Manga ideas

Do you guys ever come up with shitty, or interesting ideas that would make decent manga? What do you think would be a cool story if drawn by the right people?

I had an idea after watching Trigun for the first time, about a gunslinger that can only shoot things with bullets that ricochet of something, and cant shoot in a straight line for shit. I thought it was hilarious, imagining him setting up a street sign in the middle of a gunfight then running back to cover

I had an idea about a comedy/hentai of a working girl and the struggles and adventures of the nightlife. Or a male escort who keeps getting mundane jobs instead of dates. Not because he's ugly or non-sociable but his first client thought he was a handyman and recommended his friends to him.

Imagine punching somebody so hard that they turned into a door. Then you found out that’s where ALL doors come from, and you got initiated into a murder club that makes doors. The stronger you punch, the better the door. So there are like super strong murderers who punch people into Venetian doors and shit.

that escort one sound really funny

I have but I wouldn't tell in this site.

hey guy, shitty ideas or not, they're all welcome. I just want to see if anything you guys say is funnier or more interesting then my shit

I was thinking of those time travel series like Erased, New Saga, Again, and TDG where the MC goes back to his past body with all his memories intact

but rather than the MC being that way it's the love interest, so the femMC (and the audience) has to paste the mysteries of what happen to the MC that caused the sudden mood swing while MC goes all yandere to "not make it happen again"

Slice of life of /fit/ not danbuuro though.

holy fuck guy, I'd watch that

why the fuck not? it's fucking Sup Forums, everything is anonymous, is your self-esteem so bloody fragile that even the vaguest criticism can cause your entire ego to come crashing down in a burning hell-scape?
Are you also the sort of person who keeps to himself in real life and and doesn't socialize, hoping to god that one day somebody will 'work up the courage' to talk to the cool silent guy that you are?

People like you are the absolute worst. The kind who withhold meaningful conversation just to cling to whatever shitty pride you've deluded yourself into thinking you have. Well newsflash pal, you're on Sup Forums, and Sup Forums of all things, so you better start acting like it.

What are you talking about ?
It's just that my ideas are too good, I might make money.

nice pasta frogfreend

Pffthahahahaha

What about a story with a really cliche start, like, "Legend says that a hero will rise and defeat the demon king" or something stupid, but the hero dies and the guy carrying all his enchanted bullshit and healing potions has to take his place

yuusha ga shinda went even better with this

Aw god damn it, I thought i had something there. But hey, atleast I got some slick reading material, right?

The MC is a 28 year old loli baba who works for an office company. The manga is centered around gags about her height, getting drunk and trying to get laid. Her office friend is a big breasted OL who has a 10 year old son that develops a crush on the MC.

Wish I could remember more ideas that anons were spitballing in that thread, but overall this is what it was about.

You remembered what you could, and thats what mattered
good job user

I don't think it's pasta, kermit was used in a post similar to this, but certainly not the same words
pic related

I can't tell you mine because it's so good someone would steal it.

Two stories start at opposite ends of the book and converge in the exact middle.

Story about super strong and respected wizard who foretold a prophecy that a hero will rise to defeat the BBEG demon.

But the whole prophecy is a sham and just used so that the human countries can unite against a common enemy. This worked for a hundred of years so and there have been no wars between any humans.

Demons got a little stronger. To counteract that, the wizard summons the hero to balance things out. Turns out, the hero is too OP and could easily destroy the demons.

And never hearing the term "two wrongs doesnt make a right", the wizard summons ANOTHER person to counter the hero.

Story is about the second summoned guy to act as a demon lord that will just "lose" just the right amount against the hero. Throughout the story, the demonlord guy just uses cliches to give the hero a better chance like "Haha this is interesting" when he's not even using his full power, pretending to lose as soon as he hears the phrase "my friends got my back", etc etc

Hey man. I'm gunning for my own stuff, I didnt make this thread to rip you fags off. I'm just curious I guess if people like to think up the kind of stuff I do, or if their shit is better and I need to improve

ya sure do

yo holy fuck that's slick, I'd be so down to read that actually.

It's a mecha manga that doesn't include teenagers as their aces.

then who's the ace? Some middle aged guy with a receding hairline?

a story about A girl with invisible flesh and muscle, making her a skeleton in cute clothes and invisible curves

just living her every day life the best she can

I have three ideas for doujinshi or at least web comics that I want to do some day, but just the writing process is a drag and the ideas are either unoriginal or need a lot of work.

1) A super-powerful alien being attacks earth in the far future. This being is eventually defeated, taken captive, and held in the kuiper belt until scientists can come to a conclusion on whether to exploit its abilities for science or destroy it. What no one bothered to do was ask the alien why it was attacking earth. Ends up the alien was attacking earth because it was trying to find something hidden inside the planet that would prevent a catastrophe on an intergalactic scale between the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies. Story is presented as a monster-of-the-week adventure series from the POV of a mining engineer who decides to help the alien stop the catastrophe from happening, and they end up going on time travel adventures and other fun stuff.

2) A service android is installed with the first ever true AI and must understand what it is to be human to tap into its true potential to (hopefully) prevent it from wanting to destroy all human life when it gets there. This is presented as a slice-of-life series from the POVs of the android and its handler.

3) Guards in a medieval high fantasy city are tasked with protecting an inter-dimensional gate used to transport foreign dignitaries and people from other realms. The story would be fairly minimal and presented as a kind of moment-by-moment recounting of events, so this one would benefit more as a webcomic.

I used to guard the ideas very closely, but honestly they probably either already exist or I'll never end up finishing and publishing them. I'm okay at art but I'm an atrocious writer.

