodiac houses. The most special, which end up being the strongest, are always a combination of Sagittarius (Kuro's own sign), Gemini, Virgo, Aries, Libra and Leo. The closer to Kuromada's system, the more these signs will be special.

Lost Canvas was one of the few series that gave every zodiac house some needed dignity, besides of course the aforementioned usual ones.

>Sagittarius is always so special
I think you need to read Next Dimension and see the 1700s Sagittarius be so much of an idiot he believed he was a centaur and felt it was worth betraying Athena to.

Oh boy, just remembered Omega was a thing. How was gold soul btw?

Decent enough fi you're a a good old SS-fag. Maybe even watchable with no previous SS experience, as long as you don't expect too much out of it. The TV release (which i watched at the time) had mediocre animation, but from the screens I saw the BD looks pretty good.

That'd be a spoiler to me (it's okay though). Have all the gold saints appeared? I think last I checked, Hyoga just reached the Aquarius house to meet NOT-Kamus and show his superb Aurora Execution. I think only scorpio and winged-centaur faggit are missing.

Sounds good enough, thanks. It was such a shame what happened to the rest of hades after the sanctuary and the second half of omega that now I must proceed with caution.

Soul of fat was also massively advertisement for the new line of gold God cloths, as well as the the new ps3/ps4 game where they feature (also had the god warriors and some good nordic arc nostalgia).

Hilda is a semen demon and Lyfia is 10/10 waifu.

Yeah, that was great. Kurumada doesn't care about the dignity of the gold saints and that's fine. Mythological heroes were very flawed and kinda stupid after all. Hercules spent 3 years knitting in drag after his famous 12 works

>Have all the gold saints appeared?
Yes.

best girl,
Pandora is 2nd, Hilda is 3rd

>the great debate
Not really
>if you're a gemini
Saga is the strongest!
>if you're a virgo
Shaka is the strongest!

and so on

>Kurumada doesn't care about the dignity of the gold saints and that's fine.
That's what makes Kurumada Kurumada.

Everyone else is too busy trying to make sure everyone's sign gets their wank.

Kurumada doesn't give a shit.

>How was gold soul btw?
Dreadful.

Some BD fixes actually make some characters look worse (see Deathmask's waifu in this case, redrawn to look worse and rid of her eyewhites). The God Warriors are the biggest non-entities in the story of the franchise outside of the Martians and if you thought the 80s anime had 'way more plot holes' compared to the manga SoG basically drilled until it hoped to find petroleum and came back home empty handed.

>Deathmask's waifu
Piscis?

No, the QUALITY-chan in the picture on the left.

Pisces is now husbando.

Started reading Saintia Sho as well. Very nice art for the most part, at least statically.

Kyoko a best. Katya a best. Athe a sex goddess. Eris/Kyoko best/softest feet in SS franchise.

Nice waifus/10

Seriously, eye candy is the only thing to go for in this. It spends so much time trying to give focus to Gold Saints who had no business coming back for the dead it's gone nowhere.

If Eris said she was going to shlick that'd be more meaningful than what she has done the entire run thus far.

>Libra
I keep failing to penetrate this series but it's good to see that Libra is on good ground and packing heat.

I was around for the volume dumps last year. Where should I go next to continue this series?

The spin-off authors write like typical ffn.net writers. They're fans and can't leave their fangirlism at home. Even worse when Omega was made by people with zero knowldege about SS, the nostalgia pandering and gold saint fanwanking was fucking cringeworthy

I think it's been somewhat ok, as far as gold wankery is concerned. I heard some bad things about that beforehand, and sort of expected worst.

What the author doesn't even pretend to hide is her female hard on for Milo. She has managed to make him look better than Aiolia, which is almost a sin as far as SS is concerned.

I liked quite a bit what she did with Deathmask though. Couldn't help but feel nostagia faggism when seeing Seiya and the bronze saints.

Seiya is a fucking legend.

>the nostalgia pandering and gold saint fanwanking was fucking cringeworthy
How was any Omega Gold Saint fanwaking cringeworthy?

Omega killed its Leo Saint OFFSCREEN. That's the level of "no fucks given" expected of Kurumada.

They made Ikki a fucking unstoppable beast for sure. But the deal is, they didn't let "muh lore" get in the way of getting the plot going. It's the exact opposite for Saintia Sho.

I don't even like LC much because yeah, it's ALL goldwanking. But they decided that was going to be it and they started to tell that story. All of the spin-offs so far had one place to go, and then they decided to go there.

Saintia pretends it's getting to Eris sometime soon and that she'll do something. All we got so far is that Saga and Death Mask came from the death AGAIN and they waste pages doing things they have already done before while what we were supposedly getting into the manga for never happens.

