Do people in this country give a shit about what they eat? In what world would you think a 25 cent pack of hot dogs would be good?

I wish Mcdonalds would be cheaper here in Europe... you pay like 15 dollar for 4 chicken nuggets and stuff like tthat.

Also the XXX menus in Europee are children menus in the US in terms of size....

I don't eat that shit

And people wonder why they get cancer

Holy shit that's cheap. I'd buy it. If I get sick I just won't buy it again.

I got 450 grams of tesco value sausage for 16p

because we pay 25 cents for a pack of hot dogs, a 99 cent box of Kraft mac and cheese, then we buy a 12 pack of Miller high life and some Marlboros and we are set.

I wouldn't eat hotdogs if you paid me to. Never mind what is or isn't in them, they just taste plain revolting. Don't understand the appeal.

You do realize it's probably marked down to that price because the store was flooded with that brand of hot dog.

Seen it happen before
>store gets much much more of a certain product than it has room for
>fuck it, make it a feature and slash the price to make sure it sells fast

you gotta do what you gotta do

there is a lot of pig blood and blood plasma in them... about half of it... dried and squeezed together into one juicy hotdog... with some additional food coloring it looks just like meat..

The rest of us pay the higher prices. We are subsidizing that .25 cents.

How come food is so much cheaper in America than here in Europe? That's the first thing I noticed when I visited there in 2011. I literally went into McDonald's and got double the amount of food, for the same price as here in England. Eating out is also crazy cheap, even when you factor in tipping. Is this why you're all so fat? Do you ever cook at home? I probably wouldn't if I lived in America full time.

That and it's Walmart. They are well known for doing loss leaders to get people into the store.

Socialism.

All beef hotdogs are pretty good. Chicago style. Or with a little bit of mustard and dill.

Look at this faggot who doesn't enjoy a long, slimy shaft of meat going down his throat. Fucking queer.

You two have obviously never had hot dogs from 100% grass fed beef. Shit is delicious and trustworthy

farm subsidies

the only people who eat hotdogs are fatties, children, and baseball fans. They are cheap because it's made from pig feet and chicken scraps. No bueno unless it's all beef but even then they suck

...

I don't eat hotdogs. Never liked the taste, reminds me of bologna.

I'm sure it's no worse than other hot dogs. It's 25 cents because it's on sale, dummy.

Wlamart does a good job. They have things called "loss leaders" to get people in the stores.
tldr; hot dogs are fine nutrition on the cheap

It's not being advertised as a health food idiot
this just shows that in America you CAN live on a minimum wage job

IKR - must be the same spice wtf it is that they use

I had that brand of hotdogs before. They made me sick and they taste like shit too. There's a reason why they're dirt cheap..

When not on sale, they're usually ~$1.00/pack.

farm subsidizing and cheaper ingredients...

processed corn syrup instead of real sugar for example. Yellow colored palm oil instead of real cheese etc..

Lower incomes

Wal-Mart fag here. The meat department manager at that store probably has either understated on-hands or features from home office, he's trying to get rid of them. Notice no rollback pricing on the sign nor is there any "was pricing." Sloppy zone. Incorrect UOM label for the mustard. Low-tier manager. Those hotdogs usually sell for 98 cents each.

Isn't that kinda anti-competition? For a country so explicitly capitalist and pro-free market, it seems weird that your government would essentially prop up an entire industry.

If it was dangerous it wouldn't be on the shelf. If the company making those hot dogs was losing money, it wouldn't be on the shelf at that low of a price. What you're looking at is the success of capitalism. Reminder that companies are not responsible for making you stay healthy. You can eat chips and drink soda every day and stay healthy if you know what you're doing.

>Retailer offers low prices
Very Concerning!

Nothing too bad.

It's the standards of the animals that generally leads to cheaper goods. The animals have less spent on them for health care.

Vegan food is often expensive because they tend to use organic produced ingredients which are more expensive to produce.

>In what world would you think a 25 cent pack of hot dogs would be good?

