youtube.com/watch?v=_iLXbohQOO8

I remember being 12 and buying this cd when it came out. it was after teen spirit and I thought I was so cool, but my class mates made fun of me because it had this weird insides of a human body on the cover. i fucking loved this album and would listen to it alot in my isolation.

All of it

I'm a millenial. I was probably one of the last people born who will remember a time before streaming internet pornography.

The short answer is things used to be simpler.

95-2005 best 10 years of my life.

I JUST FELL IN LOVE, WITH A BAD BITCH, TOLD ME THAT SHE LOVED ME TOO, BABY, I'M NOT HAVIN' IT

SNIFFIN' COCAINE, 'CAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE NO ACTAVIS, SMOKIN' PROPANE, WITH MY CLIQUE, AND THE BAD BITCHES

CALL ME COBAIN, SHE CAN FEEL MY PAIN, LOOK ME IN MY EYES, GIRL, WE ARE NOT THE SAME

BITCH, I MAKE IT RAIN, ON MY SIDE BITCH, SHOUT OUT TO MY MAIN, FELL IN LOVE ONCE AND I NEVER BEEN THE SAME

>Who /gen z/ here? What did things used to be like?

In the mid-late 60s we kind of got away from our handlers for a while, but when Reagan was elected things got worse and worse and worse.

youtube.com/watch?v=PHjpWo4edfw

just like this

Cereal used to taste really fucking good. I don't think I can provide an accurate timeline for when it went down hill, but up until like the mid- to late-90s cereal used to be much more flavorful. Now it tastes almost waxy and feels like styrofoam being crushed in my mouth when I chew.

That's pretty much the only difference when you take into account social trends being cyclical.

Young millenial here. If I was any younger I would probably be Gen Z.

The nineties were OK. Good memories, things got bad really quick in the 2000s though. We had white flight and then the recession. Things have never been the same

Show me where I asked you fuckin' bitch.

Got some nice clips there fella.

Born in 82
We used to headbang to GnR and ride our bikes across the highway to the 7-11 where we would get a ton of nachos.
We dared eachother to eat the jalapenos, and whoever chickend out had to do our chores for the day.

GenX, it was shit, the 80s were shit, the 70s were boring.
The 90s were fake.
Unless you had money times were about as crap as they are now.

It really doesn't end. Pick any time before today and you'll find truckloads of real positivity, not the faggoty ass racemixing commercial shit they push today. Something real and shared by everyone. They had acknowledgement of struggle but something in life to look forward to.

Born in 86 here.
I feel like my generation pioneered the internet I'm probably wrong but thats how it feels to me.
We use to download PC games to our computers by having to use MS-DOS
There was no online gaming at all other than maybe a shitty chess game but no one I knew played them.
There was no hanging out online, you had to do it in person and a lot of times kind of do a little planning since there was no cell phones
When the house phone rang you fucking ran and answered it because you had no idea who it could be
The middle east seemed like a lot further off land.
Countries all seemed to have defined cultures from my perception anyway. French Toast ect. My teach in 7th grade use to show slides of his travels to Europe it seemed like such a majestic place to visit
Now it just seems like a hell hole I'll probably never go to, I hope I'm wrong
Music wasn't too bad, pretty sure they were the gay 90's for a reason, everyone seemed to be doing fine and happy but super blue pilled on everything.
Their viewpoints we would consider "redpilled" were just innate ways of carrying out life and a by product of culture vs thought out arguments
Toystores were the shit, always looking for new toys at the local toy store.
No online shopping
No email addresses
It was a small world user, I myself can hardly remember what that mindset was like.
I got internet at age 13 and didn't have a cell phone until 18. Most kids didn't have a cellphone that I knew in 2003.. lots more in 2004 and most had one in 2005.
youtube.com/watch?v=AIEKYug0lSg

The good old days, truly. I wish it were as simple as taking a hammer to my smart phone, but the whole world runs on smart phones. Back in my day, there used to be telephones on every quarter and you had to put in a quarter to call anybody. And you called a number that rang their home telephone, that their whole family used. You'd have to talk to siblings and parents if you wanted to chat with your buddy. It was comfy. There was no internet to speak of for ordinary kids. It was mostly academic sites or news. Porn was basic, took forever to load, and was more of a last resort for kids who couldn't snag a Hustler or catch fuzzy softcore on TV. TV was big shit. My buddies and I would sit around on the phone and watch TV after we had to come home for the night. It was a trip, basically. We didn't even need phones aside from having curfews. Everybody would just meet up naturally, no need to text or any of that. There were just places to be, and if you wanted to hang with anybody you'd just ramble round the neighborhood knocking on doors.

Videogames were goddamned great. Usually taking turns at single player. There wasn't much multiplayer. Goldeneye was lit, though. It was an automatic party if you knew anybody with 4 N64 controllers.

9/11 and the internet basically ruined the world. It's likely that we'll acclimate to it in the coming decades, but it was a golden age of humanity. Specifically "of humanity" and humane things. Technology was different. Nerds spergs over new Windows releases. Kids were zany for new toys. But there were limits on the power of technology such that it always seemed to exist for us. Now, we exist for technology. Uncle Ted was right.

>white flight
I thought that's been happening since the 60's.

At least the class divide wasn't as bad. If you look at my generation it's obvious. You have half of us popping pills and being typical degenerate Gen X spawn, and a rich, entitled half that were raised by boomers.