Hey guy, I think just because the original idea may have been taken, it doesnt mean you cant create it in your own words, right? if written the right way, and with enough polishing, even the most blatant rip offs can go down in history as great works, it's all just how it's worded. But that's just my gay opinion or whatever

Has there ever been an Alien invasion anime?
or a Biohazard end of the world?

I have 2 ideas, one is very stupid but fun (?) And the other might be pretty cool and interesting if I create a good story to match the setting I created.

1.- Comedy slice of life in a popular bar in the city where all the main cast are anthropomorphic versions of popular beer styles, liquors and cocktails.
Main character is Lager-san and she's kind of bland but almost everyone likes her and it's very reliable and kind to everyone.
The series idea would be very comfy while teaching readers about food + alcohol pairings.

2.- The world is facing an invasion from creatures that come from the underground and from the depths of the sea. These creatures are not always necessarily big but are agile, fast and very resistant to conventional artillery.
The military is able to push them off but still warfare is pretty difficult.
Some crazy create highly powered suits and small mechas that can overpower the specs of the creatures but the program fails due to the high energy consumption these powered armors use.
Then later some guy discovers a way to genetically modify the DNA of humans with electric eels. Now the pilots have the ability to create the power the suits need to operate. Also pilots are full grown militarised adults.

Yes but thet are pretty shit.
I do enjoy the act of writing itself though.

I love all of those ideas please make them both a reality I will give you 87 canadian cents

Hey man, I created this thread for shit ideas to be shared with the best ideas, you dont have to share them if you dont want to, I cant force you, but know that you're in an environment where everything is ok to share

A story about a mary sue hero on his way to slay the bad guy demon lord of whatever the fuck, but through shit luck and comedy keeps doing atrocious acts like genocide of elves and getting noticed by the demon goon, to the point where he becomes a general

Right. It's so generic it hurts though
The setting is in the victorian-like era, after a war against eldritch beings. It was a pretty tough war for all the races in the world that were involved because these eldritch creatures were pretty much immune to firearms, and you can only harm them by dumping magic on them, which wasn't exactly easy because not all people could do magic. These creatures were repelled, but not completely destroyed.
The story basically follows the reconstruction after the war with the MC that even if he can do a type of magic, he is weaker than the people that could properly fuck up these creatures. Nevertheless, he gets hired from one of the higher-ups that after the war took power, so he is mainly an agent for him.
What I am focusing more when I'm writing is characters and character interactions and how to not get tricked into using asspulls when writing an underdog character.
It's pretty fun.

A group of thugs kidnap a girl for the ransom money, but realize soon that the girl is actually just a really cute boy. Through stockholm syndrome or whatever the group puts it behind them and become total bros. When cutie goes to school accompanied by street thugs people start rumours about how he runs a gang, but in actuality he's just a dense kid who's too innocent to know he was even kidnapped in the first place

Like OnePunch Man, except instead of being unbelievably strong, he's unbelievably lucky. Every time he beats his opponent through luck, the narrator explains what cosmic coincidence happened, with each one being more convoluted than the last.

Eventually his luck runs out in the penultimate battle, when the parallel universe versions of himself whose luck he unintentionally stole gang up on him, and he's shot in the chest and left for dead. Only for the narrator to reveal that he was born with Situs Inversus, a condition that puts all your organs on the opposite side of your body and, since it has no other medical ramifications, can go undetected for your entire life.

Afterword he works things out with his AU counterparts and sacrifices his luck for them. In the end, they all team up to fight the final boss and he finally wins a fight through pure skill.

Yo, actually...that sounds pretty hype, if you write it good. it may be generic but could be so sick if you put your own spin on things. I think with good supporting characters and a well rounded story that would be something someone might pick up if you push it enough. keep at your writing man, I believe in you!

I've been saying it alot in this thread, but its because you guys have some good ideas! I really like it alot!

>Everone loves ussy but nobody likes the luggage that comes with it
>MC is a smart man and realizes this
>Sets up a service where people can rent pussy for a certain price
>Arcs are about he expanding the business and beating off the competition to foreign lands/races

Add some fantasy to the mix with moe

I really, really like the first one.
Would binge read the second for hype fights

An idea came to mind where I thought of scary deep sea ocean creatures, where like, the deeper you go the more off setting shit you find. But what about if you swapped the ocean for a forest? Like, you start off on mountains that are more or less islands, surrounded by heavy greenery. people would hunt close to the mountain bases, but the deeper you go into the forest, the darker it would get, and the bigger, and scarier shit would appear. Like, say, A giant Deer, where you could mistake it's giant legs, covered in brush, for trees. and filling the forest with all kinds of creatures just off of the imagination, like, i dont know...Hermit crabs that flock to old battle fields, and scavenge old pieces of armour for their shells. It's not a totally roughed out idea, but it's something i think about

Yo, that sounds kinda funny. A high school skeleton girl with clothes that fit onto a body that's not even there.

No, I can only copy things I've already seen.

So MC can't get laid because everytime he meets with a client he has to do some handy work/save someone/solve a riddle etc?

>Then later some guy discovers a way to genetically modify the DNA of humans with electric eels.
We tried this already, it didn't work.

Basically legend of Zelda

That was a totally different approach dude

Short slife of life clips/4koma of a girls' breakroom in a soapland.

If Saki and Akagi taught me anything, it's that every idea is good if drawn by the right people

Completely agree with that.
The execution is way more important than originality.
If a good original idea has poor execution, a bland cliche with superb execution can easily outshine the other.
