Sera a shit.

...

Here's your reply

Case Closed is a valid name to refer to that one shitty American dub and nothing else.

Nope

crunchyroll.com/case-closed

Overrated smelly boy.

>dub

Case Closed is what it's called in the western market in countries that matter. I call is Detective Conan but I wouldn't care at all if someone called it Case Closed.

Crunchyroll is an American company isn't it?

I worry about you.

I would sell my soul to be able to smell this boy.

Doesn't matter.
Detective Conan is official english title.
Case closed is official American title.
There is a difference.

Why are there two threads?

Who cares, it's still shit. Doesn't even deserve attention.

Should I read the Viz scans or the fan scanlations?

Preemptive replacement to the one past the bump limit.

Why is there a problem?

One is on autosage and one retard in that thread is being autistic as fuck thinking that Sup Forums likes dubs so he made a second thread.

Detective Conan is the international name.

/vg/ mentality
>HELP THE THREAD IS ON PAGE 1 IN BUMP LIMIT WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO NOW???? QUICK MAKE 10 THREADS

Yes.

Even if there's a difference they are both valid ways to refer to the series.

You should learn what a word means before starting to use it.

Detective Conan is not the official English title. There is no official English title.

That is true. Technically.
However one will invite reasonable discussion about waifus and the other will invite shitposting like that going on.

OP to other thread here.

Can someone make a general I can copy and save so I can make general threads for conan? Is that allowed?

Should have important links to torrent list, wiki etc etc

Viz, definitely. They're cleaner and more accurate. A lot of the fan translations are just awful.

It's not allowed on Sup Forums. Maybe just make a pastebin or a link that's easy to remember, that would work better.

Conan threads are better when we have a break in between them. We don't need a general.

This.

Same person here.

Also I regret saying its ok to call it Case Closed.

I only said that in the first thread since normies might not know what Detective Conan is, but fuck them DC is a much better name

>edition

>invite
Nope. Anyone call call the series whatever they want. If someone shitposts about it, we blame the shitposters and no one else.

The last thread was the first long DC thread we'd had in a while, and it was garbage.

Oh hey its the guy from the first thread that speaks for everyone on Sup Forums like its a hivemind.

>Should have important links to torrent list, wiki etc etc
Why?
The JoJo threads did that, and the JoJo fanbase is horrible now.

Didn't the official English translations change some of the names?

1. Sera is shit. She is literally the worst kind of person both in appearance and in mannerisms

2. Haibura is the best girl, no question asked. She is a smart red-pilled matured women while also in a prime loli body

3. It's called Detective Conan you faggots

And this thread will be garbage because it was created to spite the first thread.

I feel like there were a bunch of people in there who aren't normally in Conan threads that derailed the entire thing with ridiculous arguments.

>Anyone call call the series whatever they want.
so i can call it "le epic adventures of le detective jimmy meme" right?

I thought it was Meitantei Conan?

Hey I made that thread fuck you.

Because of that thread I learned the wiki had a list depicting the important episodes which was neat.

Does anyone have a link to the new remastered episode 1 special that just came out?

Well, you were wrong. Too bad.

OP here. Thread was made because there was some form of discussion instead of the thread usually dying early.

Whether it would have done that past the bump limit is beyond me, but here we are.

Well you were wrong then weren't you.

1. Sera is literally the best girl in anything ever.

2. Haibara is overrated but still pretty good.

3. Call it whatever you want

>I only said that in the first thread since normies might not know what Detective Conan is, but fuck them DC is a much better name
Most normies don't watch anime.
Most normies don't browse Sup Forums.

No one refers to Detective Conan as "Case Closed" unless they're part of that really weird subset of weebs that prefer dubs over subs unconditionally (they do exist, and they're weird).

>normies

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

> that really weird subset of weebs that prefer dubs over subs unconditionally (they do exist, and they're weird).

Does that really exist?

Whats there argument on FMA: Brotherhood dub over subbed?

They did, so it is a trade off. Personally, I can handle mentally changing "Jimmy" to "Shinichi" if the trade off is me getting clean scans and accurate translations.

With a series like Detective Conan, what's even the point if you can't understand the mystery? Too many fan translations fuck up technical stuff that's important to following the action along.

>Does anyone have a link to the new remastered episode 1 special that just came out?
It's on nyaa or nibl. Search "detective conan one".

The argument for every show they prefer dub over sub is "I watched it on Toonami/Adult Swim".

Half the mysteries are of a linguistic nature and completely incomprehensible when translated. Only a complete rewrite could fix that.

I've seen the anime up to episode 527 and I'm debating picking up the manga

Am I better off reading Case Closed or a fansub scan of Detective Conan?

>With a series like Detective Conan, what's even the point if you can't understand the mystery?

You're already going to miss about 60% of the mysteries cause that many are fucking kanji related.

