What went wrong?
What went wrong?
Nothing, it was a near masterpiece.
Not enough Subaru
Here have this.
Never understood all the hate this series got
Yes! I like this!
It had boys in it.
People hates dicks
Like all good and traditional mahou shoujo.
The boy was a boy and not a reverse trap
Too many people thought it was just a lengthy ad for Subaru and didn't even bother to try it.
Hold on a second, I been in every single thread of this series since it aired, and I have never seen anyone "hating" it or even shitposting a thread about it, at least on Sup Forums.
Can I post lewd Subarus?
Yes.
The threads were fucking great.
I think my Subaru has a problem. It's leaking fluids.
Any mechanic here?
I got the artbook, and these images are in there.
But in such a small resolution it's basically useless.
Check the radiator.

...
Wrong? Nothing.
But I'm pretty sure pic related is an example of what when so fucking right.
*went
Also the threads were pretty great
...
Nothing, it was great.
Meh storyline, meh characters, meh romance. I was looking forward to some actual romance in my mahou shoujo but the whole show was just so unengaging on all levels that it fell into rightful obscurity.
Literally nothing, are you some kind of faggot?
So, how do you suppose the presidents technology works?
His race can choose which possible branch to go down, and even send people through them (i.e. connecting the characters, or sending them back at the end of the show), but what exactly causes the branching?
At first I assumed they (at full power) could make literally anything that is possible happen. While I'm not that knowledgeable about quantum physics, as I understand, lots of absolute bullshit is possible, just stupid unlikely. So having that power would explain how they can perform magic like summoning drive shafts and breathing in space.
But when they go back in time to the origin of all of Earths branches at the end of the series, they are brought the the point just before life appears on earth. If branching happened due to natural randomness, they would have been brought back to the creation of Earth, not the creation of life on Earth. Also if it was from natural randomness, that would go against why he wanted girls who haven't chosen a path in life.
It all implies that the branching is caused only by life, which is supported by pic related. Perhaps physics is completely deterministic and what happens is the only thing that could happen, but life has a soul or something beyond that, making life (and it's free will) the only thing that causes different possibilities. Each of the timelines is based on free choices that they made, this is directly shown where Aoi and Subaru's timeline split based on which school they chose.
That makes sense and all, but in that case how do they use this to give them "magic"?
Am I to believe that every human has the possibility to not burn up at the surface of the sun if they believe and choose not to? Or is it a totally separate tech?
I'm still too stupid for this show, and no one will read this post anyway.
...
Nothing went wrong. It was a good epitaph for Gainax.
No, that's basically it. Life, especially humans, have a will that they can impose on the world. They have the possibility to become "anything they have the potential for". It's just that this potential is often much greater than we assume we have. Everything in life is a choice, from the words you speak to the food you eat to the relationships you make.
I like the quantum soul theory, that basically even in a deterministic universe you can never fully know what will happen, because everything is up to probability (Heisenberg etc etc). The infinite branches of the universe show every possible combination and every choice that can be made, and the tech puts them on whichever path they want or something.
No, episode 3 is the reason I can't recommend this show to my friends or my family.
Episode 3 is where the show is getting good.
I really love their signature hand holding. It's so surreal and peaceful if they gaze into the stars floating in space.
>this potential is often much greater than we assume we have
To the point of flying through space, mind over matter I suppose.
I guess my problem was that I was thinking of it as "I can pick the timeline in which you choose to make me breakfast", but I guess it's more inwardly focused, like "I can pick the timeline where I do something I didn't even know was possible". He used the technology to unlock their potential, not let them actually make universe-altering choices.
>quantum soul theory
This is interesting and seems quite relevant.
Thanks for the reply user, these threads always help me understand things.
Are your friends and family all nuns?
Wow that is amazing.
the shota was a trap, though
>subaru
>toyota
>mercedes-benz
Where the fuck is my Honda funded mahou shoujo series?
So, is there a way I can get prism palette?
I'll give you my copy if you dress up as Minato and kiss me.
You got a Honda-funded motorcycle anime with Kobayashi Yuu.
>Honda-sponsored anime
That's One-off. Sad there's no series.
No thanks. I don't want to sacrifice my dignity for a slice of mango.
You didn't post Subaru.
Whenever I think about Nanako my pants start to feel po-warm.
>pic related is an example of what when so fucking right
False advertisement.
I liked this show.
>at least on Sup Forums
You just answered your own question
But nowhere outside of Sup Forums has an opinion worth listening to
Incorrect, nowhere has an opinion worth paying attention to
>What went wrong?
Not enough people watched it.
I haven't watched this, but I like the blue one.
