It would explain why the ending had abandoned amusement parks. They tried to control the Sandstar and failed, causing the volcano eruption and creation of the Ceruleans. They abandoned it and placed a No-Fly Zone over it and left it for decades.
Now Kaban-chan will help the Friends fix up the park and get a message off the (presumed) island to contact civilization. In the future she is then Mirai (which means future) who is the main guide to the park for everyone to enjoy it with the Friends.