No one is going to take advice about the name of the series from a Sera hater.

So, is it confirmed that Rumi=Rum or is Gosho just trying to make us think that and then go "HAH, It was the superintendent all along"

Is it ok to stop reading/watching when Sera is introduced?

t. someone who stopped watching the office when michael left

>Half the mysteries are of a linguistic nature and completely incomprehensible when translated
Yes, the latter half. From volumes 1-43, Gosho didn't use kanji play all that much. I mean, there are some cases like that, but no where near as many as in the second half of the manga. Early Gosho relied more on classic mystery set ups.

They are all red herrings.
Rum is Jirokichi

Sounds like the absolute worst possible idea.

You faggots actually made a second thread?

I thought no one here liked DC?

Is it really summer already?

Post Masumis

Considering they're both suspicious as fuck, I'd bet neither of them are Rum.

>11 unique IPs
We're a small, but dedicated group of autists, apparently.

Says the summer who can't read. And since the post count didn't go up, you've been here.

...

Speaking of Jirokichi, why does Gosho keep adding detectives everywhere
There's too many fucking detectives now
Hattori, Jirokichi, Sera, the secret police cunt, that one dude with a falcon, Sonoko, Sera's squinty brother.
Fuck man, i bet even Sera's loli mom is gonna end up being a detective
Or even worse, he might even make her Heibara's mom.

If someone actually lasted that long, then nothing in DC would phase them, considering that the Kir Arc which precedes Sera's appearance was the lowest point of the series.

>God Tier
Vermouth Arc

>High Tier
Early Chapters

>Mid Tier
Bourbon Arc
Rum Arc

>Low Tier
Kir Arc

[distant Cellphone arc]

Jirokichi isn't a detective.

Wasn't he the fucking sushi eyepatch detective?

Jirokichi is the old man who's always fighting with KID.

But I know what you mean. The series has a surplus of smart heroes and a deficit on smart villains.

Sera is 10x worse than the Kir act you fucking scumbag

Sera's mom is named Mary Sera. Haibara's mom is named Elena Miyano so they're not the same person, but they are sisters. And she probably will turn out to be some kind of agent.

Come again?

I respect your right to have an opinion but why do you hate my wife so much?

Oh I just did.

>Akemi and Shuuichi were cousins
hot

Woulda thought Gosho was into incest?

Episode 900 hype.

I'm looking forward to the adaptation of the preschool chapters.

Not that user, but while he was a fucking annoying clumsy nigger, he wasn't worse, they're just as bad.
At worst, he made the audience hate him for interfering

Sera is basically Hattori-style character but without anything that makes her likeable
The issue is that she brings nothing new to the table
Her character is basically "She's a detective Ran" or "She's a kung-fu Hattori girl"
Most of the time you don't give a fuck about her and all her gags are about her being flatchested.
Even as a detective, you don't have any rivalry between her and Conan.
The only interesting things about Sera are the things that she's involved in. I bet you any other members of her family could have filled her role and nothing would have changed.
It's been years but could somebody remind me if Bourbon was an actual character or if that was Shuuichi the entire time.

>without anything that makes her likeable
completely subjective. I love Sera but I couldn't care less about Heiji.

He made Sera cause supposedly people wanted a female detective after that episode where 4 or 5 detectives gathered on an island and the killer was the female detective.

Lot of "you"s in there.

As of typing this post, that's roughly 7 posts per IP.

How is that unreasonable by any measure?

...

It doesn't help at least (hopefully) 2 people are still fighting in the last thread and will probably join us when it expires.

She was cuter than sera though.

>but without anything that makes her likeable
-tomboy
-snaggletooth
-chill as fuck
-jeet kun do
-loyal bro
-mystery girl
-bourbon suspect
-shuuchi's imouto
-competitive without being argumentative
-cute

>Even as a detective, you don't have any rivalry between her and Conan.
That's a good thing. The lame rivalry between Conan and Heiji is played out. Conan's at his best when he's working side-by-side with people who are of equal intelligence as him, like Shuuichi or the Nagano detectives. His petty arguments with Heiji get annoying.

>It's been years but could somebody remind me if Bourbon was an actual character or if that was Shuuichi the entire time.
Bourbon turned out to be Amuro, but he turned out to be a double agent anyway, so the entire thing was pointless.

Personally I think Sera is cuter but they're both great.

I lost my shop of Sera with Natsuki's glasses

>but they're both great
The detective koshien girl isn't a character. She hasn't been seen since the case. Same thing with all those detectives from the Sunset Mansion Case.

That doesn't mean she can't be great. She's one of my favorite characters in the series.

Actually an Eisuke prototype

She sort of IS a character since Sera is based (initially) upon her.

I already joined.

If I were a mod I would delete Sera pics on sight

You'd be fired almost immediately for deleting on topic posts.

Jimmy, I can handle. What really bugs me is Anita Hailey.