>I liked quite a bit what she did with Deathmask though.
I can't bring myself to. Sure he was going to mop the floor with Erda their first fight.

Then they fought again and she wasted an entire month's chapter telling the exact same fight again.

The only unbiased choice is Shaka.

I just scrolled down to your comment. This is so on point.

Next Dimension Shaka, who can even compete with the most serene buddha?

Omega gold saints were supposed to be the next big thing but they failed at every level so Toei return to milk the original gold saints. It's so obvious they tried so hard to give them quirky personalities, tragic backstories, gimmicks and repeat the magic of the 12 Houses arc while at the same time not understanding what made it work in the first place. Protip: Treating the old guys like shit for shilling the new toys isn't the way. It may work with TFA because Disney has a huge media empire dedicated to celebrated mediocricy but Toei doesn't have the resources, neither the ambition

I'm a cancer fag, but Libra is my fucking favorite across the franchise. Unfortunately, he's also one of the fujos favorite, but I only found that out decades later, so I lived in blissful ignorance of that detail.

>I was around for the volume dumps last year. Where should I go next to continue this series?

I didn' follow that, so I take it you read all the classic manga? The classic anime is super long, but it's worthy if you enjoyed even the super dated manga. I'd actually recommend the classic anime in favour of the manga for most people.

Other than that Lost Canvas anime is very good. About 25 episodes, generic character design but very manly stuff overall, with pretty good anime that stacks well to nowday's standards. Basically another take on the Hades arc, this time going through the events of the last war centuries earlier. All the gold saints have basically the same classic designs, and the dignity and valor of every gold saint is very noteworthy.

Problem is that it doesn't cover all the manga, so if you liked you can follow the manga from where the anime stops which is pretty based too.

Saintia Sho should be airing in a couple months too.

whoa whoa whoa m8 when did sagittarius show up? when read it it was everyone but him and the 13th

>Omega gold saints were supposed to be the next big thing
>It's so obvious they tried so hard to give them quirky personalities, tragic backstories, gimmicks and repeat the magic of the 12 Houses arc while at the same time not understanding what made it work in the first place

The "Toei hoped for more 12 Cloth Myths" meme kinda needs to die at this point. Their 12 Houses trek in Omega was a completely uneven trek that wasn't even sure of what to do. Not all of the Gold Saints even had flashbacks (Aquarius didn't. Virgo didn't, he just said he was friends with Mars. Pisces didn't either, Amor bullshited that his little theater was his past to mess with Kouga and Eden) and even before the 12 Houses ended they were saying the '4 kings of Mars' were stronger than Gold Saints.

S1 basically had no idea what it wanted to be (staff members have said as much) and they shifted gears to remake the Sanctuary arc seemingly late in the game. The 12 Houses run was more of a "what the fuck do we even do" than "this is what we can expect to sell now".

And Toei/Bandai went back to Soul of Gold not just because of Omega. LoS tanked hard too and its toy line was discontinued early on the release schedule.

They had NOWHERE ELSE to turn to. Cue the no-budget ONA after they blew their wad in a theatrical release that didn't work out.

next dimension, it's a direct sequel

Did SoG make profit? I bet it did at least with the toys because that's the only logical explanation for Saintia Sho aka The Gold Saints Power Hour feat some bitches nobody care, not even the author

If you dont count muh miracles Saga is clearly the strongest character in the franchise.

Latest chapters of Next Dimension (80 and 81)

I didn't even know the manga resumed, it out in english yet?

Athena is so based on ND

The Cloth Myths seem to be selling really well, yeah.

The anime itself sold less than the Meikai/Elysium discs, which already killed half of the japanese fanbase (Hades Sanctuary sold about 13.000 units on average; Overture, 9.000; Meikai/Elysium, 5.000; SoG, around 2.000~3.000). But let's not kid ourselves, with those production values Toei probably earned back 200% of what they spent just in the anime side of things.

Side note: LC sold even worse than SoG. Around 5k at the very peak, around 1k at worst.

I don't think so, unfortunately.

>I didn' follow that, so I take it you read all the classic manga?
I fell off after maybe the second week but I liked it enough to want to go back and finish it when I had the time. Older series don't turn me off because Kinnikuman is still my jam. Those threads were the best excuse I could give myself because I've known about Saint Seiya since I was a kid but never really gave it a shot. It was funny to realize that everyone has to carry massive boxes on their backs with their gear inside of it. Reminded me of OG Kamen rider where he kept his costume and helmet in his motorcycle.

>he's also one of the fujos favorite
Glad I don't actually care about keeping up with the community at large

>classic anime
I'll give it a look.

Alright, that's the next stop then.

...

Rollin.

Thanks for the purple yoda yaoi mental image, user.

