I read his book about "The Fouth Political Theory" and, despite that his approach in this book is very philosophical und metaphysical, it offers a lot of good ideas. Sperating ideas and concepts of 20th century ideologys, like national socialism, communism and at least something from liberalism. All in a abstract manner though. Of course Dugin has in some ways a more esoteric and religious approach, but I can live with that. Most important is his campaign against the deranged individualism in the liberal democracies.
In one of his early book "The Foundations of Geopolitics" (which is only avaliable in Russian, couldnt find an English speaking translation anywhere), Dugin explaines how Europe should be put in order.

Kaliningrad oblast could be given back to Germany. The book uses the term "Moscow-Berlin axis". France should be encouraged to form a "Franco-German bloc" with Germany." Even though this probably one of the strongest forms of russian nationalism and Dugin says Russians should have the leading role, it offers an alternative way for Europe. I dont think Europe will become anything like independent if it keeps ties with the US at all. Aligning ourselves towards this concept of a all Eurasian Federation sounds like the best for the most. Of course there is enough of his ideas to dismiss, but the whole concept in its generals ways sounds reasoned.
So, why does he have so little support and many doesnt even know him? Eventough one of our GreenMPs wanted a travel ban to Germany and others (in the US eg) label him "one of the most dangerous man".
