Recently watched the original subbed version. While I do believe it is better I will always have a special place in my heart for the dub, loved this movies as a kid.

I'm not that dude, but I legit prefer the Digimon version of the story. Let's be honest, the "random nerd coincidentally has his area of expertise be necessary to save the world and thus hooks up with the girl that was along for the ride" setting is tired as fuck and whatever character development happened was pretty basic. If anything the most complex character is the uncle.

But being completely honest, I prefer the Digimon movie purely on the basis of it being extremely shorter. Summer Wars is longer because it tries to create a build up to a final countdown that has even greater stakes but I simply don't think it's worth the runtime.

This has got to be one of the best abridged series I've seen.

Fuck no it's not. It's like every other dumb motherfucker out their since 2009 onwards trying to make an abridged series: Awkward nerds stuffing their "witty" dialogue and meta humor in any and every scene they can in hopes of appealing to other socially inept retards with terribly unfunny inside jokes. The Kuwagamon chase dialogue was forced as hell and made me want to stop watching right there. Definitely need to work on things audio-side as a whole. Matt sounded so wet and close that I could've sworn he was about to stab me with his knife of ramen (Was it funny? If not, I'll hit you with about 50 more shit jokes in 30 seconds until one of them sticks.)

Christ, have some standards for parody. Youtube abridged series spam is nothing to praise.