>Omega gold saints were supposed to be the next big thing but they failed at every level so Toei return to milk the original gold saints.

I got the same impression as well. I'm not aware of the Omega gold saint toys either (i know they released them for the bronze saints). Some had great designs (I liked Genbu lot).

They weren't even sure there'd be a second season. The classic gold saints are too memorable to be replaced. There's a reason almost every gold saint in the franchise is a copy pasta from their respective one in the classic series.

I wonder if the series will ever be able to refresh itself and not rely so badly on the selling point of the gold saints. I suppose they tried a bit on Omega with a new generation of bronze, and Saintia Sho tries to bring a different angle which is a bit refreshing (even if they look weak when put against some older characters).

Cancer manigorudo

Why not? Rollan

Omega did nothing wrong, i loved the Doremi/Heartcatch art.

Rollin for 0,2,7 and 10.

>We will never si FemMilo ever again.

It hurts, the movie wasn´t even that bad.

>I wonder if the series will ever be able to refresh itself and not rely so badly on the selling point of the gold saints.

I can only hope.

There's not all that much to tell if every Leo has to be some sort of prodigy or Seiya version of the Gold Saints, if Gemini is always a jerk with dual identity issues with his bad side wanting to take over the Sanctuary with the token reverse-side actual twin thrown in and so on.

And some people WANT it to always be that way.

It was a 5/10

>an actual centaur

Kek. I find it interesting that every idea Kuro has had in the past years ends up spilling across the whole franchise. I think it's pretty deliberate, as in directives for other authors in the spinoffs. In this case, not just on background totem or armor symbolism,it has to be the freaking real deal: LoS sagittarius armor centaur form, Sisyphus Gaiden also had actual centaurs in it and eventually it would appear on ND as well.

Can't say I don't like this though.

>I think it's pretty deliberate, as in directives for other authors in the spinoffs.
They've pretty much confirmed that already (Teshirogi and Kuori, when they attended a French convention last year).

Kurumada gives them a checklist of things he'd like to see done personally before letting them fly off the handle. The overlap is noticeable (Equuleus popped up in Saint Seiya Omega at the same time it was confirmed Saintia Sho was an Equuleus and not a female AU Pegasus, etc)

>Omega with a new generation of bronze

Omega was a HUGE missed chance, the idea of a new generation of Saints was great, but they fucked up in so many ways.

>Seiya and Shiryu being the only Bronze Saints that got promoted to gold.
>Seiya being alive and uninjured despite him "dying" fighting Hades
>That off--putting artstyle
>School for Saints instead of brutal training
>FUCKING ELEMENT BASED POWERS INSTEAD OF COSMIC SHIT
>Visually boring fights

>Kurumada
I hope this fucktard dies soon, he's only been shitting his own work as soon as it got popular.

> It was funny to realize that everyone has to carry massive boxes on their backs with their gear inside of it

Not the first time I've heard outsiders being struck by this particular feature. It's indeed pretty curious and striking when you think about it.

That's nice to know. Like, it's obvious as I read through the different works of the franchise.

For instance:

>female scorpio

Which goes back to , Omega actually not only broke the taboo of female gold saints, it had to happen (by design) on the Scorpio sign. Coincidence? I think not.

The additional importance of the Euileus constellation and saint, even dedicating another spinoff to it. I noticed with Omega and Sho that the Orion constellation and saint is also getting a measurable attention.

Sho also had it's version of Pallaestra, which got burned to the ground by Deathmask, so that would count as a conceptiual "Saint" academy. I actually put everything on a note as I was reading through it Sho. My autism was that big.

Is the female pegasus story yuri or female harem?

reverse harem with gold saint twinks.

Some more I noticed:

>The idea brought by Mayura that Sho is from a evil star is similar to Kouga's storyline in Omega first season
>The dark trident wearing super hot fansevice vilain (Pandora in LC and Eris in Sho)
>The seemingly immmune destiny childhood friend who ends up opposing the big bad (Sho to Kyoko/Eris and Tenma to Alone/Hades)
>Orion saint taking a noticeable part in the story (Omega and Sho)
>Saintia academy is like Omega Palaestra
>Eris new sanctuary reminds a lot Omega's first season newly reconstructed sanctuary in their own 12 houses arc, with the anti-gravity suspension thing
>Shaina making an appearance in the Sanctuary graveyard... like her appearance at the Hades saga. Feels a lot like Kurumada's artistic direction to Shaina's character
>Madness mania is like a black saint but also reminded me quite a bit of Lyumnades Caça in the classic anime
>The hugely powered-up Gemini like in LoS
>The owl and Artemis moon temple, like in ND (obvious)
>Leader of Saintias Olivia, with the owl imagery, reminds of Tenma's mom in LC