Gen X fag here. Started HS when Nevermind came out. It was cool. All the music was exciting and inspiring. Even the stuff I didn’t buy was more entertaining Movies were better too. No one knew about all the horrible stuff happening. So we just talked about fun shit and had a good time. And no phones in your face all the time. Simpler times. 2008 shit started getting progressively boring and bad.

I graduated high school in 85. It was a completely different planet than the one I live on now. Can't begin to explain how much worse it is now.

The internet changed everything and smartphones took it to a whole new level. Everything is fucking INSTANT now and the abundance and accessibility of media is fucking mind boggling. We used to have to rent tapes if we wanted to watch a movie. Drive three towns over to buy some specific niche product, or order it out of a catalogue/magazine. No Torrenting, Netflix, Amazon, etc. etc.
It frightens me that there are now legal adults walking around who never experienced the analog world.

Born in '53. I can definitely remember 58 and 59. My mother taught me to read by the time I was 4. I have an IQ of 134. The 50's were an amazing time. Something died in the 70's. We had so much potential and everyone wasted it all on the most imbecilic hedonism. The disco generation were absolute scum, feral treacherous fools. The yuppies of the 80's actually outdid them as vicious venal lowlifes. I can't hate them too much; so many came to bad ends. By the 90's and naughties you could see nothing good was going to become of us. There's an actual hostility to intellectuals, the goons are in total triumph. Fortunately I no longer care as I've put myself in a place now where I never have to really deal with them again, but it's getting bad, very bad. Bad as in being a participant in Napoleon's retreat from Moscow or maybe Hitler's army getting surrounded at Stalingrad. I intend to enjoy myself in the utmost privacy and ignore the coming deluge. If it becomes intolerable somehow with all the Somalis and gypsies etc or if I get cancer I'll just eat my gun, content in the knowledge that I won't be missing anything of any value.

>90s
>no email
one time my isp (they were local back then, unless you had aohell ) called my dad then they scolded me for sending an email bomb to someone at school

Nice, have a (You)

90s were best

Email has been around since the 70's, even. You just had to be at a uni with arpanet access.

It was a time before the internet when you couldn't have your question answered by me on the other side of the world. The world was a much bigger place back then. (born 1980)

>By the 90's and naughties you could see nothing good was going to become of us.

This. I choose the late 90s as the time when things became irretrievably toxic.

People see being scum as a virtue now.

Ditto bro, minus the isolation.

My twin brother and i were about 11 when teen spirit came out. We used to get up on saturdays and wait for the video of it to come on Rage.

>Still loves Nirvana to this day

Was the last real rock star.

So glad I lived through that, I've never seen anything like the seattle/alt rock scene in the early 90s since then

>We use to download PC games to our computers by having to use MS-DOS

Wrong, had to unzip 32 3 1/2 floppy disks to install Rise of The Triad

1991 to 2001 were fucking awesome

Get fucked, boomer.

It was ok up until around 2001, then it got worse at a steady pace until around 2009, at which time the degeneracy accelerated at an increasingly alarming rate.

respect your elders you little faggot

The 00s were shit, don't listen to the fags itt, Bush-era hatred of Americans abroad, fedoras everywhere and massive nigger culture seeding
The 90s were the last good decade

So your gonna just give up in your twilight years while the honorable young white ones are fucked in every way?

yeah i think after the kikes did 9/11 it was pretty much a downhill ride until the god emperor. i miss not knowing that half the goonies got raped in the ass. we'll definitely hit full weimar before long. we used to shitpost irl outside more often, and poke dead stuff with sticks instead of just visiting ll or rekt threads.

The 90's were super boring. And that's a good thing.

May you live in interesting times OP.

everything turned to shit in america once obama was elected

- niggers burning shit down (surprised to learn it happened during civil rights since im only 20 something)

- anti-white hate propaganda. it began with shit like buzzfeed and cancer millennials

- we've had open borders since the 1965s . chicago used to be whiter. now its full of mexicans

the 90s were okay but the nightmare that followed, it feels like im living in hell

lil pump's death was good for society

meh, it was the end of rock and roll
the writing was on the wall. He was just another copy.

Thanks to you know who

>Put a pic of the main responsible for the rock demise
kys

blowjobs and bike rides, my dude. blow jobs and bike rides 24/7.

I can think of one who was one of a kind.

Born in '73. It feels like some evil force has cast a spell over humanity and they're all bent to it's will and sleepwalking every moment of their lives. I spent a good chunk of the early 2000's in remote isolation returning to society around 2008 so the difference is much more noticeable. People aren't the same. People. Knew for years changed. People don't feel like people anymore. I try to pass it off as the difference that some facet of technology made but it still doesn't feel right. When ever I'm around too many people for too long I get this sinking feeling something very strange and very bad happened.

You are witnessing the spiritual decline/ death of the human soul, as it seems. good post.

angsty. this is it, the apocalypse

you're right in time

>he thinks peace was ever an option when Jews imported niggers as slaves and then opened the gates to the barbarians

okay, okay.... some of it was decent.
youtube.com/watch?v=PE5f561Y1x4

What does this mean and what causes this? This feeing has been strong enough for me I'm willing to entertain just about any explanation.

I think people are neglecting their spirituality since they've become the commodities of their digital masters.
It's why I refuse even a cell phone... I've been watching from my post.
