Give me a good fucking reason why you oppose Net Neutrality. No mention of reddit, no mention of doing it because you're a contrarian and want to look cool.
Give me a solid argument why.

I don't know, really. I've just been told stern uplifting speeches about how all of the fearmongering images that have been spread around the internet, and Sup Forums being blocked in the U.S isn't what's going to happen. I hope that's the case at least.

Me want $
ISP want $
I give ISP $
Now ISP want more $
But I don't have more $

i dont care either way

Why would any non-burger give a fuck either way?

Because I love you! I love you and want to run away from all of this with YOU!

...

Well don't come here, NZ has never had net neutrality
Yet we still have better internet than ausfags

But I... I want to make INTERNET ISP BABIES with you!

Post feet and I'll consider

I unironically support NN
The reason I support it is simple and I will explain in detail why I don't oppose NN

1. There are too many normies on the internet
2. normies ruin everything
3. remove normies from internet
4. everyone else gets screwed because normies won't leave
5. everyone is unhappy
6. when everyone is unhappy I'll be happy
7. I have other hobbies besides the internet and cable television
8. I'll be just fine with the bare minimum
9. hopefully Sup Forums, reddit, and any other cancerous site will lose traffic or be completely shutdown
10. I'm sure the internet would be a better place overall if less Americans used it

So what is wrong with destroying NN?
If you take it all into account this will improve the internet worldwide

C U T E

One more day and these shills will have to find a new topic!

You see, NN is supposed to hand over the internet to the gubmint. You'd think our free speech gubmint with it's free speech constitution would ensure free speech on their internet. That hasn't been the case. The gubmint hasn't done jack shit to keep thedailylarper from being blacklisted from the ISPs.

Now, the number one stated reason for repealing NN is to foster an environment where new ISPs could be formed. Maybe these new ISPs believe in free speech unlike Comcast or Google. You ever use your head to think?

AT&T supports free speech.

NN helps to keep the net from being monopolized in a monetary fashion.

I'm so scared. Pai is going to see all of my panty wetting porn. WHY ME?

The biggest problem that new ISPs face has nothing to do with censorship
Their existing competition is simply too big to compete against, offering higher speeds and lower prices
Even google couldn’t really hack it because infrastructure to create higher speeds is really expensive

Getting rid of NN isn’t the solution
Like with the ACA, we should just be building onto it instead of getting rid of it and scrambling to find something to fix the harm done

I always vote against government control; the government should not be moderating the internet or making it "neutral".

Build onto the ACA

Yeah you need a heli ride bro

Take a room with a certain amount of square feet. You sell square feet. You only have a limited amount of square feet, so if one person uses a lot of square footage you'd charge them more. Net neutrality makes it so that instead of charging the big person more, you charge everyone the same, so people who don't need as many square feet pay more.

Maybe millenial women won't spend 8 hours a day watching fucking Netflix if they get charged out the ass for streaming 30 terabytes of data a month

Paid “packages” are unlikely to happen. It’s bad PR and going to add a level of bs neither side wants to deal with. Bad PR up to a certain level will catch thr goverent’s attention. (Look at the phama industry). What is more likely to happen is throttling and blocking which has happened before.

I grew up with the internet. I could not view competing isp websites as a kid because they loaded so slowly (everything else was fine). I’ve had my bandwidth reduced to 56k levels after turning on torrents. I’ve had things straight up 404 while pinging the sites was fine. Things like that aren’t immediatly apparent and a hard to pick up. I have no doubt that without NN there will be a lot of behind the scenes work to control traffic/stream quality caps to push people away or towards selected services.

Honestly if these corporations were morale and sincerely had the consumer’s best interest in mind, we wouldn’t need it. They do have the ability to stifle otherwise well intended promotions (tmobile freestreaming netflix) but that isn’t the case. There’s more evidence that unregulated telecom will simply cut off access to competing services or try to dictate what is ok based on their own costs more than anything else.

Netflix is going to reflect the cost in their price, but it’s not going to be by much
And, to stay competitive with the multitude of streaming services that ISPs are going to slip out or currently own (hulu by time warner), Netflix is going to just offer more stuff. Like, you know how Netflix libraries vary by region? No longer

Notice how it’s everyone complaining about Netflix and not Hulu
Hulu won’t have to change because the ISPs won’t have to pay for the best internet

>Give me a good fucking reason why you oppose Net Neutrality.
Because as much as I distrust private corporations, I distrust the government even more. Sure, right now they have a blanket "treat all data the same" policy, but eventually that's going to change. Eventually they'll have some excuse for using the authority we've given them under NN to ban certain categories of data, and at first it will be totally reasonable. But quickly they'll add more and more to the list of shit they ban, including wrongthink sites like this one.

That doesn't mean I want my ISP banning or throttling content: obviously I don't. But if my ISP does that I can just get another, and if no ISP offers me what I want I opt out entirely and stop paying them. I'll never have that option with the government.

Why support it? By default the internet is unregulated and it has been until 2014, why does the government need to get its hands into everythign?

>so people who don't need as many square feet pay more

Except those people don't exist.

Because I despise communist party commisars google, facebook and twitter censoring any speech they don't like because muh private company but ISPs are literally Hitler because they want to charge Kikebook money to keep the normie adbux flowing

those millennial women are small fries. They pay a little more than they would without NN (theoretically, probably not quite this clear cut in practice), and after NN they'll pay less so they'll use pretty much the same amount of data.

Nothing can dissuade the eternal millennial women from spending 8 hours a day watching documentaries about serial killers who they secretly wanna bang

You are the person who doesn't need as many square feet. Netflix is the one using like 33% of bandwith

Wheres a good starting point for someone want to get into this panty wetting porn?

ISPs exist in an oligopoly that are likely to enact the same changes across the board simply due to agreements that allow them to control specific regions, aka regional monopolies
It’s why there may be just one actual choice for internet providers in any given area

It’s very unlikely that one isp will be the only one to block a certain type of content
What’s more likely is that one will try to throttle that content without you being aware of it

Which is why NN is a good thing

What you should be fighting for is subsidizing broadband connections by making the newer technology more readily available. This has been lobbied against by ISPs countless times because it hurts their hold over the market and allows for newer ISPs

Trust me, I've been on the lookout for high quality panty wetting for free. I don't care if the loading speed is Windows 98 tier at this point. I need to look at women having accidents in their panties because it's delicious!

i wanna invest in comcast desu

I want to invest in an ISP that will give me cheaper rates if not straight up free internet but only if I routinely fap to panty wetting. Have any suggestions?

I agree with all of that. But again, that's not a reason to hand over the keys to the government; giving them a literal monopoly over our content isn't an improvement over the ISPs' near monopoly.

>normies normies normies
Maybe you should consider removing yourself instead

I don't care either way. if we have net neutrality, the government will blast me in the ass, if we don't have net neutrality corporations could blast me in the ass, however, I don't see the incentive in it for them to put each site in a premium package, it's inconvenient and there isn't a market for it.

I do find it entertaining though how NN alarmists complain about the lack of ISP availability, while not realizing the irony that NN does nothing to incentive a solution to solve that.

Creating maximum butthurt was always the goal
Better business practices be damned, if someone cries then it was all worth it

>Trump disemboweled me with his bare hands?
>Oh well, it made a liberal cry!

>>Oh well, it made a liberal cry!
they wouldn't though