The land of plenty. The new Atlantis. The capital of the world.

No idea but I cannot stand that taste. The worst thing is it's one of those tastes that stays in your stomach so you taste it when you burp.

no, it makes us great and presrves farmlands from developers

Those Bar S franks make excellent bullhead bait.

Taste like ass though.

in a world filled with nickle packs of hot dogs

what's up fags. let me explain to you what is going on here

This is a frequent Wal-Mart tactic. It's called a "loss-leader." Wal-Mart is selling hotdogs at a loss in order to get you to buy more shit. They are notorious for strong arming its suppliers into extremely deep discounts on products, in order to move a large number of goods in a small period of time with a big sale. There is absolutely nothing different between these hotdogs and the $5 hotdogs. This sale loses Wal-Mart money, maybe a few bucks. HOWEVER, when you buy that $4 mustard and $3 bag of bread? Walmart makes its money back, you get excited about the great deals and come back more, and everyone is happy.

The hotdogs we get in aus actually do have the texture of a cock, so you aren't far off the money.

Maybe you can get good ones in the states if and are to be believed but every hotdog I've ever had here looks like dick, feels like dick and sure as shit tastes like dick.

does hungry people exist in america

Pussy

do they taste better when they're $1?

Never thought a fellow American would be triggered by a fucking cheap hot dog holy fuck

say what you want about jews but they make damn good ass hot dogs.

you don't even need mustard or ketchup their so flavorful.

...

>there is nothing straighter than slathering 12 inch meatsticks into your waiting gullet

walmart is a good corporate heavyweight, sort of. they try to use American suppliers when possible and they do save families money.

otherwise the complete US farm industry would go bankrupt.

Foreign farmers can produce especially meat a lot cheaper in south America

Yeah these are great

True, also, colon cancer, quite common with this lifestyle. But yeah I get it, it's the american way of dealing with their weak. Culling through food.

Joke's on them, I only buy the cheap shit.

definitely the best. Oscar meyer all-beef are pretty good too.

Just had a bologna sandwich for lunch, it was great. I only buy a pack of bologna (or hot dogs, same shit) maybe once a month. Kinda like having a cheat day.

You can also buy a pack of chorizo for $1.00 and if you cook it with eggs and hot sauce it makes a fantastic burrito.

fat people are actually quite hungry because those fat cells scream out for energy, and fat people tend to alternate between skipping meals and gorging

i didn't lose weight until i started eating three squares a day on the regular

why is there cheese in the sausages

Hot dogs are American. You have to be free to really be able to appreciate a delicious hot dog.

Hotdogs are pretty much made up of the crap parts of cow, chickens, and pigs.

yeah sometimes. the problem comes when they drive down quality and force american jobs overseas, because US suppliers have to cut costs in order to make their price demands, lest they be replaced with a competitor that will

Here's a very old, very well known article about Wal-Mart's pricing tactics, and what that means for consumers and American workers.

If one person reads it, I'll be happy: fastcompany.com/47593/wal-mart-you-dont-know

Most of the food industry relies on these subsides now. Our agricultural industry DEMOLISHED Mexico's after NAFTA was passed.

>eating the packaged hotdogjew
cased Franks only for this boy right here

wtf

>True, also, colon cancer, quite commo
that's an element of obesity, not the individual hot dog, per se. if you eat a normal serving of hot dogs in anormal diet, theres no danger.
>tldr: carrots will cause vit a toxicity and death if eaten in excess

Heres a vid of the hot dog factory:
youtube.com/watch?v=nj_qvDf-PGQ

Yum!

because it's good

but not as good as burger

Hell no. You're better off spending a couple more on higher quality hotdogs. I wouldn't even feed Bar S to my dog.

Good?

because it's fat (fat is addictive) and because it's cheaper than meat..

>contains: soy

Who said it's for eating?

this

>There is absolutely nothing different between these hotdogs and the $5 hotdogs.

pretty sure the five dollar hotdogs have beef in them whereas the 25 cent doggers are mostly styrofoam and ground up illegal aliens

>he'll never have kraft dinner

They just didnt sell as fast as expected. Or there was a clerical error and they bought to much?

