it just doesn't make sense that they're keeping this shit a secret. It's like discovering the wonders of electricity, except instead of making it a quality of life improvement for all of mankind you instead decide to just keep it as an "art" for electricians who are basically the new witches of the modern era because no one else knows how to light a fucking lightbulb or work a calculator.
Same thing with Little Witch Academia, the setting treats it as though no one tried to at least prove the practicality of magic and instead just kept that shit to themselves like a seekrit kool klub for witches only resulting in them saying "fuck you" and instead using electricity to do everything for them.
