Hinduism general

>What is Hinduism

Hinduism is the oldest organized religion in the world. It is the Sanatana Dharma, the Eternal Law. It has no known origin and no founders - it is a synthesis of various Indian cultures and practices from as early as 4000 BCE.

Hinduism differs from Christianity and other Abrahamic religions in that it does not have:

>A single concept of deity,

>A single holy text,

>A single system of morality,

>A central religious authority,

>The concept of a prophet.

Hinduism is neither polytheistic, monotheistic, trinitarian or henotheistic, yet it is all at the same time.

The development of Hinduism was influenced by many invasions over thousands of years. The major influences occurred when light-skinned, nomadic "Aryan" Indo-European tribes invaded Northern India (circa 1500 BCE) from the steppes of Russia and Central Asia. They brought with them their religion of Vedism. These beliefs mingled with the more advanced, indigenous Indian native beliefs, often called the "Indus valley culture."

>Political significance of Hinduism
All the decadence of the world today has been predicted by Hinduism.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kali_Yuga

Prophesied events during a Kali Yuga

>Rulers will become unreasonable: they will levy taxes unfairly.
>Rulers will no longer see it as their duty to promote spirituality, or to protect their subjects: they will become a danger to the world.
>People will start migrating, seeking countries where wheat and barley form the staple food source.
>At the end of Kali-yuga, when there exist no topics on the subject of God, even at the residences of so-called saints and respectable gentlemen of the three higher varnas [temperament] and when nothing is known of the techniques of sacrifice, even by word, at that time the Lord will appear as the supreme chastiser.

Kali Yuga with regard to human relationships

>Avarice and wrath will be common. Humans will openly display animosity towards each other. Ignorance of dharma will occur.
>People will have thoughts of murder with no justification and will see nothing wrong in that.
>Lust will be viewed as socially acceptable and sexual intercourse will be seen as the central requirement of life.
>Sin will increase exponentially, while virtue will fade and cease to flourish.
>People will take vows and break them soon after.
>People will become addicted to intoxicating drinks and drugs.
>Teachers will no longer be respected and their students will attempt to injure them. Their teachings will be insulted, and followers of Kama(lust) will wrest control of the mind from all human beings

I love the Gita, I've read it at least three times through since I got into it about two years ago, but I couldn't get into the upanishads at all. Should I skip them and try the vedas?

If you coundnt get into the upnishads you won't get into the Vedas, look into Ramayan and mahabharat

thanks

Can you tell me why so many Hindus are vegetarians? I've never gotten an answer from any of the Hindus I know IRL (only three).

How do you respond to the Jewish claim that you are bowing down to idols?

There isn't a religious reason, it's mostly a family thing if you come from a vegetarian family it's hard to turn non vegetarian, and the vegetarians consider non veg as impure and disgusting so that's a factor too

Nothing wrong with idols we are all manifestation of a cosmic consciousness, if worshiping stones provides me with strength and purpose i definitely will

Ahh, so more of a "Hindu Culture" thing than "Hindu Religion" thing.

Could you explain why India is such a poo hole despite Hinduism

...

Bump.

Yawn. Can't be bothered to look into it. When I ask for answers, the worst thing you can say is just read the books lmao

"You don't shit where you eat"
Many people used to and still li believe that despite modern drainage system. They literally believe it. That's why.

We already know you cannot read Jamal

Sort of, yeah. I asked my parents a while back why they never really cooked any meat for me. While they wanted to for protein, they never really learned how to do it. And they didn't want to risk improperly cooking the meat and give us food poisoning. So we avoided it all together. The only meat we ate were the chicken nuggets from McDonalds and meat prepared at friends' houses.

Unironic serious question
Why are cows sacred in hinduism?

youtu.be/BS4D95ejpl0

I appreciate your informative response!

Ayy lmao

Pushpak viman not ayys

Cool video, but in the actual canon, shall we say, of Hinduism, why are cows sacred?

The video is from the actual canon

I watched the video, buddhist king outlawed ritual sacrifice and that's why hindus today love cows so much, and I get that cows are generally sacred in many different indo-european religions, but what I'm getting at is, is there a specific deity that's a cow, or did a deity in hinduism claim cows are sacred or?

Hindu is still different in that the sacredness of cows as a vital resource to Aryan herdsmen got perverted into refusing to use them as a resource. Your ancestors ate beef.

Cows are present in multiple postions as vehicles of gods or as their important side kick, cows are believed to me mother like and as they are a source if income for a lot of people.
They ate beef of cows offered as sacrifice which isn't practiced in most of India anymore

cows? you meant to say burgers son.

>Deity and cows
There are many. But the most popular is Krishna (Avatar of Vishnu). He was of yadu dynasty (Cow herders and Kshatriyas)

nice thread poo, thx

what do you think about Savitri Devi?

I found myself quite lost at his interpretation of Hitler, cause I know I don't have the knowledge and and spirituality to fully get it. It's like truth translated into words.
She wrote straight from her hearth and soul, and was a true redpill for me.

Her works are pretty entertaining to read but in the end she was a LARPer a really good one but still

A fan of DEFIANCE myself

...

...

> she was a LARPer

care to elaborate?

will be on of my next reading. dunno when though, cause I am reaching levels of books to finish that shouldn't even be possible :D

She proclaimed Hitler was Kalki either she didn't understand that the avatars of vishnu have been named or she was LARPING she had really good intentions though helped one of our leaders to setup a meeting with Hitler which lead to the formation of INA

so there is no chance of Hitler being one of the Vishnu Avatars? Pardon me if I am ignorant on the subject, and try to bare with me plz, but there are like 10 of them in the Sanskrit Hinduism right? Are all of them already appeared? Not any chance at all we don't know the resemblance of all of them?

Yes vishu is said to have 10 avatars, Kalki or the guy who will bring end to this yug cycle will be the last unless Hitler national socialism regime somehow destroys civilisation and forces us into a restart he isn't a avatar, the yug is supposed to end in 2025

>there are like 10 of them in the Sanskrit Hinduism right? Are all of them already appeared?
Kalki is the tenth and the last avatar. Kali yuga (the world as we know it) ends with him. Since Hitler died but the current yuga didn't end, he is not him.

>the yug is supposed to end in 2025
Can't be, Manjeet. Each yuga lasts for 432000 years. And the current yuga is only 5000 years old

...

thx I'll check it soon or later.
so the nine avatar before Kalki already appeared?

not really...not even try to scratch or grasp a little of knowledge from one of the ancient and among the most spiritual religion and tradition, deeply correlated with the concept of the black sun is not only restarted but symptom of a dead minid

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dashavatara

Ignore buddha in this and yes they have already appeared

FAKE NEWS. Kali yuga (432000 years) is the shortest of all yugas, macha.

Ok, thank you.
Now it's clear.

You should open the article I linked he understands sanskrit better than your plebbit knowledge

APOLOGIZE

Fucking Dalit Niggers couldn't understand the Word of God

>the article
Read the Hindu texts, you kike

Pic related. Deserved it

>interprets texts and writes an article in English

But are these ten not avatars/archetypes? If Hitler was not Kalki, the next Hitler-like figure might be Kalki if we go by the swiss' interpretation.

The interpretation say he will come and kill the degenerates, from what I understand this is the age of degeneracy and it's gonna get worse death will be a reward by Kalki