Who fucking cares? Its a good deal!

With that, however, if you want a good hot dog, do not eat this shit!! This is poor nigger food. All beef dogs are a must if you actually want to eat a decent shit tier food. Vienna makes the best, followed by Nathans.

ALWAYS GO CHICAGO STYLE. NY PLEBS CAN FUCKING SUCK A DICK.

pic related. How we do it where Im from.

In a world where this is all you get on food stamps.

Bar S hotdogs are low tier, but safe enough to eat.
These are loss leaders. They're selling buns and mustard at a slight markup. Standard tactics for retail chains. Do a steep cut on a "luxury" item that is almost useless by itself, overcharge on the accessories.

They also do this when they over-order stock on accident, like over-anticipating summer demands. Now it's winter and the dogs in the freezer are a month from passing their best-by date and they need to dump it or risk tossing it and eating the whole cost. Better to break even than lose it all.

Literally 80% of our gigantic ass country is farmland. We produce staple crops and livestock feed at incredibly low cost. US farming is so effective that the government has to subsidize the industry in certain areas so that the entire industry doesn't collapse. The plains states sit on top of one of the world's largest aquifers, too. Water is basically free and it's sunny as fuck. Our biggest industry is agriculture and we kick ass at it, plus our rail freight network is incredibly effective and cheap.

The other thing is that labor costs here for foodservice workers and grocery store employees are basically abysmal. Aside from high end restaurants, it's a shit tier job for high school kids and retards. The people at the restaurant making you meals are earning like $9/hr maximum.

I have known people who literally lived off of $15/week in food, cooking all their meals at home. It's a bit extreme but you can do it if you shop smart.

Inflation in Europe is out of control. Your gas is also double the price we pay for in our most expensive cities (NY,LA), all this adds up to higher food prices.

The poorest Americans can eat meat with every meal, every day, forever. Let that sink in.

Best's is pretty good. I'd rank them 2nd.

(You)

Fuck beef franks. Nathans in particular..Give you a case of Nathindigestion.

My store is currently selling a pound of blackberries for $0.75. When things are on sale for that cheap, it's because we have too much of them, or they're in season. We sell watermelons for $2 in Summer, but you can still buy them now for $5.50 in Winter. Does that mean Summer watermelons are bad for you?

...

too much logic for op

>all the snobs in this thread

its a fucking non all beef hot dog and will taste the same as any non all beef hot dog. would you rather they throw away all the ingredients that go into hot dogs instead of using them and giving people cheap food?

honestly it's carbs that are the killers been on the atkins diet for about a month and lost 20 pounds already, and my diet consists of such staples like sausage and pork rinds

The US is all about crony capitalism, not free markets.

The crony capitalists tell people that removing regulation protecting them makes them more free, and people believe it.

I've seen that and used to belive it, but I think it was secretly funded by Target as anti-Walmart agitprop. All corporations try to max. profits and not sure walmart is any more guilty than the others. In a competettive market, I still choose walmart over local stores because locals tend to be assholes. with a corporation, trhers more direct responsibility.

I'd eat them, not even any soy in there

I only eat Burgers never Hotdogs! NEVER!

You overestimate the brain power of your average leftypol

Bar S hotdags and balogna are usually 89 cents at my WalMart.

Also, eggs are even cheaper. I got 3 dozen for $0.75 the other day.

that's because niggers have little money... you don't want them to steal watermelons , do you ?

no, we have subsidies up the ass here and everything 3x the price

in a world where freedom rings. freedom to sell cancer. It really is the best way to kys user desu senpai

Never tried Nathans because it's so expensive for a small 4 pack.

WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO WITH ALL DOSE LIMES GWYNETH FUCKING COME ON GET IT TOGETHER WOMAN

Fuck you, man, you're not American if you don't eat hot dogs.
